I just watched the video and read the letter she wrote.......I thought both of these were AWESOME! It shows that a lot of healing is going on in her life.....I think Fred was just what the doctor ordered!

I'm not typically the fan when I listen to music, but this video looks pretty cool. They look like very normal people when traveling. Whatever happens in the future is anyone's guess, but it's good to see her smile. If Fred's making her that happy then that's what counts, regardless of our opinions (negative or positive) about the guy.

I am mixed about this "gift". It is good to see her happy. But I don't need to see her private videos. I am not really sure why people are even being "allowed" to watch this private family time. Kinda weird.

I give her props for looking normal and for letting her age show. Big props for that. She looks like the healthy and happy 44-year-old that she is. It is amazing how photos in mags are so touched up.

I just want new music. I don't want any more videos of her snowboarding, yachting, swimming.....etc....just new music.

I can't believe how many negitive reactions we have here.

So you guys are saying, you rather not see Shania showing how she over came the bumpy roads by traveling around the World showing love towards her son while having a blast than to see her stand in front a "Mugshot" backwall of the LAPD booking office? To put the frustration out onto another celebrity by fighting in a "A Class" dance club? Ah good ole Lindsay Lohan...

I did thought it was odd how she showed Eja? I would never thought of seeing that day...

Dancia Patrick teaches Shania how to drive Italian sports car and let her drive this Lamborghini to the limit? That would fulfil ALOT of males fantasies: fast Italian exotic cars & attractive, famous women who are famous for sex appeal. LOL

Just as long, we don't see Shania as the next "Go Daddy" spokesperson....

Remember, life is too short. Let her enjoy it finally for once. She worked her azz off to get this break.

I hear ya on this. But I do think that she could be sticking it to Mutt and Fred's ex wife for their betrayal if that's what actually occured. Who knows? She does look like a well adjusted person and that's a refreshing site in today's world of dysfunctional is in sort of people like Britney Spears, Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan.

Perhaps Shania felt like she was under the gun to throw fans a bone before they left for good. I think this is a prelude to a new image post Mutt and I think I like it. I'm not an artistic sort of person, but I have friends who are and I see how much they suffer for what they do. I see how much they struggle for self expression, inspiration and a logical way to put their ideas down. I'm a salesman and my world is pretty simple, but I'm old enough to know that not everyone has it so simple.

I wonder how it works in terms of their spouses and the kids......can they (Shania and Fred) just take them for weeks at a time for vacations....and the checking in and calling their spouses and letting the kids talk thing has to be weird....especially if Mutt and her are still together....

I mean Eja could be talking to his dad and Fred's ex could be there, which would mean that would he then give the phone to Fred's daugther to speak to her mother........lol

What a mess when you carry on this type of relationship....I know, I know, she seems happy......but it has to bring so much unnecessary drama; especially for the kids.

Shania Surprises Fans On Her Birthday

August 28, 2009 - It's been 7 years since fans have heard new music from Shania Twain. And just over a year ago fans got the shocking news that her 14 year marriage to husband-producer Robert John "Mutt" Lange was ending. But today, Shania let her fans know that she's doing okay and things are going pretty good. The news came by way of a very intimate letter and home video posted on her website shaniatwain.com. The release of the letter and video were part of surprise gift back to her fans on her birthday.

"Why I decided to share this personal side of my life with you at this point is to answer the questions I get asked so often lately: 'how are you, where have you been and what have you been doing?' Shania wrote in the letter. "A big part of the answer is in the [video] montage. I'm 'okay' - yes, I hit a very big bump in the road, but Eja and I are doing well and with all the concern you, my fans, have shown over this difficult period, I want you to see for yourself that we are doing fine, by sharing these personal images with you." Shania went on to confirm for her fans.

The home video images take fans along as Shania takes a tandem skydiving jump from 10,000 feet above the Florida Keys. Shania shares a little of her motivation behind the jump in her words printed on the screen, "It's as if I needed to do something to take my breath away to remind me to breathe." The footage is definitely breathtaking!

