Ok so she did recored music but nothing new, then finally I believe Shania ran out of ideas for her new album and this is pity because she does sound great on the duet.
How is the song selling on the itunes chart? Radio Singles chart?
Being that the song is not even a week old yet, we probably won't know the Brazilian chart position until sometime next week. I HIGHLY doubt that the song will receive any airplay in the US or Canada. This was a project promoted almost entirely by Paula's team. As for the iTunes Brazilian charts, here is the latest.
The duet currently sits at #30 overall. (This was posted 5hrs ago, via CasaTwain)
The song is at #30, with four full days on the Brazilian iTunes chart. I don't know how well that is for music standards in Brazil. Since it is an overall chart and includes artists like Ariana Grande and Katy Perry, who are currently dominating worldwide (which used to be Shania), I'd say this is a pretty good spot for the song. I will login to the Brazilian iTunes store throughout the week to keep everyone updated on the status on iTunes.

After looking at the charts myself, just now I saw that the song has dropped to position #37on the overall Brazil iTunes chart. Hopefully it will pick up speed. It is very odd that Paula is labeled Country but once I click on "Country" it brings me back to the "All Genres" page. iTunes Brazil has no official country chart, to my knowledge. Maybe the song would do better on that chart if it existed.
i know it is #13 on the all genre brazil itunes chart. I don't think it went to #1 this quick lol it is more of a slow building song because not really much promotion as Shania of course will not sing it live with paula in Brazil. What chart is it number 1. It has only been out a week, i don't think it has entered the chart yet.

Shania Twain Records ‘You’re Still the One’ Duet … in Portuguese! [Watch]
By Carrie Horton | November 3, 2014
Shania Twain is already an international star, and now she’s learning to sing in multiple languages! Check out this amazing duet of her hit ‘You’re Still the One’ with Brazilian singer Paula Fernandes — half of it’s in Portuguese!
Twain recently invited Fernandes to meet her in Las Vegas to not only catch her Still the One Tour, but to actually join her onstage for a lovely duet of her 1997 hit. Twain also got to practice singing in another language, as the two stunning singers recorded the song in both English and Portuguese.
The sweet video of Fernandes’ time with Twain also gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at her epic show in Vegas, with the ‘That Don’t Impress Me Much’ singer looking as beautiful and poised as ever. In recent months, Twain has been talking about new country music and a tour, but an official announcement is still forthcoming.
Shania Twain Records New Duet Version of ‘You’re Still the One’
By Hannahlee Allers | November 4, 2014
Shania Twain has re-recorded ‘You’re Still the One’ as an unexpected duet.
Twain is joined by Brazilian singer Paula Fernandes on the new version of the hit song. Adding a twist to the classic, Fernandes sings the first verse and helps out on the chorus in Portuguese.
The video for the duet shows the singers meeting during a rehearsal for Twain’s show at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas. Footage of them on stage and in the studio is also included, and there’s no doubt that these two songstresses — who share a birthday on Aug. 28 — really enjoy each other’s company.
In addition to the new take on an old song, Twain recently announced that she is working on new music. Fans have been waiting for a studio album since 2002′s ‘Up,’ and with her residency at Caesar’s Palace wrapping up in December, Twain says she’s ready to release new music.
“I am in the middle of putting the album together, and that’s very exciting,” she says. “That’s a whole new world there for me because that took a lot of courage, too. Just to really dive in there and expose my songwriting for the first time after a long time to my peers and have to sit there and get the feedback and be brave enough to do that.”
‘You’re Still the One’ is available for download on iTunes.
