Shanias last two Albums had singles released in September. I do believe a album this year. Who knows we all might get a single either before her birthday,on it or maybe just after. I am not as upset like I have been as of late. I really do believe a album will come out this year and November sounds about right. Now I might be wrong but just a guess lol
According to Las Vegas entertainment reporter, Robin Leach, Shania has "begun" recording her new album in Nashville. Oh geez, let's hope she hasn't really just begun.
Is another Strip show about to close? Plus, Drake’s love for Shania Twain
By Robin Leach | Las Vegas Review-Journal | August 16, 2016
We have Wicked Whispers + Racy Rumors this torrid Tuesday:
Say it ain’t so! Unconfirmed gossip! Another Strip show that has been open only a few weeks is in danger of being shuttered by its producers, according to insiders. They’re blaming low ticket sales despite great reviews and reaction from critics and early theatergoers.
The producers shut another show recently blaming the same sluggish summer ticket sales for their decision, but they haven’t given up hope and are already looking for a new production to bring to center Strip.
Former Caesars Palace headliner Shania Twain has begun recording her new album in Nashville and on a break from the recording studio turned up at fellow Canadian singer Drake’s show. He singled her out from the audience, professed his love for her, sang one song to her and had her pose for a huggable photo for his Woman Crush Wednesday blog posting!
Hmmm, I don't think this is true, even if Robin Leach is quite informed about these things.
We know for sure she's already recorded something back in June in Nashville and there are lots of pics of her in the studio. And what about that Jake Gosling's pic on Instagram "Been a pleasure working with @shaniatwain on her new album I can't wait for you to hear" ?
From all the tweets and pics posted during these months, we can assume she's got two producers on this album: Jake Gosling and Chris Leonard. Maybe she's done with Jake and now she's recording the songs written with Chris.
Let's only hope there aren't lots of songs written with him
***Shania is still in Nashville. She and fellow County music artist, Wynonna Judd, attended the Dixie Chicks concert on Wednesday night (Aug. 17) in Nashville at Bridgestone Arena.

I think nothing will happen. Remember, some years ago when she was about to release her travelogue montage they opened countdown on her website? I would expect something like that or even bigger as her new single/album are much more anticipated. I think she's not ready to release them yet.

You're right. Plus, her website still has the Las Vegas layout and design. The site will have to be updated and redesigned for the new music announcement/release.

I will be hated but as a fan I am rather disappointed. If she doesn't release a single before her 51 birthday she should be ashamed of herself. She promised a single before she turned 51 and it does not seem likely. I hate these promises. Always will be a fan but starting to wonder if we will even get a single this year let alone an album.
Here is the USA Today article from last year (June 2015) where Shania talks about the new album and says there has to be a single release while she is 50.
Shania: 'Enough songs for two albums'
Brian Mansfield | USA TODAY | June 4, 2015
Shania Twain planned to have a new album ready when she finished her Las Vegas residency in December.
But things didn't work out the way she planned.
"Vegas was a giant undertaking," says the singer. "That's slowed the album process down."
If Twain couldn't get it done during two years in Vegas, does she have a chance of finishing it during her three-and-a-half-month Rock This Country Tour, which kicks off Friday in Seattle?
"It won't be any easier," she says, "and it will be frustrating for me."
Fortunately, she says, the songs are written: "I've got enough songs for two albums at this point, because I've been at it for two years."
She also has a good start on the tracking. "We've already tackled, I'd say, half the album, as far as a first draft on production.
"It's like building a house. The planning stages take the longest. Once the hammers and nail start going, it rolls along a lot faster."
While Twain's producers, whose names she has yet to reveal, work on the music, the singer plans to record her vocals as she travels. "My voice will be in good shape, because I'll be singing every day," she says. "That will lend itself to this end of the record."
Twain hasn't released a studio album since 2002's Up!, which shipped 11 million copies, according to the Recording Industry Association of America. It was her third album to sell at least that many; Come On Over, released in 1997, has sold 20 million copies, making it the top-selling album ever by a female country singer.
Those albums, along with 1993's The Woman in Me, made Twain a superstar with a combination of big-beat country-rock songs and sweet ballads. Twain and Robert "Mutt" Lange, her husband and producer at the time, reshaped the sound of country music during that era, creating tightly structured tracks that piled on musical hook after hook and pulled in country and pop fans alike.
"Mutt was extremely talented at that because he was going from one genre to another well before I came into the picture, going from AC/DC to Billy Ocean," Twain says. "There were so many night-and-day things he did. Even within our stuff, he was able to make that departure. Now this new record will be a completely different departure again."
Twain's quick to emphasize that her fans shouldn't expect her new music to simply sound like an update of Any Man of Mine or Honey, I'm Home.
"It's so entirely different," she says. "It's better for me to say it right now. That songwriting is just so different."
Twain has written the entire album herself, where she and Lange collaborated on her previous hits.
"Co-writing is a whole other ballgame," she says. "I'm a tennis player, and the singles game is completely different from the doubles game. It's a different approach, a different strategy, different everything.
"Mutt was an amazing songwriting teacher. He never interfered with my writing style and the way I approached songs. I learned a lot from him, and I think I was a great student. I would bring in a whole bunch of stuff to him, then we would sit together and hash through stuff.
"That's the part I'm not doing now. I'm not bouncing anything off anybody else and waiting for direction or a reaction."
Twain doesn't believe her new music has taken such a dramatic turns that fans won't recognize it. "It will still be my voice," she says. "I think my writing style will still be very clear. A lot of time has passed. I guess a departure would even be expected, it has been so many years."
At one point, Twain indicated she would release the new album soon after she turned 50, which happens Aug. 28. She hedges on that deadline now, saying she doesn't want to rush the process of her producers.
"They've got me in their ear; I'm giving my direction already," she says. "But I want that direction to be creative, as opposed to my being the time master.
"There has to be a single release while I'm 50. So I've given them that extra space. The album will just follow as it follows."
Whatever the case, she has had more than enough time to finish the album, let alone release a single. After her RTC tour last year she said she already had 6 songs finished. That was 10 months ago. I don't know why she has been dragging her feet. There's no reason why we shouldn't have new music by now. At least a single.

