LeAnn Rimes responded today to an US Weekly report that she and her Lifetime Television movie co-star Eddie Cibrian are allegedly involved in an affair. In a post on her official website LeAnn writes, "This is a difficult time for me and my loved ones, but I appreciate all of your continued support. I would like to assure all of you that this [her website] is a place for you to hear things directly from me and as you all know, not everything in our lives is always black and white." The cover story of US Weekly's current issue claims that LeAnn, 26, and Eddie, 35, became romantically involved while filming the Lifetime TV movie Northern Lights last fall in Canada. The movie is set to premiere this Saturday, March 21. The article also features pictures claimed to be of the two stars kissing and holding hands while on a dinner date in Laguna Beach, California on March 7. The magazine also reports that they were together again on March 14 for a 3-hour tryst at the Malibu Beach Inn. LeAnn celebrated her seventh wedding anniversary with husband, Dean Sheremet, on March 11 and was spotted holding hands with him while visiting a Los Angeles area farmers' market on March 1. Eddie has been married to model Brandi Glanville since 2001 and has two sons aged 5 and 2.
LeAnn was a guest on this morning's Live with Regis and Kelly where she said, "Everything's great!" People.com reports that when Regis Philbin brought up that there is a rumour circulating about her, LeAnn shrugged it off saying, "There's rumours all the time." She added, "Things pass, life happens. You know, everything people read is not...as easy as black and white. That's what it is. I let it roll off my back most of the time." Dean Sheremet reportedly posted a Twitter update earlier today that said, "I love my wife!!!"
Eddie also responded to the US Weekly report today with a statement to Access Hollywood that vehemently denies the alleged affair. "Other than being friends and two actors who were romantically intertwined in a movie-for-television we filmed last fall, there is no truth to the reporting initiated by US Magazine," he states. "It is a fabricated story that is using random snapshots as connective tissue to create a scandalous relationship."
