Canada AM is early, usually 6am EST to 9am, my guess is she would be on btwn 7am and 8:30am; their 'prime time'

If someone tells me HOW to tape from my TV to the computer, I'll do it.

Shania Twain launches her new book in Canada

Shania Twain has entered the building! Well, not quite, but she’s in the country.

The woman who once sang, “Come on over, come on in,” has changed her tune in recent years. After the 2008 discovery that her husband, Robert “Mutt” Lange, was cheating on her with his secretary, and her “confidante”, Marie-Anne Thiebaud, Twain vanished from the public eye only recently returning with a new show, a new book, and a voice all her own.

Speaking to Oprah last Tuesday, Twain, 45, revealed that the horrors of her childhood (which included watching her stepfather repeatedly abuse her mother, their death - in a car accident - which left her an orphan at 22, and her crippling fear of being in the spotlight) combined with the affair, left her voice slowly, ‘closing up.’

The Timmins, Ontario native spent her first summer after her split from Lange (whom she’d built a life with in Switzerland with their son, Eja) at her cottage in Canada.

She recently returned home for her induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame at last month’s Juno awards in Toronto.

Acknowledging her small-town upbringing and humble beginnings, a teary eyed Twain expressed her love of Canada saying, “I love our lakes, I love our bush, and most of all, I love the people.”

Twain will be signing copies of her new book, From This Moment On, tonight in Toronto at Indigo’s Manulife Centre location from 7 p.m. You can find out about her next public appearance by clicking here.

Toronto Twain fans gush over Timmins superstar

Wearing a black Shania Twain T-shirt, a black fanny pack and a massive grin, Debbie Brown tries to put her love for the Timmins-born pop star into words.

“I live, breathe and sleep Shania,” said Brown, clutching a copy of Twain’s new book From This Moment On. “I love her songs. I love her strength. She makes me proud to be Canadian.”

Twain, whose songs include “That Don’t Impress Me Much” and “Any Man of Mine,” was in Toronto on Monday evening signing copies of her revealing new memoir at the Indigo bookstore on Bloor St. W.

The wildly successful singer has shied away from the public since she split with her husband, Robert “Mutt” Lange, in 2008. She said the break left her unable to sing in front of an audience.

Brown, 55, wanted to ensure she’d be the first fan to meet the country-pop star in Toronto.

She lined up at 11 a.m. on Sunday, 32 hours before Twain was set to appear. A sleeping bag kept her warm and a 24-hour Tim Hortons located across the street kept her belly full.

Although the line had grown to include at least 200 people by 5 p.m., Brown stood proudly at the very front, joking with the security guards and her friend of 30 years, Nancy Duncan.

“I just want to thank (Twain) for being such an inspiration,” said Brown, who lives in Burlington and has seen Twain in concert three times. “I’m one of her greatest fans.”

Behind Brown and Duncan were Kayla Wilging, 17, and Maggie Lariviere, 16, friends who came to Toronto from St. Jacobs and Elmira respectively.

“I just cried reading the beginning of the book,” Wilging said. “Her music just lifts me up.”

Wilging’s parents slept in a hotel while she and Lariviere spent the night on the street.

An Indigo employee brought them breakfast as a reward for being the first few fans in line. They even braved a TV interview early Monday morning despite not having applied any makeup or slept more than three hours.

The pair wrote a letter to Twain they planned to give the singer during the book signing. The teens included their names and phone numbers, just in case Twain wanted to stay in touch.

“I don’t even know if I’ll be able to say anything to her,” Wilging said. “I’m just going to be so star-struck.”

Twain’s memoir reveals personal details about her poverty-ridden childhood in Timmins, including that she was abused by her stepfather.

Twain, 45, discussed the book in a TV interview last week with Oprah Winfrey, and explained how she rebuilt her career after her marriage crumbled.

An avid collector of newspaper clippings about Twain, Toros Djerdjeian came to the book signing with a gift for the singer.

“I’m going to give her a flag,” said Djerdjeian, decked out in a cowboy hat with a Canadian flag on the front. “She’s a real Canadian icon. I’m so glad to meet her.”

Twain’s music blared from speakers as she signed books.

Wearing a white button-down shirt, she smiled at her fans, who were whisked to the side and guided toward the exit after getting their books signed.

Curious onlookers leaned over railings inside the store trying to get a look, and maybe a photo, of the star.

“She said, ‘thank you’ and ‘nice to meet you too,’ ” said Sandy Prazmowzki, who came to Toronto from Orono, Ont., to see Twain.

Prazmowzki saw Twain in concert in 1999, where the singer invited her and her niece down from the nosebleed section to better seats near the stage.

“She always does that,” Prazmowzki said. “So I gave her a thank you card.”

05.23.2011– NASHVILLE - Country Music superstar Shania Twain makes her first appearance at CMA Music Festival in 15 years to sign copies of her New York Times best-seller, From This Moment On, at the Bridgestone Arena, Friday, June 10 (2:00-4:00 PM/CT).

"I'm so thrilled to be part of the Festival," said Twain. "It is a huge reunion each year for fans and artists and I'm looking forward to seeing some of the artists I haven't seen in awhile and connecting with the fans who have been so supportive through the years."

Twain will have lots of company. During a recent appearance on the "Oprah Winfrey Show," Twain surprised the entire studio audience with two-day passes to the 2011 CMA Music Festival and accommodations at the Gaylord Opryland Resort (June 9-10).