Next up, Shania shares her holiday trip to the Swiss Alps, offering fans a firsthand view from her seat in the small Piper airplane she rode in before landing on the top of a glacier for a picnic. Then it was off for a day of skiing with the son Eja.

Shania's next stop in the video was a trip she took to Beirut, Lebanon where she toured the city and spent some time in the bomb ruined areas devasted by that country's civil war. As the footage rolled by Shania's on screen message read "I wish war and its destruction could just end everywhere."

From there Shania makes a stop in Cairo, Egypt where we see her horseback riding across the desert sands in front of the Pyramids. Then Shania trades in her horse for a camel during a visit to the Dubai desert. Then it's back on a horse for beach rides along the coast where the Sinai desert meets the Red Sea...

The video continues with Shania spending time "dancing" with a Spanish Stallion and swimming with the dolpins in Dubai. The video wraps with a stop in Barcelona, Spain and a message from Shania, "My travels have been incredibly rejuvenating. They have filled me up with a deeper appreciation for life and replenished my appetite for living, loving and laughing."

If you don't need her video don't watch it over and over and over again.

If you need new music I suggest you hang up your crybaby routine and get it on with some other artists, until Shania gives us all what we all want.

And stop moaning and groaning - Shania Twain does not live her life for you or I or anyone else but her family and friends and herself.

When she comes back I am sure it will be in a lower key.

If you do not like what she is doing with her life bug off.

No one really cares about you, crybabies.

Shania Twain Reveals Her Relationship With Frederic Thiebaud

Saturday August 29, 2009

More than a year after splitting from her husband following his affair with her best friend, Shania Twain took to her official site to tell fans she's doing great and to announce her new relationship.

On Friday night, the country singer's 44th birthday, she posted a personal letter and a 15-minute video travelogue of her most memorable moments from the past year.

(Last week, she promised fans she would be giving them a "small gift." It was the first time since her appearance at the Country Music Awards in November that Twain spoke publicly through a video on her site.)

"I feel very alive and well, ready to take on the gift of another year," Twain writes. "When I wake up each day I remind myself how lucky I am to have all the beautiful things I do in my life and allow that gratitude to fuel me for the day, taking one day at a time. I try not to worry about tomorrow since I realize I can't control what it will bring or whether tomorrow will even come."

The star split from her husband, Robert "Mutt" Lange in May 2008 after he had an affair with her longtime best friend, Marie-Anne Thiebaud, who also managed the couple's chateau in Switzerland.

"I consider myself on a journey of discovery and recovery," she says of life post-split. "I don't accept to be held down by the past, nor do I expect too much of the future."

Who is accompanying Twain on that journey?

Thiebaud's ex-husband, Frederic Thiebaud, whom Twain calls "a dear friend and true gentleman."

He "has been the most constant companion of support for both [8-year-old son] Eja and me, and having gone through the suffering of his family splitting apart at the same time under the same extreme circumstances, he understood me better than anyone," she writes. "We leaned on one another through the ups and downs, taking turns holding each other up. We've become stronger and closer through it all."

Since both their families were torn apart by their spouses' affair, Twain and Thiebaud -- whom a friend "affectionately" refers to as Lucy and Ricky Ricardo -- have been spotted vacationing with her family in Canada, New York City and Florida.

"When I reflect on it all, it's clear how remarkably active my life has been since last December -- a time in the life of someone working hard to 'move on' and succeeding," she writes.

The video on her site, which includes clips of her skydiving and riding camels, also shows her adventures with Fred. (In one clip, he gives her a surprise picnic on a glaciar in the Swiss alps.)

She concludes, "Fred and I have certainly had a lot of laughs through the months."

I enjoyed the video. It is obvious that Fred makes Shania very very happy, and that they are very much in love. And for any Shania fan, her happiness should be wonderful to witness.

