Say It Ain't So Joe, Say It Ain't So! The 96th Grey Cup, hosted in Calgary this Sunday (Nov. 29), will feature Canadian performers Blue Rodeo as the halftime show. Blue Rodeo will join the growing list of past CFL championship halftime show performers such as Lenny Kravitz, Bryan Adams, Shania Twain, The Black Eyed Peas and many others much more worthy than Blue Rodeo. Montreal held a fantastic halftime show with rockers Three Days Grace last year.
Did the Grey Cup committee and the CFL get Lost Together? Maybe their absurd choice of halftime act Hasn't Hit Them Yet!
Having a lackluster halftime show act will only put the focus back on to football, which should be a really exciting battle between the 2007 Grey Cup Champion Saskatchewan Roughriders and the 2002 Grey Cup Champion Montreal Alouettes. Montreal has been to the Grey Cup six times in the last nine years and will enter this year's game as the favourites after beating Saskatchewan 43-10 and 34-25 in the regular season. Saskatchewan is hoping its Rider Pride will be strong in Calgary and that their nominee for CFL Outstanding Player of The Year, quarterback Darian Durrant, will lead the team to victory.
We're truly apologetic to our good friends in Montreal, but RockStar Weekly runs on green technology. Go Riders Go!