Shania Twain Still Working On The Album She Announced 14 Years Ago, Drake Admits Shania Is His ‘WCW’
By Stacey Cole | The Inquisitr | August 23, 2016
Shania Twain is still working on the album she announced 14 years ago, according to the Taste of Country. The 50-year-old country singer may have announced her upcoming album in the early 2000s, but it doesn’t mean she gave up working on it.
It’s been a year since Shania Twain retired from the road, but the country singer, who turns 51-years-old on August 28, still has enough inspiration and past experiences from her days on the road to work on the new album.
Earlier this month, Shania Twain took to Twitter to share a snap of herself working in the recording studio. On the photo captioned "On a roll...", the “You’re Still The One” singer is seen sitting at a piano with a guitar in her hands and a recording microphone by her side.
Although Shania Twain promised a new country album back in 2002, when her last album Up! was released, there has been no indication when that album would be released. But now her fans at least know one thing for certain: the country singer is still working on that highly-anticipated album.
In her interview with USA Today, Shania Twain promised that in her new album her fans won’t recognize the Shania Twain they once knew.
“It’s so entirely different. It’s better for me to say it right now. That songwriting is just so different.”
Shania Twain also revealed that she has been working hard on her songwriting skills and that living in Las Vegas for several years has helped her develop an entirely new approach to music.
“The success here in Las Vegas has given me a confidence that I have not had in years, even in past tours.”
Shania Twain added that thanks to her residence in Las Vegas she has built up lots of courage and confidence. The country singer also assured that she is ready for “more things” now. Twain also admitted that the music industry has changed a lot since her last album, Up! was released in 2002.
But Shania Twain is fully prepared to “really dive” in there and show her songwriting skills after so long. The country singer also added that she is “brave enough” to sit and wait for the feedback from her fans.
In other news, Drake has just revealed his crush from back when he was a teenager, according to ET Online. The 29-year-old “One Dance” rapper said at his recent Nashville, Tennessee, concert that he grew up a fan of Shania Twain.
Shania Twain was in the crowd watching Drake perform earlier this month, and she even agreed to take a snap with her fellow Canadian before his performance. The 50-year-old country singer was wearing a red cap, a gray tank top, and a white shirt over it.
The fact that the “Hotline Bling” rapper is a fan of Shania Twain’s music comes as a surprise since Twain is a country singer. In the caption to their photo, Drake said Twain was his “WCW” (Woman Crush Wednesday).
During the performance, Drake even mentioned that Shania Twain was present at the gig, and performed his “love set” to the 50-year-old “Any Man of Mine” singer.
“I just want to say that Shania Twain came to my show tonight, you know what I’m saying Nashville? So this next set, right here, I’m doing this for Shania. This is my love set for Shania.”
Shania Twain wasn’t the only famous person who attended Drake’s concerts last weekend, as NBA superstar LeBron James joined the rapper onstage to perform his hit single, “Pop Style.”
Shania Twain is currently married to Frederic Thiebaud, and has one son, Eja Lange, from her marriage with Robert John Lange.
Wow !! it is has been over ten years since we all kept believing that each next year would be the year Shania releases an album finally lol Yes we were all niave lol I gave up on believing a few years ago and decided not wasting anymore energy on Shania. I come back to check from time time to see what is new . But nothing has changed, everyone is still waiting for an album lol What was her latest promise or fake hint to fans.? That she will have music out before she turns 51? lol I don't judge Shania anymore because it is her life and she can do what she wants on her own time, she has the money. But really have lost so much respect for her as any kind of real artist. Once again, she doesn't care what i think and nor should she. I understand that Shania first made a connection with some fans back many years ago when her music got them through some tough times. Those people will never see any wrong in Shania and that is okay. I actually got into her music in 1993 because she was from Canada and she had catchy songs and went against the Nashville grain. Mutt and her were a great team but that is the past. I wish her luck on whatever music she is working on and and hope her fans enjoy it whenever she releases it. I think all the fans know now never take Shania for her word. She will say things she thinks her fans want to hear. Can't believe time has gone by so quickly lol i think it was 10 years ago when i first started complaining on this site about Shania lol I wasted too much energy for sure lol Oh well at least i still look the same and am in the best shape of my life lol Now time for kevy to enjoy the rest of his summer in Canada and then go to Hawaii in October lol Chow for now.
As I said before, she doesn't have any excuses for not having a single out by now.
I don't know why she's taking all this time but I would advise her to pay attention at what she will say in the future. And Maybe to hire a press agent who can speak for her...
I was looking through my website's news archives back when Up! was released in 2002. Mercury announced the album title and November 19 release date on August 12. That was 3 months ahead. The lead single, "I'm Gonna Getcha Good!", was released on October 4, and the "IGGG" music video was released on October 9.

