Hey does anyone remember that Shania only hired people who didn't drink or do drugs to be in her band. That was a strict requirement of hers. Also she was following that San Matt guy who beliveved in abstinence from all that abusive stuff. Also remember her saying that she got drunk when she was in her teens her parents let her do it till she got so sick and that cured her of ever wanting do drink again. But then if you go to Hardy's website she it on the stage taking a sip of a beer after Hardy because a fan bought it for them. Looks like to me she didn't even take a good sip and she said she didn't do it right but I believe she only pretended to drink it for the sake of the guy who bought it not to hurt his feelings and so he could have the souvenir cup that her lips touched. Maybe she autographed it for him later. Some people do not like the taste of beer. This is one of the main reasons I respect her. You don't hear all the rumors about her partying and drinking and being all crazy like most celebs. Her image is too important to her. She knows one day her son will be reading and asking questions about all this and she wants to set the right example for him. I hope she keeps him away from all that celeb party world. That is probably why she doesn't like to go to the parties. She knows what they are all about and doesn't want to be connected with it.
Nothing wrong with going to them just don't get messed up on anything because when you loose control bad stuff normally happens. She was too focused on her music and writing when she was young to do stuff to mess herself up. Also said she hated performing in bars because of the smell of the beer and drunk people. I think it's great that she admits she may have tried things but used better judgement to say no because she knew what she wanted and knew that drinking and drugs would be going in the opposite direction of where she wanted to go. I hate reading about how Toby Keith and others show up at concerts drunk and the shows suck. I would ask for my money back. Don't want a half ass performance by a drunk. I want my money's worth and that would not be worth it. Just my opinion.

Right! There aren't any pictures of anybody at the party so it's wrong to draw the conclusion that Shania wasn't there just because there isn't any pics of her. The media was kept away.

I watched E-news tonight and they did a segment on Jen's party and they said nothing about Shania being there,the only one that is saying she was there is Hello.And E news did name alot of celbs that were there,they talked to Tom Hanks and his wife about the party,as well as Countney Cox,no mention of Shania.

E just had that Tom Hanks has been in Switzerland filming a new movie, maybe she came back with them and attended party with them. It could be a way for her to connect to entertainment figures in a safe way. How many music people were there besides John Maier. Aniston may have enjoyed having her there especially in the one song she says to the guy who do you think you are Brad Pitt and then says that don't impress me much. She could have sang it to her to give Aniston a good laugh.

A blogger on another site said Shania is friends with both Rita Wilson and Sheryl Crow so there is a chance Shania was at the party.

I said when I first posted on this thread that Shania was probably not there or there would be more news about it.
So I agree with you that she wasn't there.
Just like when USA today said Shania was at the l.a. lakers game a few months ago and we found out she wasn't there.
