"Sisters" has been added to Shania's BMI catalog.

Back in 2019 on "The Talk", Shania said she met with Lizzo and Janelle Monáe at the AMAs show and was so moved by the experience, she went home and did something about it. “I went home and I actually wrote a song for the three of us. It’s called ‘Sisters’ and I think we are all sisters in what we do, and it was a really great new friendship that we started. And so I went home and wrote that song. They don’t know about it yet.”

This is the second or third time Shania has said "the album is just around the corner". Maybe by the end of the year but I still think early next year which would be "around the corner".

She announced 'Now' over three months in advance so I wonder if she'll do the same for this upcoming one.

I think she will announce the album at the next single, between the end of October, November. And the album 1, 2 or 3 months later. Since the radios are struggling to play "Waking Up Dreaming" because of her age... I think it would be good for Shania to release a collaboration. And "Sisters" with Lizzo and Janelle Monaé would have a chance of going on the radio.

I'm thinking Shania will announce the new album's 2023 release date AND release the second single on November 4 and then perform it at the Country Music Awards in Nashville on November 9. The American Music Awards are on November 20 but I don't know if she'll perform there too.

Shania didn't perform at any award show during the 'Now' era. She did the AMA performance but that was more of highlighting her career than anything (and the fact she didn't perform anything from the album). So I don't know if she'll perform on any for this album either. We shall see.

I think she could sing at the AMA's on November 20 since she just winked at it on TikTok and Instagram today. Besides, AMA's recently supported Waking Up Dreaming. Her new music seems more Pop than Country-Pop so I see her more at AMA's. Early November seems a little early, just over a month and another single already!?
Right now, I think Shania is thinking about what outfits she might wear to these awards, planning her tour, planning to shoot new music videos.

Shania Twain Teases Upcoming American Music Awards Performance

Shania Twain is giving us new music soon. She just dropped a brand new single titled “Waking Up Dreaming” and she has a new record label. It’s a fantastic return to the infectious crossover pop that became her signature in the late 90s. It seems that she’ll offer the first television performance of the track on the American Music Awards in November. She posted a new video soundtracked by the tune. And she directed fans to the AMAs on November 20. The awards show is held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles and it will air on ABC. It begins at 8 p.m. ET.

“Livin my dream,” she captioned the video, tagging the American Music Awards official account.

She shows off a lot of looks in the video montage. And she recently broke down a lot of her most iconic looks of all time. She talked about two looks that Kelsea Ballerini paid tribute to at this year’s ACM Honors. The 29-year-old star borrowed Shania Twain’s dress from the 1999 GRAMMY ceremony for the red carpet. She also recreated the iconic video for “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!” Shania Twain earned the ACM Poet’s Award at the ceremony. Fellow Canadian Avril Lavigne also paid tribute to one of her heroes. The entire ceremony is available to stream on Hulu.

I know she originally wrote sisters for Lizzo and Janelle Monae but I think it's possible that the final track may be with someone else.

There are a ton of other stars that may end have ended up doing it with her. Avril Lavigne, Kelsea Ballerini, Taylor Swift and Kelly Clarkson all come to mind.

Regardless of who it's with, I think it will be a big hit.

"Name and Likeness Shania Twain" is not a new song, it's very very old. There is a code to look at to see if a song is old or new.

It would seem strange to me knowing that she has already recorded a song with the same title "LUV eyes" on "the complete limelight sessions" album (2001).

I think she might just be referencing the song "Luv Eyes" considering she recorded it in the late 80s/early 90s as a demo track. Unless she is re-recording it for the new album.

I think you might have a point.

There might be more than a special guest, considering it's written "With special guests"... I wonder if it's the late '80s/early '90s song properly recorded or a new one with the same title. She's giving us so many hints these days, let's hope they will announce something official soon.

100% She will release a new album January/February. Head to the United States in late October, maybe perform at the CMAs and American Music Awards in November and announce a world tour all at the same time. What better way to give a press conference then at an awards show. Waking Up Dreaming was released international but Shania and her label decided to throw out something. A lot of people like the song including myself but I believe another music video and new song is all ready to be released. If she doesn't do either awards show then I'll be shocked! It's a perfect opportunity!

