Hi there everyone,

I have been a long, long time lurker of this board and I'm not actually sure why I never joined earlier - one of my regrets!

Anyway, My name is Gaby and I'm originally from Australia but I moved countries a few times growing up - so I'm kind of based everywhere. My first love of Shania was when I was about 9 and I heard her on the radio and BEGGED my mom to buy me her Come On Over CD and she did and the rest is history! After literally playing that album everyday for about 2 years non stop I found out the most unbelievable news an 11 year old could ever hear "Shania Twain to tour Australia" I think I must of screamed my lungs out being all dramatic,  I again BEGGED my parents to let me see her when she came to Melbourne in 1999.. I begged and begged for a good solid few months everyday non stop. They bought me tickets as a surprise and she was the first real concert that I ever saw. I feel really lucky to have seen her first major world tour, and even though I was so young I still remember it very clearly. BEST. NIGHT. EVER!!!!

Fast forward a couple of years my family relocated to California for my dads work for a few short years and during that UP! was released. This particular album was a  major part of my life growing up. I just moved countries and left all my friends so this was my saviour. It means a lot to me this and still does to this day. I was again fortunate and very grateful that I was able to see the UP! tour in California. It's an incredible memory I'll always have.

After spending some time in the USA, we moved back to Australia where I finished high school and attended University with a  a few gap years in between. I somehow planned my semester abroad during her show in Vegas in 2012 and obviously attended those too. I had the opportunity of meeting her there, it was wonderful and the most special moment (i was pretty much a basketcase trying to keep it together). The first thing I was said in my head was "Yay, she's short like myself", I don't even know why! I hope to meet her again someday to tell her everything that I couldn't.  She was gracious, lovely and so appreciative. After my semester abroad I went back to finish University back home, and then again moved back over to the States to work/travel after finishing studying beginning of 2014.

I was living overseas up until Jan 2017 so I also saw Rock This Country tour in 2015, which was so much FUN!!! And it now brings me back to being back home again for a couple of months, BUT I'M BEYOND EXCITED TO SEE HER SHANIA NOW TOUR over in Toronto and NYC (and maybe LA)! I hope she brings the tour to Australia - everyone has been wanting her to come back for so long now!

This was much longer than expected, but that's pretty much my Shania life!

Cya around :)

You're so lucky to have seen all of her tours!!! Jealous. :) I've never seen her in person and in concert. Hope, she'll come to Europe with the new tour.
