Mad Dancer Media is the new company running the OFC now. MusicToday has nothing to do with it any more.

Do the blogs already exist? They only promised that Shania would have a monthly updated blog but she only wrote one letter this year. Or were there more?

There's only one blog so far. They are referring to future blogs.

But it says "we" are moving. Who exactly has typed this thing?

The same ppl are still doing the admin but hosted by some new company, so is the same bad customer service still gonna happen?

MDM probably kept the staff ("we") who updated the site, OFC, etc. when MusicToday ran it and will continue to maintain the site under the direction of MDM. MDM will handle customer service from now on.

This is all weird, just when the unprecidented thing happens of Shania agreeing to message fans every month, she splits from MusicToday. Do you think MusicToday pressured her to do that or they drop her? Just a thought and I said that before too.

Wonder if Shania knew or had this done or if it was just a decision by the people who run the Fan club? Maybe it has something to do with the technical side of things as far as the video blogs and stuff. Maybe Music today could not handle that end of the fanclub needs. Or wonder if it has to do with the divorce part of things. Maybe now that Mutt is not in the picture she wants to start everything all over and not have him a part of any aspect of her career anymore. Just my rambling thoughts.

Why would any company want a client who does nothing and hasn't even made an effort to do one single thing in so many years?
Her label may dump her next and loyalty only lasts so long.

Shania is staging a comeback, so it makes sense why she should want to get things with her OFC sorted out now. I believe she is still on the Mercury Records label, haven't heard otherwise.

I think this is a positive step forward. It shows more action by Shania to get back on track.....these things don't happen overnight.

As someone else wrote on another forum, it would seem this the first step of taking back control, or getting away from anything connected to Mutt.

I dont see how things will change with the fan club, the statement suggests the same ppl are in charge! They must deal with the actual correspondence and that was where the problems were. Maybe it wasnt MusicTodays fault. Angie, could you clear this up for us, thank you in advance.

I think her making any change in the fan club is a positive sign since the old fan club sucked! I sense she is in the fast forward mode to get back on track. Maybe Whitney Houston's comeback is encouraging to her. Can't wait for new music. She is suppose to have a song with Willie Nelson on an album he is releasing Aug 11th. I don't know if these are old are new, one ad says 3 new songs on album.

I think he is just releasing the version of Blue Eyes Cryin' in the Rain that they did. Not for sure but I believe that is what I read somewhere or saw on the CMT insider.
I think he is just adding some new songs of his own to some duets he did with other people and Shania is one of them.

On the Fan Club website Angie said that it was due to creative differences. So maybe the switch will mean new and exciting things. Maybe it will be more interactive and one fan said that they have 3 levels of membship. The first level is free, next level is a fee and the the VIP level is an even higher free. Apparently the higher level you get a free t-shirt and an autographed picture I think. Not for sure on all of that as it is just hearsay from another poster at the fanclub. I think this will be a way for Shania and the fanclub to appease all the people complaining about having to pay to be a fan and have access to the blogs and stuff. I don't know how it will affect all that as we don't know all the details yet but Angie will keep us informed as best she can. Lots of excitement about all the changes because many people are taking it to mean that Shania may be about finished with the album and may be ready to release something new. Who knows though we have all heard those rumors and wishful thoughts for so long now that it is not even exciting anymore. I will just sit back and be patient and wait for as long as it takes to get the new music and the blog. No use in believing the same old rumors that never come true. New music will be great but won't believe any rumors until I have a Cd in my hand. I wonder if it is a coincidence that the new fan club is connected to Taylor Swift and Dolly Parton or if Shania actullay hand picked these people or if just her people picked them.

They would be crazy to dump her now especially with herplanning to come back to music. Anyone in their right mind knows how much she has been missed in the music world and they know she is a very valuable product still with lots of money left to make. Although Shania is not in it for the money but in it for the fans and the music at this point. She doesn't need the money but the industry does and the labels.

I think that is going a bit overboard.
Shania at one time had some good friends like Reba and Vince but Shania has distanced herself from them for years.
Of course if someone asks an artist what do you think of Shania being here at the CMA they won't bash her in the media.
But I wonder what they say behind her back when the cameras are off.
What do you think many of them really think of her when she waltzes in every year with no music and she takes the attention away from those making music and doing something.
I saw more than a few eyes roll when she got that staged standing ovation at the CMA.
In fact one of her very few friends in nashville,Reba, has not said anything about Shania since 1999. She even didn't ask Shania to be on her duets album.
I think if you ask her peers behind closed doors what they think of Shania now you may get another answer.
Shania has by her choice distanced herself from her peers and the music industry and has done very little work after she made her money and took off.
There has been excuse after excuse over the years.
And to top it all off they accepted her at the CMA Last year and she said she will be seeing a lot more of everyone and then took off and hid again.
I think she may not be that welcomed back as you think.

I hope Shania is a huge success and everyone welcomes her back but she has only herself to blame if it doesn't work out like you think.
The years have gone by, she is 44 and new artists who only started out in 2005 have put out just as much work as Shania has in her whole career.

It is quite sad as a Shania fan to see what has become of once vibrant and motivated artist.

If you saw people rolling their eyes it was because they are jealous that she could be gone that long and still recieve that kind of reception by her fans and her peers and also they are afraid because they know when she does come back she'll knock them off the charts and dominate them once again. Just wait and see.

I agree with you Tonto that lots are jealous of her.
But that doesn't change the fact that artists are out their doing music and creating music while Shania has not nothing at all and came to the CMA just to hand out the last award and said she will be back soon. It has been several years she has done nothing and came to the CMA or ACM just to hand out the last award and take attention away from those how actually are making music.

I hope you are right about her having huge success when she comes back but so much time has passed and she has not even done anything inbetween her long studio album gap. She could of done a christmas album or something for her fans over the years but chose to do nothing at all.
So we will see what success she will have and how accepted she will be.

We don't know how close Shania is with these other stars just because she doesn't go to these events.They could be talking on the phone visiting each others homes and nobody would know that.I think its silly to believe that anybody knows how these other stars look at Shania.

As Shania has said in interviews, success isn't everything. If her next album doesn't sell as well as the others, this could be down to any number of factors besides the obvious like the long gap between studio records and being out of the public eye.

I wanna also know Shania Twain was suppose to do a monthly blog for updates on how things are going with the music does someone know if she is coming back this year or if it's gonna be a long time because I though now for sure Shania Twain would have been ready to released let me know thanks

The public (non-fan club members) Shania website and the fan membership site will be changing. Yes Shania will be a monthly blog of some kind. She will most likely be back next year. We hope!
