I still don't approve of them dating in any case, it's just too weird. But my point was Shania is obviously missing having a man in her life, even though she has all those other great luxuries (and blessings) in her life.

I have to agree with that. As well when Mutt asked Shania for a divorce she asked for a reason and he would not give her one. Then she found out about the affair and she left for Canada. No Frederic and shania got together sometime after that.

Excuse me, so how is shacking up with frederick the only thing that makes her happy. Why would she be miserable? She has her  health,her money,her child and her freedom.
I don't care who she goes out with. But if you ask any logical person it was bad idea to hook up with the ex of the woman who cheated with Mutt.
It is called self control and not jumping in the bed with the first guy who you know and are friends with.

I think we should remember that she was rumored to have dated someone else in between.  Maybe there has been more than one in between.  I read somewhere that she had posted her profile on a site called Wealthychat.com.  It's for rich single people.  I'd really like to read her profile but too scared to create an account.  I'm not rich. Ha! Ha!  I think twain2country is right she's in a no win situation.  If she dates too much she'll be considered a slut and I don't see her wanting to be alone for too long and finding the right guy sometimes is an endless process.  You have to find the one that's "right" for you and to do that you have weed out the ones that aren't which means you have to have choices.  Difficult if you're not famous let alone with the world watching and critiquing all your choices.  Living in a fishbowl would suck.  We need to cut her some slack.  I was hoping she'd wait a while longer before getting back on that scene but that's her choice.  I'd just like to think she's one of those people who'd take longer to get over the death of her marriage and be more emotional about it and pine away forever I guess like I probably would want to do.  I still cry over my hamster I had back in high school.

well i don't know about that.If you look at the lists by Forbes or Fortune of the richest people most aren't celb's.Plus when Shania's divorce first broke i saw that someone claimed Mutt was worth 250 million Shania was worth 150 million and than others claimed he was worth 350 she was worth 250,the last report i saw was he was worth 550 she was worth 450 and that was before the stock market down turn,so i don't think anybody really knows what there worth,i wish i had about 10% of whatever it is.

  I don't think it's about the money with her.  I think it would be about trying to rule out a guy just being with or going after her for her money.  Maybe she thinks if she can get past whether or not he's just after the bling it will be easier to determine a person's true intentions.  Just guessing or maybe she's trying to find someone who can keep her in a manner she's accustomed to.  Either way it would be a difficult situation.  If she uses money as determinant she may be missing out on some great people if she weeds out friends and lovers by the size of their bank accounts.  Not that I believe that she would but I guess if she does that's her choice.  Most rich and famous people surround themselves with "Yes"
people anyway.  By that I mean their circle has people who agree with them all the time they don't choose to be around people who don't indulge them and their egos.  Look at Elvis if there had only been one person in the Memphis Mafia who would have stood up to him and outed him on the drugs thing he might still be here today.  Just my opinion.  Hopefully when Shania does comeback she'll still be the down to earth person we all love her for being anyway.  She may be a little more distant as far as letting people in it may take her longer to trust because of what she's been through but as fans we won't be able to see that side of her anyway we'll be too far away.  Just some thoughts.

As far as lifestyle goes Elvis and Shania could not be more different.

Now that Mutt is a three-time loser I think Shania will think long and hard before picking another mate out.  If ever.  I am sure her opinion of men has changed dramatically since her split up.

That is so true! Why is it that the honest and decent guy never seems to end up with girl. A lot of guys would crawl over broken glass to do whats best & right for a girl like Shania. If I was with Shania, I would made every effort to be there and support her. Shania seems to be like most women, they always fall for the bad boys! Sad thing is, the next boy friend or husband will probably be the same. Women in general, just seem to love bad men!  

I think Shania will learn from her mistakes! A average guy, with an average job would probably be a good thing for Shania right now!!May keep her level headed! Then again!!!!!

Mutt did support her in her career except for the fact of not showing up at events with her. He made her one of the richest woman in entertainment and was her musical partner. And we also don't know if Mutt even had an affair or if they each had mutual affairs and what their situation was.
I have come to the conclusion that every single quote in every magazine(including people magazin) by so called pals of Shania are bogus. These so called friends probably have't talked to her in years.
If Mutt is envolved in this album then the media has spun this whole thing and Shania and Mutt agreed to split mutually long ago.
the telling tale will be who is producing her new album.
If Mutt has nothing to do with it then Shania is distancing herself from him and does feel betrayed by him. but if Mutt has anything at all to do with the new album then we have all been fed a bunch of bull for months.

Quite simple. Why would Shania make her seperation public until she feels  need to announce it. She decided to announce it in May but who knows how long they were actually seperated. Maybe people were starting to find out that they were seperated so she decided to announce it.
As for Shania throwing Mutt under the bus? I don't think I would word it that way.It could be that Mutt is taking the fall for Shania because Shania is the one who has to have a career in the public and pubic perception means everything. Mutt doesn't care what people think of him, he is behind the scenes.
It would look bad if Shania was dumping the old guy.
I know we are all guessing and speculating but I wonder if we will ever find out the truth.

Well i will just say Mutts is a great producer,Shania is a great singer and they made a great team.As far as Shania's career goes she may have made it with out Mutt because she had the looks and the talent .To say what Shania's career without Mutt would have been is like trying to answer the question what came first the chicken or the egg.

This is not something we can know but I would guess she would never had attained the heights she did without his help. 

 

Her first album sold about 100,000 copies by the time she connected with Mutt.  It has now sold a little over a million copies.  Looking at the change in the music they produced together it is unimaginable that she would would had the career she has had without him.  She has to factor this into the future as she goes forward no matter what happened to split them apart.

I completely agree. Shania is talented and I personally believe she would have made it anyway.

Mutt gave her confidence in her songwriting, because many of the concepts she had gone to Nashville with were rejected, as they didn't think they would be good enough to record and become hit singles. He kept her ideas, and built on them. In terms of her voice, he loved the sound of her voice when she sat alone with her guitar, but she had problems translating that voice onto the microphone and he really pushed her to get it right. All Shania needed was someone to believe in her and develop that talent. Now the world is her oyster and she has a much clearer picture of what she wants as an artist and the direction she's taking.

Don't know where he placed but he probably ran with his friend Joanna. Fredric and Marie's daughter. Don't know for sure about that but it's a logical assumption. By the way what was the name of that sound in New Zeland she was supposed to be seen at?