Shania and Fred are still in Switzerland. They are attending a concert tonight. I'm sure she'll head to the U.S. in a couple weeks for the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame gala and her induction on October 30. She'll probably release the second single from the new album in early-mid November and maybe do some TV interviews. The CMA Awards are November 9. Performers/presenters will probably start being announced in the next couple weeks. Then the American Music Awards are on November 21. We'll see if Shania attends/performs at either of the award shows.

I agree if she doesn't attend the awards shows well at least 1 the album will not sell as good. It will do well in Canada. There hasn't been a single sent to radio here which is strange. I'm calling canadian radio I was told it was released just wasn't sent to radio here not sure if anyone can confirm? Doing both awards shows with a more country pop sound second single would potentially be a good promotion. The CMA awards I'm less confident she will attend the American Music Awards are more likely. It is difficult to say however Waking up Dreaming seems to be more of a UK song. I get it was released international but the promotion was better there even though she didn't perform it. I think promotion is coming soon to North America but I'm still concerned she will promotion Waking up dreaming but Tommy makes sense a second single makes more sense. More news coming well it better be in Canada and the United States. The album is way better then now but that is my personal opinion. The queen song would be radio friendly and she sounded good. I'll also repeat that upbeat song on Tiktok should be released because it sounded so upbeat yet country/pop. Her new record label is in the United States so it seems likely an awards show. At last Good morning American and the Today show are also possibilities. I'd still rather the American Music awards because they seem so welcoming. The Cma awards I could care less. They haven't really treated her with the respect she deserves over the year's. Mark Ralph produced the "Queen Of Me" song and did fabulous. I'm leaning towards that being the second single. However I'm just not sure what her news coming is, We know album but a tour? Sounds likely. She doesn't need radio to have a song do well but she must promote the next single live. She's looking more beautiful than ever and needs to get things rolling. Until Then I am obsessed with Not Just a Girl, Waking up Dreaming I love but Not Just A Girl is more of a classic Shania and it was so uplifting and inspiring. Until we get more news I'll wait to post anything else. I have made my opinion and given feedback. Waking up dreaming regardless of it being a hit in my opinion it is a good song. Love you Shania 😍 and will be buying the new album regardless of how you promote it. Just preying for an awards show performance.

Maybe she’s waiting for 2023 promotion in order to celebrate her 30 anniversary in music industry ( major labels ) , anyway after so many years she must not fight for numbers actually, there are new artist to fight for it she’s an icon with a great career , now it’s time to have fun and release what she wants not thinking in numbers just enjoy music . Numbers , sales, streams it’s a problem for new artist not for Shania

I know why Smooth Radio is tagged. This video was originally posted on Tiktok on September 29 (with the captions "You WILL be a star forever, #ShaniaTwain. 💜"). Shania reposted it on TikTok yesterday ("I’m certainly enjoying it 🎥 @smoothradiouk #letsgogirls #wakingupdreaming). Then she put it back on YouTube. She mentions this radio because they created the video.

For the date of January 27, I thought about it too. We see that it has not been modified and is part of the original image. However, Shania's choice to write her name next to it may not be a coincidence, and it's a Friday. But, that day Ava Max also released a new album (with the same producers as for Waking Up Dreaming...). Wouldn't that be too competitive?

Alot of new so each day something new. A CMA performance with a new single would certainly be a bonus however hoping she does the American Music awards. A second single has to come out seems like she's about to head to North America and get promoting on the album and tour. Still the potential she sings waking up dreaming but a second single would make more sense

Nashville is just a standalone concert and not officially part of the 2023 tour. So the tour announcement is unlikely coming on Friday. Shania will probably be announcing the new album/pre-order info and releasing the second single.

I wonder if Kelsea and/or Breland will be featured on any of the songs on her album.

Kelsea is good friends with Shania and earlier this year Breland released his song Natural which uses the guitar riff from Man I Feel Like A Woman.

Perhaps a remix of Natural featuring Shania?
