Amid numerous contenders for country music singing the Teen Choice Awards presented the talented Taylor Swift (who beat Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Britney Spears) with the Choice Female Artist trophy.
Well don’t know how many of you remember pictures (which came up in the media) of her hot kissing scenes from the soon to be released movie “Valentine’s Day”, where she and Taylor Lautner geared up in short athletic attire, but this time the beauty was in public eye for her exceptional singing talent.
This talented American singer-songwriter started early, playing the 12 string guitar from a young age and since then has enthralled the audiences world over. The number of awards won by her till now is stunning.She was nominated 7 times and won thrice in The Academy of Country Music Awards. She was nominated for the best New Artist on Grammy in 2008. All country-music lovers can recall her brilliant creations, “Teardrops on my Guitar” (February 2007) and “Love Song”.
She draws her inspiration from the likes of Shania Twain. She has bagged the MTV Video Music Awards nomination 2009 with her “You Belong With me”. This year she is being noticed on CMT’s Music Awards with her work “Photograph w/Def Leppard” which nominates her for the Wide Open Country Video of the Year.
This was the 11th annual Teen Choice Awards,and the singer has won Teen Choice Awards: Breakout-Artist already in the previous year.This year’s Teen Choice Award ceremony had foot-tapping numbers from the Jonas Brothers with whom Taylor had collaborated for The-3D Concert Experience.The evening saw many other artists like Beyonce Knowles (Choice Music:R&B Artist), Paramore (Choice Music:Rock Group), Jason (Choice Music:Male Artist)and David Archuleta (Choice Music:Breakout Artist) at their best. Besides singing, Taylor Swift is devoted to several charitable funds and has even donated money to the American Red Cross.