Since the video spotlighted Fred so much, and since the letter and video made no mention of new music at all, it really wouldn't surprise me if Shania announces a new marriage before she announces new music.

I don't think the recent wedding and/or engagement rumors are true. But I do think that maybe such an announcement will be in Shania and Fred's near future.

I'm so pleased to see that Shania is so happy, Fred certaintly seems to be making her happy, i can see she has a new lease of life, maybe mutt has held back from doing such wonderfull things.
I think we will so more of her now, maybe she will open up to her life more now that mutt is long gone.
Eja is soooo cute, was that a french or canadian accent he has there?
Maybe will see a wedding some time soon??.

Never know with 2nd marriages some people jump right in others can be kind of shy about doing it again so quick.I have to say she must like parachuting,in the photo we saw months ago she jumped with Fred in the video she was with another guy.Have to love it she has guts.

I don't think in those first photos it was Fred. I don't think he is licensed to do that. She only jumped the one time and it was with a professional. I looked at the photos pretty close last year when they came out and you could tell that it was not Fred she jumped with. Not sure why it was not Fred he may be a licensed jumper but she didn't jump with him.

Yes it would definitely be ironic........and is most likely the case. I really question if a super private man like MUTT would remain with her after she spoke to the press the way she did. It, to me, seemed very ignorant to speak the way she did.....she was very smug. I don't think he has kept her around as he has tried on more then one ocassion to distance himself from her publically.

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 29 (UPI) -- U.S. country music singer Shania Twain says she is doing well more than a year after her split from her husband, producer Robert "Mutt" Lange.

Twain assured her fans in a personal letter posted on her Web site that she was "alive and well" following her 2008 split from Lange, who was reportedly having an affair with Twain's best friend, Marie-Anne Thiebaud, People.com reported Friday.

"I feel very alive and well, ready to take on the gift of another year," Twain, 44, said.

Since her split from Lange, Twain has been seen out with Thiebaud's ex-husband, Frederic Thiebaud, prompting rumors of a possible relationship between the two.

Probably will be the way that it happens. I just don't know if Shania and Fred are long term as well. I can see them getting married, but I have a feeling that Shania is rushing all this a tad because of her broken heart. All the love talk and stuff.....she needs time before she feels that again.

The only thing is that I can't hear exactly what she was sayng after landing on glacier. She said: "It's ridiculous" and then I don't understand. Could anybody help me with this?

I agree. And even now, I'd say a baby isn't 100% out of the question. I don't think a new baby is very likely, and I don't expect it to happen, but nothing would really surprise me anymore.

Having a baby is a lot of hard work and unless Fred is prepared to be a stay-at-home dad, while Shania tries to focus on the music, this could only be a huge distraction.

There is no way of knowing if Mutt and Marie are still in a relationship, but the press never really did a follow up on that. They are more preoccupied with what Shania and Fred are up to. But I have to ask if the ex wife approves of Shania allowing her daughter Johanna to appear in photos and/or footage that is to be shown publicly. Obviously Fred has given his consent.

Anyway, the travelogue is great and her philosophy is no doubt shared by many of her loyal fans. Shania is not bothered about being a celebrity and the video reflects this by not always looking her best and she truly has seen some amazing sights. Shania seems really swept off her feet and there's nothing wrong with dreaming.

Hey there!

I have always been a Shania Twain fan. When I found out her husband had cheated on her with her very best friend I couldn't believe it. Who cheats on Shania Twain? Apparently, some guy named "Mutt" who is indeed a mutt! It happened almost a year ago and for her birthday this year Shania gave her fans a present. She let us know what she's been up to in the last year and most of all she said "I'm ok." Here's the link to the video on her website that describes her adventures over the past year.

