What doesn't make sense to me is, why didn't Shania release songs like "Thank You Baby! (For Makin' Some Day Come Soon), "(Wanna Get To Know You) That Good!", and "What A Way To Wanna Be" as singles?? It doesn't make sense! She could have had them as really good singles and possibly making them top 10 in my opionion!

Hi Logan I think She released gotcha-ones singles for the US and like Tanya mentioned there are other singles that were released in other parts of the world like "Thank you baby" in Britain. Sometimes or that yes or that no, an artist would want to keep some jewels for the fans inside the album to be discovered. I absolutely ADORE "Wanna get to know you", "I'm jealous" (etc..,) these two are very unique, fantastic pieces of art maybe Shania sing any of those in LV though they are not easy to be sung I can confirm that Ha. Was "I ain't going down" released as a single?

What are the songs you less listening too from Up? For me that is "Cest la vi", "I'm not in the mood", "What A Way To Wanna Be" , In long time I didn't hear this one, "She's not just a pretty face" jumps to my mind from time to time so it doesn't count LOL.
Well I knew of "Thank You Baby!" was released as an international single, but I think it could have been a better pick than some singles released in the US. My song I probably listen to the most is "I'm Gonna Getcha Good!", "It Only Hurts When I'm Breathing", "What A Way To Wanna Be" and "Thank You Baby!" Those songs are my 4 favorite haha! I just wish she would hurry and make her new music haha! I hope it uses the same sounds as Up! because up sounds for of today's music you know? I mean it doesn't even sound like it was made 10 years ago!

"I Ain't Goin Down" should have been a country single. It would have been a # 1 smash! It has all of the elements that country radio listeners are drawn to. She also would have had great success with "In my Car" on Country radio and "What a Way to Wanna Be" on Pop. Her team made very poor choices at that time. "She's Not Just a pretty Face" and "Up" were bad choices!!!! Just Sayin....

Logan I thought about that as well! Also on the WIM Album there half songs sound actual and the same goes for COO and Up it's the Shania magic.., we need some new music though Bring it on!
Why did "When You Kiss Me" fail to chart pretty much at all on the country charts? It only peaked at number 60!!! Was it mean't to even be a single???
It maybe didn't do well on the country charts (Go and figure) the country songs of today don't come even close! It did well in Europe and also in Israel I was listening to this song over and over again instead of getting ready to my exams Oh I missed those days.
Agreed there were better choices than these two, singles like IAGD, or my fav "Wanna get to know you" though for the time it was Ok comparing to the garbage you had on the radio. Juanita would have been interesting choice for a single but than media-haters would say: What drugs did she take... with the next Album I wish Shania'd dare more I know she will there is no Mutt this time she has what it takes to win!

I think ever song on Up! would have being a smash, it's a brilliant album. I Ain't Goin Down would be a huge smash. But I read a while ago that I'm Not In The Mood was almost released a single in the UK alongside WYKM instead of Up. Would have been a good choice.
