I don't think that Shania would have minded being a model (despite the fact that she is at least 8 inches too short to be a model!).
Despite her claims that she does not like the whole photo/modeling stuff, I beg to differ. She got into it a lot more than most female artists and she was never afraid to be considered for her body, looks and music. I think it was more "double-speak" from Shania.
I guess our concert experience(s) were very, very different! lol I was that close to her and she was NOWHERE near 5'5! She was barely 5'2. She is really short; which everyone always is surprised by when they meet her. But for sure she is not 5'5 or even 5'4 as she claims. She is a couple of inches shorter than that. She has a nice petite body. Her main stength in person is her beautiful face.
Stars never like to reveal their real heights, and I have always thought Shania was smaller than 5 '4. Out of curiousity, how tall would you say Fred is?
Judging by pics of her in flats when she is standing next to him, he is at least a foot taller than her. So if she is around 5'1/5'2 then he it least 6 ft. She likes the tall ones!

And I just wanted to add that in no way am I insulting Shania for being short. My little sis is only 4'9! Good bodies come in all sorts of heights and it all depends on what you wear. Shania avoids outfits that look amazing on tall girls; and that just shows that she knows her body. Like Toni Braxton once said, that she wears midriff tops to "look" tall; I suspect Shania does the same.
I just find people's taste amazingly different and range so much. To some people, the perfect "body" (as she was called) would be Elle Macpherson; the TOTAL! opposite of Shania and some would say Shania's was the perfect body!
I just think that it amazing how much taller Shania looks on screen! And this is why people are so amazed by how short she really is. I know that I was! I was expecting this powerhouse lady with a powerhouse body and instead she was sooooo tiny! lol It changes your perspective that is for sure.

Powerhouse lady? Powerhouse body? Have you even followed Shania the last 14 years? She always looked petite and gorgeous. She looked exactly the way I thought she looked when I saw her in concert. She was drop dead gorgeous in the face and a really nice and petite curvy body. I don't know anyone who thought she had this big powerhouse body lol!!!
And you are right about one thing. We all have different tastes. But I find it curious that it is the woman who pick on a womans looks more than a guy.

No, I have not followed Shania for the past 14 years. It has actually been 15 years.
I am glad that she looked "exactly the way I thought she looked". Some people are blessed; you are one of them. For others, she looked different. Thus, the many, many posts from fans who said, "Wow, she was tiny!" "She seems so much taller on t.v.!" "I was shocked at how short she was!" I guess we are not all not like you.
And yes, she was pretty. She had a nice body, but it made less of an impact in person because of how tiny she was.
Oh, so you do not know anyone who thought that she had a "big" (your word, not mine) powerhouse body. A powerhouse body does imply that I thought she was big. It implies that I thought she was curvier and taller and more of a presence; she was much more kid-like in person.
And regarding your last odd line; I am assuming you are "trying" to be insulting and imply that woman who critique other woman look like men. Try harder to be insulting next time; it just came across as funny and sophomoric.
Yeah, I do find it funny that you are obsessed about her looks and how tiny she looks and you are a woman. Powerhouse? many powerhouse bodies come in petite form Curvy? I don't know who you have been watching the last many years but Shania has always had a really curvy body on her petite frame. We all have different tastes but when I see a gorgeous woman like Shania then I say so. I find 90% of models ugly and skinny and really boy like figures. Even Tom Bradys' girlfriend has a boy like figure but she has an attractive face. I find that Shania has both, it doesn't matter how tall she is. the only kind of tall model that I find attractive is Cindy Crawford who has a great face and a nice body.
