Well, if her new tour will be packed with hits and new songs, the album has to be released as soon as possbile. I don't think December 23, but maybe January/early February.
We know she likes people to know the songs when she goes out on Tour, and she kicked off the Now Tour 8 months after the album release.
I don't think this time she will wait so long, if the Tour will be indeed massive as they say.
Well, here is our answer. New album not until NEXT YEAR - 2023
"She’s particularly excited to release new music (her sixth studio album will come out next year), and she gushes about her documentary’s newly recorded title track, which sums up the self-declared “rebel’s” mindset 30 years into her unparalleled career."
Watching Mirko's livestream in Vegas. A fan onstage just asked Shania when her new album is coming out. She said in the WINTER! So it looks like early next year which would go along with the article above.
Multi-million selling international superstar Shania Twain joins ITV’s Starstruck

About Shania Twain
International superstar Shania Twain is a five-time GRAMMY winner and one of music’s most renowned trailblazers. With five albums released and more than 100 million albums sold worldwide, Twain remains the top-selling female country pop artist of all time. Her hits include “Any Man of Mine,” “That Don’t Impress Me Much,” “You’re Still the One” and “Man! I Feel Like A Woman!”. Shania was the first artist in history to release 3 consecutive diamond certified albums. Twain’s first album in 15 years, NOW, was released in September 2017 and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 albums, making it the first female country release in over 3 years to top the all-genre chart. Additionally, the album landed at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country album charts and went to No. 1 in Canada, Australia and the UK. The release was followed by a year-long sold-out NOW World Tour. Twain is currently performing at her second residency in Vegas called “Let’s Go!”. The residency at the Zappos Theater in Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino kicked off with a sold out run and continues through 2022. On July 26, Netflix released Shania Twain: Not Just a Girl, a brand-new, career-spanning documentary on Twain’s life and career with an accompanying Highlights album. The Queen of Country Pop will return with new music this year.
This year??? A few nights ago in Las Vegas Shania said new album in the Winter which doesn't begin until December 21. November and December is still Fall. Plus the lead single hasn't even been released yet.

I wonder if they meant "Not Just a Girl" the song even though it was already released. Knowing how other artists do it, I wouldn't be surprised if the album doesn't come until March although I hope it's sooner than that.
Based on the things Shania is planning she's gonna be one busy lady for the next year. The Netflix documentary, The game show she recently done, The entertainment tonight interview, The CNN New interview coming, She said on Snapchat she would tour again to a fans comment a while ago. I've heard album clips on Netflix and Tiktok and truly believe this next album will be better than now. I don't really care if country radio/pop promotes it. she's already got an awesome fan base. With upbeat music she has spotify,Itunes,,YouTube, Tiktok, Instagram and most of all Facebook. Canada will 100% support the album and sales will be good. It's always guaranteed. The album she just released was just for the fans, I respect her for that. Even tho the 2004 greatest hits did much better chart wise but that wasn't unexpected because it was a greatest hits of her most successful songs. Her record label knows it wasn't gonna be a success but the point is her record label let's her do whatever she wants. They still make loot off of her. They probably love her next album but she's busy she has to plan a date for the new Album. Not just a girl won't be on the new album it wouldn't make any sense. However I still still believe had radio of played it there was a chance it might have done decent. She's also so dam beautiful. Personally I am glad her next album will have co writers, I think that's important. as to how many songs she wrote herself on this album it doesn't matter. Having co writers like she did with Mutt will help her career. Mutt is a fabulous producer but that doesn't mean she can't make a great album without him. She says now is her best album she's Personally done and that also makes sense because she write all the songs her without any input from other writers. It wasn't successful because it was so depressing and that was why she didn't promote it as hard. She just had to prove she could make an album without Mutt and she did. I remember being in Hamilton Ontario for the now tour and she would sing a song for now and people would leave for a break, That must have been challenging for her but her fans like upbeat catchy stuff. That's why this album she's chosen producer's who can make better upbeat songs. All I am saying don't be shocked if the album comes sooner. The 3 diamonds could mean her 30 year career for a tour. So I'll leave it at this and comments are welcome? She will now have an album coming upbeat that the fans will love. Shes not looking for a number 1 single she's just making a great album. Her voice sounds good on the clips I heard. Tommy what do you think? Anything I'm saying here make sense? Just my opinions. Excuse my spelling if there are errors. I'm part Irish
A fan sent a message to Cassie DiLaura (the reporter who interviewed Shania) and asked when the interview will air on "Entertainment Tonight". Cassie said it will air Friday, September 23. Supposedly she asked Shania about the new album. Could Shania be announcing the album and releasing the lead single that day??? Why is the interview being aired on a FRIDAY? Hmmm?
It sounds like the lead single will in fact be released next Friday, September 23...
In this month’s Clothes of Our Livescolumn, we are celebrating all things Cowgirl Couture with Twain, who has new music out later this month and an album due in 2023.
If that is indeed true then I'm so excited. 'Now' feels so long ago and I am so excited for a new era. It's also possible that the song will come out on the 30th because I imagine announcing it and releasing it on the same day doesn't tend to be Shania's thing but maybe she'll surprise us.
Not just a girl was released without any promotion. So maybe a new single? Hard to tell. This month seems to early especially if the album ain't out until 2023. She just finished Vegas and is taping a TV show. I think she's more likely to take a break and release the new single and album next year with a world tour.

