Kelly Rowland, Kid Rock, Carly Rae Jepsen, Ke$ha and "Nashville" star Hayden Panettiere will also present at the event, airing live May 19 on ABC
An awards show isn't complete without a stocked roster of superstar presenters, and the upcoming Billboard Music Awards, airing live on ABC Sunday from Las Vegas, promises to deliver.
Cee-Lo Green, Shania Twain, Celine Dion, Miley Cyrus, Kelly Rowland, PSY, Kid Rock, Carly Rae Jepsen, Ke$ha, Jennifer Nettles, Sky Blu, Alanis Morisette, Wiz Khalifa and Florida Georgia Line lead up the music side of the presenters list.
Hollywood will be represented by Hayden Panettiere ("Nashville"), Chloe Grace Moretz ("Dark Shadows"), Alyssa Milano ("Mistresses"), Jennifer Morrison ("Once Upon a Time"), Gabriel Mann ("Revenge"), Stana Katic ("Castle") and Emmy Rossum ("Shameless").
As previously announced, Prince will be on hand to perform and accept the Billboard Icon Award, and Madonna will take the stage to receive the Top Touring Artist award for her MDNA tour.
The 2013 Billboard Music Awards will air this Sunday, May 19 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC, live from Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena. "30 Rock" alum Tracy Morgan will host, with Don Mischer producing.
Along with Prince, other performers joining the ceremony include Taylor Swift, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Bruno Mars, Miguel, Justin Bieber, Pitbull, Christina Aguilera, Selena Gomez, the Band Perry, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Chris Brown, Ed Sheeran, Akon, Ne-Yo, David Guetta and Icona Pop.
Swift, fun. and Maroon 5 top the finalists at the 2013 awards, with each included in 11 categories. Rihanna competes in 10 categories, including Top Artist against Swift, Maroon 5, Justin Bieber and One Direction, while a pair of younger artists -- Carly Rae Jepsen and 1D themselves -- are finalists in nine and eight categories, respectively.
Billboard Music Awards finalists were based on key fan interactions with music, including album and digital singles sales, radio airplay, touring, streaming and social interactions on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, VEVO, Spotify and other popular online destinations for music. These measurements were tracked year-round by Billboard and its data partners, including Nielsen Entertainment and Next Big Sound.
Stay tuned for more announcements for the May 19 airing of the 2013 Billboard Music Awards on ABC.
The awards show starts at 5:00pm PT (local time) and I just realized Shania also has a "Still The One" show Sunday night at 7:30pm PT. So she must be presenting pretty early so she'll have time to get back to The Colosseum and get ready for her show.

According to Robin Leach, Shania will present the Rap Artist of the Year award...
2013 Billboard Music Awards preview: Prince, Madonna, Bieber, Swift
By Robin Leach | May 16, 2013
It’s a network TV war of music stars this weekend and Las Vegas is the site of the battle, with Prince and Madonna leading the charge at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards at MGM Grand Garden Arena on Sunday. As we posted earlier today, Tim McGraw has a host of country kings and queens for his “Tim McGraw’s Superstar Summer Night” special on CBS.
Directly opposite it on ABC, the big guns of pop will fire at the BBMAs, with Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift on the list (Taylor, in fact, is part of Tim’s special, too). Before I report all the superstar performances, let’s take a look at the presenters led by our Caesars Palace headliners Celine Dion and Shania Twain.
Kid Rock, who is here for Tiger Woods’ weekend activities for Tiger Jam, also will present an award, as will CeeLo Green, Miley Cyrus, Kelly Rowland, Psy, Carly Rae Jepsen, Ke$ha, Jennifer Nettles, Sky Blu of LMFAO, Alanis Morrisette, Wiz Khalifa and Florida Georgia Line. We’ll post my exclusive interview from Wednesday with Shania Twain on Monday, but she did tell me that she’ll be presenting the Rap Artist Award.
“I love rap,” she confided. “You will catch me singing like that around the house. I love those artists, what they create and the lyrics of urban poetry.”Hollywood will be represented by Hayden Panettiere (“Nashville”), Chloe Grace Moretz (“Dark Shadows”), Alyssa Milano (“Mistresses”), Jennifer Morrison (“Once Upon a Time”), Gabriel Mann (“Revenge”), Stana Katic (“Castle”) and Emmy Rossum (“Shameless”).
Prince will be onstage to perform and accept the Billboard Icon Award, and Madonna will receive the Top Touring Artist Award for her MDNA tour. Other performers: Taylor, Justin, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Bruno Mars, Miguel, Pitbull, Christina Aguilera, Selena Gomez, The Band Perry, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Chris Brown, Ed Sheeran, Akon, Ne-Yo, David Guetta and Icona Pop.
It would be so ironic if Taylor, The Band Perry and our Las Vegas R&B star Ne-Yo were actually competing with their own appearances simultaneously on the taped “Superstar Summer Night.”
Taylor and Maroon 5 top the finalists at the awards, with each included in 11 categories. Rihanna competes in 10 categories, including Top Artist against Taylor, Maroon 5, Justin Bieber and One Direction, while a pair of younger artists — Carly Rae Jepsen and One Direction — are finalists in nine and eight categories, respectively.
The BBMAs will be hosted by comedy actor Tracy Morgan of “30 Rock” fame. Las Vegas DJ residents David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Deadmau5 and Skrillex are all nominated in the EDM category.
I’ll be backstage Sunday reporting via Twitter @robin_leach. We’ll have video and photo coverage from the red carpet and will post a photo gallery Sunday evening and then wrap up the entire superstar night Monday.
Watch live as the biggest names in music arrive at the BBMAs on the Cambio blue carpet!
All eyes will be on the 2013 Billboard Music Awards' blue carpet when the stars arrive at Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena on Sunday (May 19) for the big event - and you can watch live video of it right here! Tune in from 6:30pm ET/3:30pm PT until the BBMAs begin at 8pm ET to see all of the action on the blue carpet, presented by Cambio.
I wish a reporter/journalist would have the guts to just pin her down (in a friendly way) and ask her why she has chosen not to perform on any televised show anymore......You would think that Robin Leach could simply ask her, "Just present, why are you not performing?"
It was the highlight of award shows for me in the 90's/early 00's......waiting for Shania to perform. Always the best performance. Always better than the rest.
When was her last television award show performance?
I'm sure Shania will be there. I just checked the TV guide and the Blue Carpet show is not listed anywhere. It will only be shown online at the link above.

