I don't understand why she keeps posting about Vegas. Can't she just go in the studio and make a single or duet, or find a producer at least, and announce it? She hasn't even changed the show.

Hi,

Don't forget that she went to the Bahamas to record with Lionel Ritchie so there is a recording studio in the Bahamas. If she has a producer she may just be tweeting and facebooking in between working on new material. That's what I am hoping anyway.

Try to be optimistic where this area is concerned because as a Shania fan we all know that she is on her own timetable and nothing can influence that so we as usual we have to be patient and wait.

We know she's been writing, and we know she's looking for a producer. We just don't know how intensive her search is. But she's working on stuff, at her own speed.
She keeps going on about Vegas, because she's excited and proud of the show.

People don't 'just' go into a studio to record an album. People who make songs on command are usually not the artist that make really good music. Some people can make an album a year and still be good, some need more time. Shania is one of the latter. Accept it, that's all you can do.
She has the right to decide for herself what she wants to do, what she wants to talk about and where she wants to be at this point in her life. That's pretty much home with the family and on stage in Vegas. And there is not that much room for many other things now, and we should respect that.

At least, that's my opinion. I hate it when people nag about things that should be done, while it's not the right time to do those things yet.

Seriously, are there still fans complaining? Shania has had a great career and made enough money to walk away from it all, and never return, never play another show, never record another song, never attend another event. Family is most important in my book, and it seems to be that way for her too. She has earned the luxury of not having to work. If I was an entertainer and had a family, I would walk away to attend to my family. Fans would be the last thing on my mind. I do not understand why there has to be a group of so called "fans" that weigh her down. As I have seen others post here before, this is not Shania bandwagoners.

Honestly if Shania were a guy, nobody would care if she walked away. They would let her live the life she wants to live without complaining. There is a double standard for women in the music industry, especially country music. They do not owe their fans anymore than they have already given. Shania has given much more time and effort than a lot of other performers and achieved goals not many have. And, there are people who bash the time she has given us and feel they have the right to demand she give us more. Who wants her to record an album under pressure. Sure, some may say she has had time and their should be no pressure. But, going into the music industry without her musical partner (Mutt) for the first time since 1994. It should not be an easy transition. David Foster was not much help in her way of creativity since he seemed to only be open to his ideas for 'Today.' The fans that complain that she has not put out new music act as if their life depends on her career. She may be influential and an inspiration to many, as she is for me, but, you have to draw the line somewhere. With or without new music you life will go on. She is a human being, like the rest of us.

well said eileen333 and codyandshania couldn't have said it better my self. Just be glad Shania is enjoying life and not over worked like she use to be you only live once so why not enjoy the days you do have.

If you were a true Twainaic like my self you would just have her back and understand. I am for sure proud of her she has come such along way a successful show in Vegas two sold out shows in calagry and one in PEI like come on how can you not be proud of that . ?. and thats just shows that she is still the one .

Butter's really just because you don't t adore look up to Shania and love her doesn't give you a right to be nasty towards her and her adoring fans. She may mean nothing to you but she is everything and spacial to a lot of people like myself and many others. She has changed so many peoples lives including mine and many others. You don't' even care about her why are even a fan? I mean all you care about is cd cd, work work, and not even enjoying life. All you want her is to sit in a cold room and not see light. Thank YOU for the laught Butters! As if she owes us anything. She's given us enough of herself, her private time and all in the past. It's our choice to support her, be a fan, whatever you want to call it. No one forced us to.

It is hard to understand if you haven't been in a situation like that yourself. But I can only appreciate and respect every single second Shania invests in her family. Her music is her job, and family should be the most important thing in everyone's life. We (the fans) are not her family. To her we are just 'strangers'.

Be honest, if your boss calls you on a Saturday night, when you're having some quality family time, to ask you if you want to come to work to start some new project. You don't have to so this project, because you don't need the money and you won't get fired if you don't do it, would you do it? I sure would not.

Butters, I do not worship her, I appreciate her musically and the fact that she is generous to give time to her fans is something many artists do not do. She shows us she is a person and easily relatable. I was not saying "Poor Shania" or pittying her for the time, I was simply saying she has the liberty to make the choices to take those breaks. I may be frustrated that at times there is no new music, but, you come to accept it and in turn are okay with it. You in fact, are the one that makes it seem like you can't live another day without new music. You do not know how other people are connected to her music. We are simply asking to not judge the way fans think about her. I could go into more details but it's not worth wasting my time over.

You obviously don't get my point....

I don't worship her, she's not my God... Please read my post again. All I say is that she has the right to make her own decisions, and I think we should all respect that.

'Forcing' her to make an album will result in a crappy album, because the passion for music won't be there.

Plus, nagging won't help, so why bother complaining?

I agree with Codyandshania and eilleen333. Ya I adore Shania and idolize her and she is very special to me but I don't worship over her. You just have to understand Butters everyone has their stories as to why they adore Shania so much even if your don't. Besides you should be thankful that Shania is doing what she is doing instead of being crazy like most celebs.

Like would you rather have no new music or see her in prison or rehab for the rest of her life?

I only know of the pets Shania posts pictures of. Her 2 dogs (Jett & Melody), cat (Skipper) and horse (Tango).

Hi,

Wasn't there also a German Shepherd named Sony in that video also. She probably has pets at all her homes. She seems to love animals. Seems like that would be hard on the pets with them only being with them a couple of weeks here and there. I have a little house dog and it was pretty loyal to me but when my mom retired and was at home with her all the time she is more loyal to her than me now so I imagine that whoever takes care of the animals that she's not with all the time are probably more connected to their caregivers. Just my thoughts.

I agree with you. Animals don't care who's their owner, but they connect more to certain people than the do to other people. Plus I couldn't leave my animals behind for such a long period of time ;)
Usually they stick to the person who is the most stable factor in their lives. Horses need a stable person to keep them safe and secure. For my horse, I am that stable factor. Learning how to lead her, and I am the one who always comes for her to take her out for rides, groom her... So she's more eager to work for me. She can be convinced to work for someone else now, after a few years of hard work. But she used to refuse to move a muscle. Poor thing....

When I went to Vegas in December 2012 for the shows, we arrived on Monday. The show would be on the next Saturday. We are at Mcdonald's, having breakfast. I got a text from my sister: "Took your horse out for a ride today, and she behaved very well" (my horse has some issues under the saddle with other people, she's been abused in the past, so it took a lot of TLC to gain her trust).
Anyways, I read the text... And I wanted to go home straight away, haha! Traveled over 5000 miles for the Shania show, didn't see the show yet, and wanted to go home to my horse.... Really... I have issues...

I am going back to Vegas this summer. I'll be away from home for two weeks, and I am already a bit worried. I'll have great time in I Vegas, but I'll have to convince myself every morning that the day is gonna be fun, eventhough my horse won't be there. I have major issues with leaving her behind. My sister looks after her, and my sister does a great job, but still. I miss her so much when I'm away from home.

But animals are very complex. Our first dog adored my father. Don't know where she got that idea from, because he was not nice to her. He never fed her, never walked her, just scared the crap out of her when she did something wrong. I always stood up for her ofcourse. But for some silly reason she still adored him. Maybe out of fear?

At least she has been more active on her twitter and facebook accounts....however the last three pics have been of her dog, pigs on the beach, and the last all we saw of her was a finger and some hair poking out of the backside of a beach lounge chair. Maybe she hates getting pics of her when she has no makeup on....? I will do a raindance and a vegan bananna sacrifice hoping for a new photo that is within 300 yards and shows her face.
