I wonder why Shania still isn't confirmed to perform.

The CMAs updated their list of performers today including performances by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill & P!NK and Keith Urban. Along with an opening collaboration featuring Eric Church, Lady Antebellum, Darius Rucker, and Keith Urban.

***And why would the CMAs do the old "surprise performance" thing? I'd be promoting it. 1. To benefit Shania. 2. To benefit the show's ratings. And if they say a "surprise performance from an artist who hasn't performed in 15 years" or whatever, people will know it's Shania. That's all we've heard for 6 months. LOL.

I understand not all performers have been announced. Just wondering why Shania hasn't been confirmed yet considering it's less than 2 weeks away and Derek Frank posted she is performing back in July. It would be good promotion to go ahead and announce Shania will be there.

 I get it. I was hoping they’d promote the performance too, considering it could do the album some added good. Hopefully she’s the special guest performer or something because they announced the full list about an hour ago, and she isn’t listed.

Where is the full and final list of performers? They just updated the list earlier today as I posted above. Plus the CMA site still says "Check back as we continue to release the full list of performers and presenters for Country Music’s Biggest Night!"

According to Derek Frank she is. But there hasn't been an official announcement from the CMAs yet. They updated their list of performers yesterday.

 So disappointing. I get that the Country Music Association invites the performers that play each year, but considering the fact her album was #1, its a huge slap in the face. Freaking politics.

I guarantee Shania was invited. Derek Frank even posted it on his site back in July. Shania and her team most likely backed out due to the fact she doesn't have a current hit single she can sing. She surely can't sing the lead (and really only) single "LATGG" at the CMAs. Not to mention it flopped at Country radio.

 She should have sing though another song like Soldier or We Got Something They Don’t. If it is confirm that she is not singing at the CMAs then I hope her team is doing something in the next months.

I knew she would not be performing. She does not like singing live or she has a confidence issue. The album has only been out a month. Why would she not perform? Frustrating because I wanted her too promote the hell out of it. Also to those bashing Tommy for speaking the truth on here please learn to understand that he speaks the truth. He's the biggest Shania fan I know and I'm a huge fan. I'm very disappointed she's not performing but I'm not shocked. This album is good but it's more pop.  I agree with you and Tommy on quite a lot of things. But I think it has a lot to do with expectations from fans. Very plain, but it's her carreer and life. if she doesn't want to perform (because she maybe doesn't give a damn about charts or award shows) so be it. Off course as a big fan I want her to make massive impact on global charts and be on our tv's every week, but it is how it is. I embrace the fact new music is out, that I like some of that music and that I will see her on tour again next year. Let's celebrate any success (the #1 album!!!) and spread posivity and maybe stop assuming things.

 you see it happening all the time with award shows. And usually it's actually the icons (like shania is) that make those suprise appearances. So I don't rule it out. I don't know what the reason would be, but we'll see.

He probably deleted it because he shouldn't have said anything at all. I'm sure people were bugging him about it and asking why she isn't performing. 

Just saw a new CMA Awards commercial featuring artists performing. And no mention of any surprises. I think it's safe to say Shania definitely won't be attending the CMA Awards on Wednesday night.

Yea but is the group playing tomorrow night in California? Well it doesn't look like Shania will be at the CMA's.  What a let down she will not perform at the show. Her first album in 15 years and the idiots in her management think it's best she sit out the most exposure she could get for a new song. And a slap in the face to those fans who first followed her from seeing her on the CMA'S in the mid 90's    GREAT album shania but brain dead management and illogical dumb decisions. Instead she will be on Twitter sending meaningless tweets to die hard fans while the great music on her album by in large stays invisible to most of the music consuming public lol Go hide Shania while your album dies. By the way, I think I told you the album would not sell many copies. But you kept going on and on about how great sales would be and that people will especially buy the album during the holidays as gifts. No way....

The main reason the album debuted at #1 was out of pure curiosity. After 15 years, people wanted to hear what the new music sounded like.

What "tone" do I have? And how am I being negative and harsh? I'm just speaking the truth as I always do. People just don't like to hear it. That's fine...

Like I said, the main reason NOW debuted at #1 was out of pure curiosity. People wanted to hear what the "new Shania" and music sounded like. How else do you explain the sharp weekly decline in sales since Week 1? This week the album falls 52 spots to No. 126 on the Billboard 200 chart!!! It falls 7 spots to No. 17 on the Billboard Country chart and falls 10 spots to No. 19 on Canadian chart.
