If Shania still plans on touring in Europe next Spring/Summer, we'll probably hear something late next year. So it all depends on the tour...

Well, this time I've got a Good feeling about it.
Maybe this year will be the year after all... Tommy, when should the album be announced if it'll be released this year? May? June?

If the album is going to be released by the end of the year, I'd say the announcement could be as late as August or September. The lead single is usually released 6-8 weeks before the album is released.

100% either July or Early August a single will be released and it is also possible a single might come out in June. I have a feeling she's gearing up to make the announcement way before August.

Shania will HAVE TO do a media tour (talk shows, etc) to promote the album. It'll be 14 years since Up! was released and the general public has forgotten about her. If she doesn't promote the new album it will tank for sure.

No, actually she said she hoped to release at least the first single before her 51st birthday. I guess she still has time to do so...

I checked the news section of Tommy's website and Up! was announced around Eja's birthday back in 2002. So there's still time to have the album this year.

I don't see any hints in her comment. It is as she has always said or written things like that. Nothing new here. I think we should stop seeing hints in her words because even if she says something in particular like "I want to release new album before I turn 51" it doesn't mean she eventually will.

As I understand, she is recording a demo. According to their price list on their website, they offer demo recordings. Or am I wrong?

um no that doesn't mean she is recording a demo. Yes the studio offers demo recording but it also records albums from start to finish if you are looking to record an entire album. We have no clue why she is there but we do know she has been recording songs already so why would she make a demo of songs when she is already past that stage we assume. Maybe she is just looking to finish up and record her final songs there. We are just guessing why she is there. I personally am done guessing what she is doing or plans to do because what she says and what she does is not usually the same thing. So lets all wait and see. Enjoy the summer people and be productive in life and our own lives and help people out when you can. Shania will do what she will do lol Chow for now

Correct. The studio also records entire albums which is why Shania is most likely there. She is probably finally ready to or in the process of finishing/finalizing her album.

I was just looking through my shaniasupersite.com website's log of visitors today and between 3:00-4:00 this afternoon there were several hits from Nassau, Bahamas! I wonder who that could be? And now all the recording studio pictures have been deleted from Twitter and Instragram. Coincidence? I don't think so. biggrin

I'm totally confused and have no idea on what stage of work she is. Recently she recorded something in the studio and now it seems like she's only writing songs.

her words barely make any sense anymore its like she is playing with peoples minds, maybe she is recording 1 song writing, recording and etc and maybe she is having voice issues but she should flat out tell everyone the truth not keep saying the album is coming, soon every 6 months

Well, if she is still writing one thing is sure: no album soon and I'm pretty sure no new song by the end of August.
More than 1 year to record an album is almost a world record.

But she is still working on songs. Which means she still needs to record them. How many more? Who knows, but it will still take time.

ETA - after googling I guess UMG owns both Mercury and Captiol but it would be strange for her to switch imprints.

Shania Twain has recorded new music with Jake Gosling and Chris Leonard.

The songwriting and production duo are known for their works with Ed Sheeran (“Lego House”), James Bay (“Incomplete”), Hilary Duff (“Tattoo”), Jake Isaac (“Where We Belong”) and Nina Nesbitt (“18 Candles”).

Fans of Gosling’s and Leonard’s work should also keep an eye on the next projects by Shawn Mendes [Island Records], Ella Henderson [Syco Music] and LeAnn Rimes [RCA Label Group UK].

Twain, on the other hand, is expected to release her fifth studio collection later this year through Capitol Records Nashville.

The still-untitled project serves as the follow-up to 2002’s “Up!,” which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned singles including “I’m Gonna Getcha Good” and “Forever and for Always.”