As I watched this video, I thought of the milestones in my life and how you sometimes just feel like giving up. What is it that makes you keep going? I'm sure everyone has been through this emotion at one point or another. Yet, I think the message Shania is trying to convey works in any tough situation. No matter what happens in your life you will always have your hopes and dreams and the opportunity to achieve them. There is always tomorrow. Sometimes, we just need someone to give us a nudge and remind us that "this too shall pass." I have saved this video and I hope you do too... even if you aren't a fan. When you feel down the next time, watch it, and remember that we all go through tough times but it's how we move on and continue this journey some call life that teaches us how strong we really are!

Here's to getting up, dusting your knees off, and starting over!

Yeah, I guess that I would not be surprised either. Though I think that it would be bad idea on many levels: emotional and physical being the top two.

VERY WELL SAID!!!! I think it was wonderful for her to share her personal life with us, her fans. Not many other celebrities would do this!! I admit I was wrong- it wasn't a wedding video, but it sure looks like a Honeymoon video. They look like teenagers in love. I wish her the best.

Shania Twain tells fans she's moved on, after split

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Country singer Shania Twain is feeling like a woman again, returning to the spotlight with a new man by her side after her marriage broke up last year.

Twain, 44, separated from her husband of 14 years, record producer Robert John "Mutt" Lange, just over a year ago after he had an affair, ending a highly lucrative partnership in which Lange produced the Canadian star's three blockbuster albums.

But after largely disappearing from the public eye for a year, Twain is back, set to appear as a guest judge on television singing contest "American Idol" during auditions this week.

In a letter addressed to fans on her website, which is accompanied by a video, Twain said she spent the past year traveling, reading, sharing time with her son 8-year-old Eja, and "concentrating on moving on and forward."

"I hit a very big bump in the road," said Twain, whose marriage broke down after her husband was reported to be having an affair with longtime secretary and manager of the couple's Swiss chateau, Marie-Anne Thiebaud.

Twain said she has now made a point of surrounding herself with loving people whom she could trust, referring particularly to a man called "Fred" described as a constant companion who understood her pain as his own family had split up under "the same extreme circumstances."

Her companion is Frederic Thiebaud, the husband of Marie-Anne Thiebaud.

"We leaned on one another through the ups and downs, taking turns holding each other up. We've become stronger and closer through it all, as have our children Eja and Johanna (Fred's 8-year-old daughter)," said Twain.

"When I reflect on it all, it's clear how remarkably active my life has been since last December -- a time in the life of someone working hard to "move on" and succeeding."

Twain made no mention of when she would be out with some new music.

Just watched video. She looks so happy, like someone that has been let out of a miserable cave. The cave that Mutt kept her in. She looks human again. She has rejoined the human race. Music can't be far behind. I find her a great inspiration. Coming from heartbreak and finding healing to help 4 innocent people involved in a mess that they never asked for. I loved the video and am glad she was generous enough to share it with us.

In the video that Shania Twain posted on her website on Friday (Aug. 28), she's shown skydiving in Florida, skiing in Switzerland, galavanting around Egypt and Spain and God knows where else. The video travelogue and accompanying letter give fans an update on her very big "bump in the road" (not in the oven, by the way). And she explains her relationship with her dear friend Frederic Thiebaud. Surely this time off to recover from her divorce, travel the world and hang with a tall, dark and handsome guy will inspire some great songwriting, right? Even the little black and white titles on her video sound like the words of someone who has a way with words. Like when she says of her skydiving anxiety, "I needed to do something to take my breath away to remind me how to breathe." And the caveat that "it's all very candid footage so be ready to see a lot of me without makeup, no touch ups, some bad hair and looking pretty goofy" make Twain sound like she's definitely in her happy place. And I can't wait to hear the music she found there.

Actually everyone can save it. Computer saves it to Internet Temporary Files folder. You can find it there, copy it into some other folder and rename giving it *.flv format. But to make it easier, you can download it from here: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=SC4UV1T8

I have downloaded the Megaupload video link on to my desk top, but when I come to play it back through Windows Media Player, it says it doesn't recognize the file extention (rar). Can you possibly format it as an mpeg?