Shania was just interviewed on the Blue Carpet. Basically just talked about Vegas and said she might head into the studio within the next year but just wants to get her Vegas show under her belt. She looks great! Shania is wearing a light silver strapless, floor-length gown.

Robin Leach said on twitter that Shania's on stage horse died.........has anyone heard this news? Sad :(
Yeah I saw that a couple hours ago but it looks like he deleted it. He said it will be in the article/interview with Shania that he'll be posting tomorrow. Last night on Twitter, somebody mentioned something about a horse getting hurt on stage during last night's show. Could it be the same horse?

The country star said Sunday (May 19) on the 2013 Billboard Music Awards red carpet that she likes to have "fun with fashion." While that was evident again at the event, she's also feeling quite comfortable as a current Las Vegas resident, which made it a short hop for her to get to the awards at the MGM Grand -- as it was when she appeared at last month's Academy of Country Music Awards, also staged at that site.
Twain is back in the spotlight as the star of her own show ("Shania: Still the One") at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, where she started a two-year run in December. "Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under?," "Come On Over" and "That Don't Impress Me Much" are among the many hits the performance encompasses.
Despite the considerable size of that room, Twain maintains "it's more intimate than when you're out on the road" to entertain audiences there. "And there's more consistency in the performance."
That engagement also is helping Twain rev up to record again. While she says "the writing is always there" in terms of prepping new material, she muses, "I've gotta kick myself in the butt and get back in the studio."
That would be only her fifth studio album ... and in the meantime, Vegas will be providing plenty of opportunities for fans that the Twain shall meet.
Wearing a Pavoni by Mikael D dress, Shania was named as one of the "Best Dressed."
Best Dressed:Shania Twain was looking hot, hot, hot on the blue carpet, sporting gorgeous long hair and a flowing strapless dress with plenty of blingy accessories to pull the look together. We loved the shape, flow and detailing of this gown.
Sophia Grace and Rosie (from the Ellen show) were on the Billboard red carpet and talked to a bunch of stars including Shania very briefly at the 2:40 mark.
That was adorable! I love Shania. How she uses her British accent and at the end Yeah I'll have gum. Too bad her part was so short. She should be an actress.

Well, Celine and Shania certainly did not "headline" the Billboard awards. But I guess I can forgive a Canadian magazine for their bias ;) It was more like Taylor Swift and company who headlined. Celine and Shania played very small roles. They were not even in the commercials on tv.
Top 5 Best Dressed Over 40 at 2013 Billboard Music Awards
Monday, May 20, 2013
Pictured: Jenny McCarthy (40), Jennifer Lopez (43), Alyssa Milano (40), Shania Twain (47), Celine Dion (45)
What do these five women here have in common? They're all over 40 years old and all have given birth to at least one child. We decided that the over 40 crowd needed to get their own respect and though Alyssa Milano made our overall Worst Dressed list, for the over 40 crowd she makes our Best Dressed List. Yeah, we know this makes absolutely no sense but we had to keep with a Top 5 theme. Anyways, one more time, the event took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas with Tracy Morgan as host and performances by Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars, and Macklemore and Ryan Lewis featuring Wanz, to name a few. Taylor Swift was the big winner, taking home awards in 8 of 11 nominations. Rihanna also scored big snagging 4 awards. Check out a full list of winners and keep up with the 2013 Billboard Music Awards online at Billboard.com.
Who's Your Over-40 Best Dressed?
Jennifer Lopez Jenny McCarthy Alyssa Milano Celine Dion Shania Twain
The media always acts SO shocked when a woman dares to look sexy and beautiful after 40. So annoying. Like they are freaks of nature. If you are pretty at 30 why do they assume you will look like a grandma in your 40's......
I have always found women in their 30's and 40's more sexy than women in their 20's. It is also funny how the media make some of these celebs out to be so gorgeous or someone you would want too look like lol. I see better looking women in my local bar than most of these celebs. And the woman in the bar don't have people around them daily to make them look good. Hollywood is so fake with a few rare exceptions.
