It looks like Shania will make some kind of appearance/performance (probably taped) again this year on CNN's New Year's Eve coverage.

***So Shania and the band will be performing tonight but it must be a taped performance because Derek is in California and Cory Churko has a gig tonight with his band Toque in Saskatchewan, Canada. https://orpheumtheatre.ca/promotions/
Now the question is where is the taped performance from? Something from her "Let's Go!" show???

After the ball drops, the fun continues on CNN at 12:30a ET for New Year’s Eve Live with @BrookeBCNN and @DonLemon, featuring special guests @ShaniaTwain, @KeithUrban, @AmandaShires and @RichardMarx. #CNNNYE
They aired a short message from Shania laying on her back: "Happy New Year Anderson and Andy. Please come see me in Vegas.... This song is for you." Then they aired about a 2-minute clip of "That Don't Impress Me Much" from her "Let's Go!" show.

I hope she'll release this residency on DVD/Blu-ray as well. It's obvious that they film it as they film every her performance. I wish she wouldn't leave it behind the way she did with Now Tour.

I know most of you hate to hear this but with this professional footage you can really tell Shania is lip syncing or using a pre-recorded backing track. It even sounds like a backing track.

Most DVDs are edited. It doesn't sound like Shania did it with her earlier relieses but I know some artists who prefer to edit sound to make it sound more perfect and so it seems like the artist isn't singing live sometimes although at the actual filming they were. I mean it's always possible to explain why the concert doesn't look live on film. And even her last Vegas residency was filmed on two dates and sometimes the sound and her lips don't match. So that's not a problem. While Shania used to be about singing and live energy when I fell in love with her music, now she's more about show. So I'd be glad to see the show in good quality as there's no chance that I'll go to see her in Vegas.
