It is personal home videos! I am sure it is a bit better Than her running with the torch like we already seen it on you tube that is not much of a surprise. As for American Idol I think it will be a bit better Than that as well because it is suppose to be about her home life. I will bet one thing that we might get to see Fred with her because if there a Item it is better to introduce him to us lol it is a guess. As for the blog I think new music will be announced because Shania Twain said lots of exciting things to report in the new Year lets hope it is new music and not a engagement to fred or a baby because it would not make me happy. Music Shania 2010 time to make that announcement. Plus tommorw is My Birthday God bless lol the surprise of my dreams id she says she is working on a new cd be a nice Gift

Plus Fred was pictured filming those native singers at the STC back in December. We might possibly get footage of them in Toronto when Shania hosted The Current. Whatever she writes about this time, I somehow doubt it's music-related, but of course, it would be a pleasant surprise.

I don't expect new music info from this new blog. I expect talk about her Olympic Torch run, with video to go with it. And maybe another travelogue.

As much as I would love to see a personal home video of Shania brushing her hair and putting on her makeup, I think she will share her personal take on some recently accomplishments, such as 'behind the scenes' of the Torch Run - an occasion she referred to as the HIGLIGHT of her life - we are SURE to see that - and maybe some AI stuff, but who knows - she might encounter some copyright/television rules crap there.

Just thrilled to hear from Shania soon! I love the video blogs!

Ok I got them both to work. One video on ShaniaTwain.com is her singing around a fireplace for a few minutes, the other video is footage from her Canada trip and Olympic torch run. The People.com video is just a partial video of the longer Canada video on her site.

Letter from Shania

Greetings everyone,

I'm writing you from the Caribbean where I'm warming up after a cold stretch in Canada during the holidays. The sunny weather gets me into writing mode. Many of the songs from The Woman In Me and Come On Over were written in the tropics so it's a good place for me to be creative.

I wanted to give you a peak at some of the footage Fred grabbed during my trip to Ontario over Christmas and New Years so I put together a montage of bits and pieces to share with you.

There were many highlights, but the key ones were sitting by the tree singing old songs with family, hanging around in comfy clothes and doing nothing but enjoying a relaxing evening by the fire. It was cold and snowy outside, warm and cozy inside.

My cousin Kenny and I kicked a few songs around as we tried to remember how they went. The jamming is pretty rough, but real, and thought you would appreciate the authenticity of it, even if it is poor, home quality.

The once-in-a-lifetime experience of carrying the Olympic torch along its journey to the final stop in Vancouver, BC for the winter Olympic Games was an energizing opportunity. I was worried about the length of the run as I didn't want to embarrass myself by arriving at the cauldron out of breath. It turned out we were ahead of schedule, and I was asked to take my time and even stop periodically so I didn't get to the cauldron too early. When Eja saw me after the run, he said, "Mom, it is called an Olympic torch run because you are supposed to RUN, not WALK!" The temperatures were pretty low so running the whole way would probably have, ironically, kept me warmer. In any case, it was an awesome 300 meters and I will cherish the honor forever.

Another highlight was hosting a national radio show called "The Current". The focus of the segment was on underprivileged children. I interviewed Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah of Jordan who shares an interest in helping underprivileged children through education on an international level. Her initiative is called "1Goal". She is doing amazing things in her effort to bring equality in education to all children of the world. I asked her to speak with us on "The Current" to discuss our mutual goals on live radio, in hopes of heightening the awareness to the general public.

I also interviewed Raffi, a world-famous children's songwriter who has created the Centre for Child Honouring on Salt Spring Island, B.C. On the flip side, I had a conversation with rapper Cadence Weapon, who had an interesting perspective on how rap music can affect children in a positive way and talked about his interaction with children through his poetic music.

In a joint effort with the Canadian Red Cross, we were also able to raise over $120,000 for a program they have created to help educate underprivileged families about the prevention of child neglect and abuse.

