Rachel Smith: Which song are you most looking forward to performing live again?
Shania: It might be something new. Because I'm getting inspired creatively right now. I think I'm going to add something that I haven't done before. And there's so much time between now and December. I mean I guess I'm just getting impatient too...
Grammy award-winning artist and the "Queen of Country Pop" Shania Twain is telling Rachel Smith about getting back on stage for her "Let's Go!" Las Vegas residency at the Zappos Theater. She talks about getting back together with everyone, how "Let's Go Girls!" has become an anthem for positivity and which song she is looking forward to most when she hits the stage live again.

Not a good sign for Vegas residencies. Who knows what this Delta variant Covid surge will be like across the U.S. in a couple months and into the Fall.

***Except for Shania's first two shows in December, tickets aren't selling well at all. And even those shows are empty in the upper level. It looks like the other residencies aren't selling well either since Live Nation is basically trying to give away tickets. Who knows what things will be like with Covid going into the Fall. Residencies could be shut down again if these variants get out of control. Covid cases and deaths are already climbing significantly again. Starting Friday, Nevada is implementing an indoor mask mandate again for everyone, vaccinated or not.

Here we go... As I said, starting Friday, Nevada is implementing an indoor mask mandate again for everyone, vaccinated or not. How the hell do you sing and dance at a concert/residency show without your mask falling down? I bet most people won't keep it on.
Usher, Bruno Mars will play to masked fans

In conjunction with guidance from Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Nevada Gaming Control Board relating to the mitigation of the spread of COVID-19 and the Delta variant, we will require that everyone regardless of vaccination status, wear a mask in public indoor settings. Learn about our Health and Safety Protocols.
***How can you wear a mask at a concert? It gets so hot as it is. Plus with singing and jumping around, how does a mask stay up? But "the show must go on" unless these variants get out of control I guess. They don't want to lose any more money. Basically the U.S. mindset now is if people don't want to get vaccinated, it's your fault if you die. We'll see how bad things get in the Fall. Shows might have to shut down again if there are no other options.

Live Nation (which operates Zappos Theater) will require everyone attending concerts to be Covid-19 vaccinated or present a negative test starting October 4. This will hurt ticket sales! Not everyone wants to be vaccinated or jabbed up the nose. Artists and employees performing/working in venues owned or operated by Live Nation will also be required to be Covid-19 vaccinated or present proof of a negative test.

Shania Twain Is Gearing Up For A 'Reunion Like No Other' At Vegas Residency
By Kelly Fisher | iHeartRadio | September 7, 2021
Shania Twain is promising a “reunion like no other” at her upcoming residency in Las Vegas.
The iconic 1990s country singer announced her “Let’s Go! The Las Vegas Residency” earlier this year. The 14-show series kicks off from December 2 through December 12, and picks up again from February 11 through February 26. The “That Don’t Impress Me Much” artist took to Instagram with a performance photo in Las Vegas, aiming to “ROCK! THIS! COUNTRY!” at the upcoming residency. Find more info here.
“Still The One” to depend on to churn out beloved country hits, Twain also teamed up with Kelsea Ballerini on a remixed version of Ballerini’s “Hole in the Bottle.” Ballerini previously shared a screenshot of the text message exchange with Twain that spurred the collaboration, when the country hitmakers made plans to meet for dinner and a drink. It seems the two of them continue to support one another: When Twain recently posted on Instagram “Who's coming to my #LetsGoVegas residency this December?,” Ballerini emphatically replied: “ME.”

20. From This Moment On
21. Man! I Feel Like A Woman!
After performing only 8 shows before Coronavirus hit and shut everything down in March 2020, Shania will resume her 2-year Las Vegas "Let's Go!" residency show tonight at Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. ***The show starts at 8:00pm PT local time in Las Vegas (11:00pm ET). The setlist should still be the same. We don't know which Christmas song(s) Shania will sing. She sang a couple verses of "White Christmas" back in 2019.
I see she has changed some of her outfits and now she sings Party For Two with Cory and not with the other member of the band like she did for the first 8 shows back in 2019-2020. Everything else is the same show. It makes sense with only 8 dates performed before the lockdown.
Side note: am I seeing wrong or no one is wearing a mask in the audience?

Residency returns since being sidelined by pandemic
By Buddy Iahn | The Music Universe | December 3, 2021
Shania Twain reopened her Let’s Go! The Las Vegas Residency at Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on Thursday (Dec 2nd) with a bang. The Canadian country pop star started her second residency in December 2019, but was delayed nearly two years due to the pandemic.
The concert was full of brilliant lighting and 3D effects that entertained the packed house of nearly five thousand, including celebrities such as Miranda Lambert, Ray Parker Jr of “Ghostbusters” fame, and members of the rock band TOTO.
Twain opened the show with “Rock This Country” which celebrated America with red, white and blue graphics. The stage was set with several moving cubes that doubled as 3D 4K screens and featured an array of graphics. The theater is intimate enough that Twain did not need to be projected onto any of the screens herself. Therefore, the screens were all encompassing which enticed the energetic crowd to its feet much of the night.
Twain performed 21 songs which totaled a bit over two hours. She stopped the show a few times to greet fans who were brought on stage for a quick meet and greet and photos. She signed several shirts and tossed them into the crowd during a Christmas segment that included a tree and sleigh setup.
Twain, who was very personable throughout the evening, also shared some inspiration behind some of her biggest hits, including “Up.”
“Music is always a go-to for me when I need to like pick up my spirits, no doubt about it,” she tells the crowd before being whisked high above the stage. “So I write songs like this. If I’m having a sh*tty day or I just can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel, I literally just sit down and force myself to write about things that are positive in life and a positive point of view. It’s kinda like a mind over matter exercise.”
Twain is no doubt a well renown entertainer with her eight costume changes and a savvy stage presence. Without giving spoilers, this residency includes some miraculous staging and one of a kind graphics that are sure to turn heads.
The final song, “Man! I Feel Like A Woman,” indeed had every man, woman and child in attendance feeling the groove of the now iconic hook that has become Shania’s theme song. It left the fans in complete awe.
Thirteen additional shows are scheduled throughout December and February. Tickets on sale now via Ticketmaster with $1 of every ticket purchased being donated to Shania Kids Can.
Shania isn't singing "Forever And For Always" for this set of shows. Maybe she'll add it back in February.

Do y'all think Shania uses playback in her shows? In videos I've seen of her Let's Go residency some songs sound so rough like the intro to You're Still the One, Party for Two and Rockin Around the Christmas Tree, while other songs like I'm Gonna Getcha Good and Man I Feel Like a Woman sound flawless. The ending of Man I Feel Like A Woman sounds identical to the album version in my opinion and it doesn't sound like her new rough voice. I'm also pretty sure she used the same track for You're Still the One in the Still the One Vegas Residency, Rock This Country Tour and Now Tour, but she now either performs it live or uses a track in a lower key. If she does use prerecorded tracks at times, I am not judging her at all for it and its completely understandable given the unpredictability of her voice with Lyme Disease and I would still pay to see her in concert. I am just curious as to what others think.
