So who is it, if it's not Carrie? And what are Tracey and Ren from the STC, as well as band members like Hardy, making contact with her for then? I don't think they would want to be sharing information with someone pretending to be Shania's sister.

Just got an interesting email from my contact in Virginia, she got a reply from Hardy as he found out yesterday Carrie Ann is a fake and he and BB are longer friends with her. As for Ren and Tracey from the STC, they only added Carrie as a friend to monitor her profile.



Also, someone is pretending to be the real Shania and has set up a profile in her name.

Probably the same imposter.

Doesn't it sound like fun.... create a fake profile.... have people online question if it's real or not. 

Some people love nothing more than getting attention.

Gayle Fine who works for Q Prime is on Facebook, so she was no doubt informed that someone was pretending to be Shania and Carrie.

Does it really matter where her sources came from; she's not likely to divulge them in any case. Tracy and Ren were also sceptical about Carrie, we should let the matter drop now.

 I wonder if Q Prime is going to be fired since Mutt was the one who was instrumental in connecting Shania with them?  Remember she fired her old PR firm just before the last album came out and Q Prime came out of the woodwork.

Hey Tommy..You said it right..Talk about a DELETE button from FACEBOOK...Well at least that will stop that dillusional farce as a fuel to the CD rumour mill..I said it yesterday..The 10 emails to nashville Narc..could have been Cybil(thinking I am joking..NOPE)...The facebook situation. That could have been Mutt.(think I am joking??)..yes... but you get my point..... and as I have always said..I could be a monkey that learned to type..As far as chao,I think he does have a good source but does not seem to have the REAL DEAL source..Shania!!..She is the source..Not Q Prime,not her label,not her band members,not her family,not her friends and NOT forum members..SHE calls the shots thus IS the source and does not talk to us.. As I posted on nashville Narc today as well as my place.the following ...Facebook let the carrie thing run,but as soon as the shania facebook thing surfaced,they moved quick.WONDER WHY??Would it be fair to say,that it might be because that was going too far,and the shania camp moved fast and hard to stop it..If you buy into that thinking,lets extend it to the CD rumour..Her camp again, sat low as long as the CD rumours were restricted to the underworld, BUT once it got serious with CW picking it up they gain moved FAST to end it...My call is they sit low until things get too serious and then move fast and hard...Just my thoughts.. I have No proof,No basis..Just my thoughts

This was the real not Carrie Ann, it is possible for anybody to create a false profile be it on Facebook, Bebo MySpace...there are at least 10 Shania Twain profiles on MySpace, some done as fan tributes and others claiming to be Shania where fans have posted believing it to be Shania herself. Again stick to trusted sources and official announcements, these fake profiles and blogs are intended to mislead people.

But I'm very curious... How did you guys figure out for sure it was a fake?
Because that fake had alot of people fooled, myself included.
Did you guys talk to the real Carrie, or Shania or something???

We have ways of getting information and none of them involve physical violence.  :D :D :D

I think the thing that made it most suspect is the fact that she was sharing supposedly PRIVATE information with fans.  Everyone knows how Shania is a PRIVATE person.  Do you think her SISTER would share that info with just anyone on facebook???  And then, she made sure to tell everyone not to repeat anything... we all know how that worked out.  ;)

I hear Carrie-Ann could be somewhat uptight with her sister's fans and is not as easy as Shania may come off, so this friendly chatty facebook profile was like the complete opposite of that which made no sense to me right from the start. Plus the place of work did not match up.

I think most people new it was a fake when they said Shania had a cd coming out soon but it was hush hush,that was kind of a give away,well except for kevy.

If Shania or Carrie Ann do go online much I'm sure they use private e-mail accounts and don't go through places like facebook and myspace. There would be too many people wanting to be in contact with them and there are too many hackers who could hack into those e-mails and messages. Also Carrie Ann is very close to Shania and giving any information about her sister without approval from Shania would jeopardize that relationship and Carrie would never hurt Shania that way. Just my thoughts. Also I'm sure Carrie Ann has been in the limelight with Shania enough to know a lot of people only use her to get close to Shania so I'm sure she is very seasoned on how to handle this kind of stuff.

We'll probably see one once Shania comes back. Carrie is usually around somewhere when Shania's in the public eye.