I was also able to interview two experts, Katreena Scott, a professor in the Department of Human Development and Applied Psychology at the University of Toronto, and Jeanette Lewis, Executive Director of the Ontario Association of Children's Aid Societies, who shared insight relating to their individual experience in their respective fields regarding underprivileged children. They gave engaging input on the various issues surrounding the matter.

Overall, my Christmas holiday trip was fulfilling, inspiring and enlightening in many respects - a wide variety of activity between family time, winter weather pleasures, local culture and sport, charity and music. I hope you enjoy the recap.

The funniest thing happened to me last Saturday in Toronto: I was shopping on Bloor, near Holt Renfrew, and I saw a guy in his 20's wearing a 'Glamour Campaign' hoodie with a crystal skull on the back - like the one Shania has.

I approached him and asked him where he bought his hoodie. He told me at Holt Renfrew. I told him I loved it and I knew Shania had one. THEN he said 'I saw Shania a couple of weeks ago in Toronto at a Red Cross reception at the Royal Bank Plaza Building' - I could hardly believe it, as I had heard NOTHING of it - but I believed him. He then said the funniest thing: he said that Shania looked like she had 'sat in dip' (for the foreigners, dip is like veggie or chip dip, usually made with mayonnaise, sour cream etc...) THAT was funny.

I did not bother mentioning it to Tommy, since I had no photos and no other evidence.

Ha! Now I see the video of her at RBC - I used to work in that building!

Cool! I love the video blogs - keep 'em coming, Shania!

Shania Twain Warms Up – and Gets Creative! – in the Caribbean

After enduring subzero temperatures for the once-in-a-lifetime chance to carry the Olympic torch in her native Canada, Shania Twain is warming up in the Caribbean – and it's doing wonders for her creative juices.

"The sunny weather gets me into writing mode," the country superstar, 44, tells fans in a letter posting on her Web site. "Many of the songs from The Woman In Me and Come On Over were written in the tropics so it's a good place for me to be creative.”

Twain takes fans further inside her private world, sharing a video montage shot over the holidays by boyfriend Frédéric Thiébaud.

The footage includes Twain making an early morning visit to a Canadian radio station to host a show on underprivileged children. Despite the serious topic, Twain is in good spirits as she picks at a complimentary fruit plate while laughing about junk-food cravings like donuts and popcorn, talking about "blotchy skin" and joking that she is, in fact, 34.

The footage also gives fans an audio introduction to Thiébaud, her constant companion of more than a year, whose French-inflected voice is heard bantering with her from off-camera.

Twain, whose marriage to Robert "Mutt" Lange fell apart in May 2008 over his relationship with her then-friend and employee Marie-Anne Thiébaud, took to her site last summer to write about her romance with boyfriend Frédéric, who is Thiébaud's ex-husband.

I have to agree with Chris I was a bit surprised when I seen the videos. It was not shock tho seeing Shania writing about her Journey to Canada to do the torch and charity. I am also not happy because she is always telling us I will be in touch with more news soon which seems to be every time we wait we get nothing interesting to wait. I think one thing is for sure there will be no new Album this year because she said she is basically writing music still and with her still not in the studio we can give up because I have I still am a fan but no hope for her no more.

As far as I am concerned, Shania leads a HEALTH, balanced life: she is very successful and wealthy - she endured a very tough childhood, the tragedy of losing both parents and having to raise a family at the age of 22 - Shania deserves a 'break' now that she can enjoy the fruits of her labour.

Shania gives back to charity at every opportunity, is raising a child, sees her family - and travels the world.

Good for her. Period.

If you look through all my posts you'll see I've been a Shania cheerleader.

My life is not tied to her. But my love of music pretty much is. She is the only singer in my 55 years, other than Gordon Lightfoot (another Canadian..go figure) that I can listen to forever. I never get tired of her voice.

I'm ok now. Thanks for the course correction.

I have hundreds of other artists I listen to on a regular and frequent basis other than Shania Twain, and I enjoy them as much or more than Shania.

These artists go back to the 1940s ( I have a little more than a decade of age on you )

I never get tired of Shania's voice or those of many of my favorites also.