I suppose Eja will start school in September, so I think the recording session will end by that time and she will return to Bahamas.
Because we can assume she's in Nashville to record the album, there are no other explanations.
So maybe we can still hope for a September announcement.
Eja is 15 now. He may not need her to be close that much. I guess he's staying with someone while she's away. Otherwise, how could she tour a year ago? Her tour continued in autumn as well.
We know Shania has been working on an album based on Twitter pictures from Shania, producers, etc.. But when it will be released is still anyone's guess. Shania has not even officially announced the album or an estimated release date. As I mentioned, usually artists will announce they are coming out with an album in such and such month. Then 3-4 weeks later they will announce the album's title and release date. Followed by the lead single shortly after.

Well, tomorrow is Shania's 51st birthday. We know we won't be getting a single by tomorrow and unless a miracle happens, I don't expect an announcement either. I'm not surprised though. It's crazy how much time she is taking for one album! It better be good! We know Shania has songs finished so I don't know why she can't release the lead single. Unless the album still isn't ready! Because once the lead single is released, albums come out 4-6 weeks after.
I'm guessing we'll hear something in September. Who knows! Unless she surprises us tomorrow. But I doubt it. She hasn't even mentioned anything about the album. Like when she expects it to come out.

Well Tommy, Shania better be careful to make suggestions and statements about the release of the album and/or the lead single this time... personally, I will wait for the offical announcement of her record label. That should be reliable. Shania's statements rarely are, especially the new music ones. But you're right, more than a year to record an album is crazy. We know "Up!" was ready and finished in 2001 and its release was delayed because of Shania's pregnancy and 9/11. But rumors about the album title, about the concept and so on were circulating months before the official announcement by Mercury. Even Shania made some declarations about it.
This time, zero. We know something is goin' on because of all the pics and tweets posted, but at this point I think they were all about the writing and demo-recording sessions. The real recording session has been done in Nashville this month and I don't have the faintest idea how long it takes recording and mixing an album.
For the billionth time, we'll wait and we hope September will be THE month. Only time will tell...
She's taking so much time because this time she's not with Mutt. She knows a lot of people will examine every piece of her new songs so she's just being careful, I guess. I'm not surprised. I didn't believe her words when she said she wanted the album to be ready by her 51st birthday. We've heard a lot of such "promises". I guess I'm just got used to that and I doubt every statement she makes now.
I'm not disappointed either. I knew it would be so.
Starting to think no new album this year. I dunno. Opinions anyone?
I'm starting to think that too... If they're still recording it means there's still all the mixing process to go through and it's not a quick process. So maybe we'll hear something by the end of the year or early 2017.
The author/blogger of this article thinks it will be a few more months.
New Shania Twain Album Getting Closer
It looks like new music from country-pop queen Shania Twain is just around the corner.
By Laura K | CelebMix | August 30, 2016
Excitement overload! Shania Twain’s brand new album is just around the corner.
The 51-year-old country-pop crossover legend is currently working on the follow up to her 2002 diamond certified album ‘Up!’ and her music producer Jake Gosling-who has worked with huge names including One Direction and Ed Sheeran-has shared a snap of drummer Andy Nixon as they record the drum sessions for the upcoming LP.
It was thought that Twain would give her fans a taste of her new music before her birthday but since the star celebrated turning 51 on the 28th of August it seems they will have to wait a little longer before hearing any new songs.
But after waiting fourteen years for a new LP from the record-breaking superstar what’s a few more months?
The ‘Come On Over’ hitmaker has been working on a new album since she made a sensational comeback in 2011 after recovering from Dysphonia which causes a dysfunction in the muscles needed to produce speech. Therefore Twain ultimately lost her singing voice for a number of years but after extensive treatment and rehabilitation she made a triumphant return with her 2011 hit ‘Today Is Your Day‘, before announcing her 2012 Las Vegas residency. The Las Vegas shows ran from 2012-2014 and produced a live album of the show and DVD.
After her residency had ended Shania announced her 2015 ‘Rock This Country’ farewell tour, the tour was a huge success and firmly cemented her status as the best female country singer of all time.
