Okay - so, she releases an album. After that - do you think she will still go on tour in Europe or do you think she's scratching that plan? I'm curious because I'm contemplating holding off on an early summer Europe trip (I live in the U.S.) waiting for her Europe leg of the tour, whenever that may be. But RTC tour ended a year and a half ago and no ideas given (like time frame, possible cities, etc) about any Europe extension.
Sounds like she wants to immediately get started on another album. I don't know if Shania will ever tour again. She did maintain that the Rock This Country Tour was her farewell tour. She's also talked a lot about how she hasn't made many albums and now she feels like she just needs to make albums and she's got lots of songwriting to back it up. She made a comment/joke that she has enough material for 5 albums. That may not literally be the case, but she clearly just wants to write and make music. She's also made comments that she would like to eventually step back from recording music and just write songs for new singers that are out there. As Shania gets older, I can see her making albums, I hope many more to come and then eventually stepping back and just writing music for other singers as she enjoys retirement. That of course is a long time away! She's still very young, still has albums to make, and still has lots of stories to tell through her music! She might even get the urge to tour again once new music is up and running. But that's all just my opinion based on interviews and comments she's made. She's just getting started on a new musical chapter in her life and I hope it is far from over!