I find it hard to believe you have only two really favorite artists at your age !

When I come to this website, there are a some people who trash Shania, or saying Shania will never release any new music (maybe this is not the site for some of you). By watching the first video, and that she's in the Caribbean working on her music. It seems to me that she will be coming back to the music scene. She did say in her blog that some of her songs from her albums, The Woman in Me and Come on Over, came from Caribbean. We all know how big those albums are and maybe she wants to do the same thing with her next record expect a little more personal. I know its been a very long time, but she wants the record to be perfect. Isn't that what you all want? Is that such a awful thing?

I've uploaded a picture of me from 1995 on Maui. I have less hair now. I was born in Aug. of 54.

I have little choice about liking other music. I have a 15 year old daughter!

But Shania is the one I have the passion towards. Musically, that is.

As for Kevy, he'll be back under another name, I'm sure.

Nobody in history will have had more pressure on them to come up with a hit album. Married to him or NOT - you can't have MUTT LANGE as your producer and suddenly NOT have him - he is the BEST at what he does - making MEGA hits. Shania is in the Caribbean now to relax, warm up - and she mentions writing songs...so maybe eventually, we'll get to hear some music - but the pressure must be ON for her - the music industry has gone down THE TOILET in the last 7 years - people do not buy CD's anymore - they download illegally for free - especially the 'pop' stuff played on the radio constantly - why buy it? So, no matter what Shania releases, she will be lucky if she sells even 3 million records. I'll buy them, and so will many of her fans - but she can not expect record sales of yesteryear.

I happily look forward to music from Shania - but I am patient. Have fun in Mustique!

From the looks of the new video maybe Shania is thinking of doing some cover songs. I personally would love to hear more of her covering Elvis...the two of them together would be awesome...she can sing anything just like Elvis and it would be awesome.

I never understood why fans expect news of music from her blogs and video diaries. What else can a video diary be other than showing what she has been up to? Thats what diaries are, and I think its very nice of her to share such private moments with her fans. I looked on different message boards and see even some of her true fans are disappointed with her, I find that sad. Is all they care about her giving them what they want and nothing more? Be happy for her, be happy that she has found happiness after her life turned upside down. Not only did she lose her long marriage but also the same man who made her music for her. She said she would be back with music after her last tour, but cant ppl see circumstances have changed? She will do that, but she was stopped in her tracks by the breakdown in her relationship. Her priority is her family, herself and to find happiness, and I see it here in these videos. For the first time in a long time, I see her playing guitar and singing, and sharing that with all her fans worldwide. Dont jump on her back for this, she is taking steps to whatever she does next, but first finding her feet. She could travel and do this for the rest of her life and be happy, and I would not blame her. If she decides to put her head down and work in a studio, and being Shania, that will be hard careful work and a long process, she will be doing that for US when she could easy continue enjoy what she is doing in these recent blogs instead.

First of all I have never hid my name on this site and never would. Everyone knows my point of view and I have only gone by Kevy on this board.
I am not a coward and I stand by my opinions and will not pretend to be someone else like many here would. I will always appear as Kevy on this site if I make posts again.
And I never got banned because I didn't say anything wrong. I said my opinion on how Shania is playing games and laughing at you all. Why the heck else would she say in January she has some exciting news to tell us in the near year lol!!! Was this the exciting news for us, stuff that went on a month ago that has nothing to do with the fans.

But you won't have to worry about that because yes I will not be posting here anymore out of my choice and out the fact I don't want to waste even 2 more minutes out of the day talking about Shania Twain.
You all know my views over the past months and that will never change. What is changing is the fact you all could talk about how pretty her hair without me posting back.
Tommy has a good site for information but too many people here that I won't mention are really delusional about Shania's motive towards you. I have been right all along that she will string you along for years to come.
So I don't see any need to talk about me anymore when I leave. Just talk about Shania freely amoung yourselves.
I ask you all now if you really don't want me back and don't want me around to not talk about me after my final post. Those who want me back will talk about me and respond.