Now a year after her tour ended Twain is officially working on her fifth studio album and by the looks of it we could be getting it very soon. The album has once again been recorded all over the world so we can expect a variety of different sounds and cross genres.
I always wanted to make comments and so decided to sign up. Here's my opinion? A single sometime late in September or Early October and a album sometime in November or early December. If she wants strong album sales then around Christmas would seem sufficient. Not to mention the Cma awards this November
I don't mind waiting for the new album but I just kinda wish we could get some sort of clarification from her. I mean what happened to the whole I'm probably gonna do another residency and the whole RTC might do a European tour. Did all those plans just fall apart? Remember we did see her in Vegas earlier this year. I was sure then an announcement was coming but nope nothing came to be. I wish she'd talk to us. I remember a few years back she did a Q&A with fans and answered alot of our questions then.
I thought the same. It's strange she didn't post anything about her birthday because last years she had always posted something about it. Can it be she doesn't post anything because she didn't keep her own words about releasing something before she turns 51.
She didn't post anything on her birthday because she knew people were expecting a new single or at least an announcement. So she figured she'd better stay out of the spotlight. But that was a week ago and she still hasn't posted anything. It's strange because she has been regularly posting pictures of her adventures, concerts and sporting events.

Well if this is why we haven't heard from her lately I hope she learned the lesson this time realizing she has said too much and done too little. Maybe she'll be quiet until she's ready to make an announcement and she'll speed up the recording process (even if I doubt it).
Maybe She's doing a photo shoot and getting ready to launch a big countdown. Not including a music video. Up album was done the same way? I also believe the greatest hits first single was released later in September too

A photo shoot only takes a day or two. And even IF she's making a music video (which probably takes 3 or 4 days), that wouldn't be a reason why she hasn't posted anything in 10 days.

Just a guess. If she's shooting something she had to change her look (the hair roots have grown and her blonde is almost yellow now) and she may not want to show it yet.
Nah, this time her silence is pure and simple guilt. Period.
There are NO excuses for not having a single out by now, especially if she has been recording since February. She's simply dragging her feet and I don't know why.
I wonder if there's a clause in her record contract that says she HAS TO release something within a certain period of time. I know some artists have it (i.e. 5 albums in 5 years or something like that)
Okay please people you need to stop being surprised at this lol Okay people give your head a shake, the last time Shania had an studio album out was 14 years ago lol And over that time there was the break up and then feeling sorry for herself for another few years and then the stupid reality show giving her courage to tour again lol you guys all fall for this lol Listen i was one of Shania's biggest fans but Shania had many chances over the last many years to put out one stupid album lol Matt says Shania feels guilty? Really? i don't think Shania feels guilty about anything and she doesn't have to because it is her life. But if i was her and in her position i would feel ashamed at all the lies she has told her fans over the many years and making everyone feel sorry for her. It would of been okay if Shania just said to her fans that she is going to go away for many years and not put out an album out for a while. But she kept you fans hanging on year by year hinting of music every year and here it is 2016 and still nothing lol You see she has the right to do whatever she wants with her life. I guess where the problem is when she takes advantage of the die hard fans emotions who have been waiting years for an album. She never clarifies and everything she says is fuzzy and rarely turns out to be true. So I don't think Shania feels guilty and don't believe she even cares because the fans on message boards are such a small percentage who buy music when it comes out. Now i thought she would for sure have an album or single out by her birthday because i finally decided to believe her lol That was the 10th time i was fooled lol And no album is worth waiting 14 years for and you know the critics will be all over her and say we waited 14 years for this. I am now very much doubting she will even have an album out this year lol So i think all you fans could do is wait and hope she eventually puts out a good album because you know Shania doesn't care what her fans on here think. If she did she would clarify one time in the last 14 years what she means when she says something lol