I think it will be September 23rd. TV taping days of "Starstruck" UK are today until September 21st. So if the rumours of the UK tour (that would be announced soon according to source) are true she would take the opportunity to promote that with UK TV appearances on for example the One Show, ITV morning (in combo with attention for Sarstruck). Exciting times ahead.
How wonderful it feels to be acknowledged for my songwriting. Thank you to the @ACMawards for honouring me with the Poet's Award 🖤 #ACMhonors (Are you ready to hear some more of my songwriting skills? 😉)
I was thinking. Kelsea is releasing her new album next Fri Sep 23. It's weird Shania would also have a big day (new music, album announcement, etc) that day and "steal Kelsea's thunder". I can't see Shania doing that to her. Ya know? So maybe the new single will be released September 30.

Are they on the same label? If not, I think september 23rd is still a possibility. Think the record label/management has quite a big strategic say in it. If there are interviews and stuff planned already I don’t think they’ll suddenly backtrack.

Interviews can go ahead next week. I just think it will be strange/odd if Shania releases music the same day as Kelsea and "competes" against her knowing how close they are. We'll see.

They are not in competition, if you like both, you buy both. Shania reaches a wider audience. And then it's not the album just a single for the moment. Finally we will see.
Her last post shows a pic with 23 and 9 earrings. So she's telling us pretty clear something will happen that day.
And then the words "WUD" and "Gotta be now or never".

Thank you guys but a friend of mine helped me. I noticed the "Did I wake up dreaming?" thing but the WUD under the award has been noticed by Rita (ninetyns). So it was a collaboration😂😂
Anyway, I really like this guessing game, a-la Taylor Swift. But now I want the official announcement.
I guess we'll know something more next week. Maybe Monday or Tuesday.
I hadn't seen WUD on the trophy either! Definitely linked to new music (album name, single?). So WUD = "Wake Up Dreaming" if I understand correctly. We'll know soon, maybe as early as Sunday.
So she would likely release the album in November? Also wouldn't this make it the second single? Perhaps she ain't sending the songs to radio.
Several articles over the past couple months have stated new album in 2023. Then during a Vegas show Shania said it will be released in the Winter. So probably January or February. "Not Just A Girl" wasn't released as a single off The Highlights album. It was only a promo. Maybe it will be released as a single off the new album which Shania confirmed it will be on.

I find it hard to imagine she or the the label would release "Not Just a Girl" as a single after it has already been out for a little while. It'll probably just end up as an album track.
I agree with schnetzka. She must have so many more good songs anyway. Not all of them can be singles.
On the other hand, it seems impossible to me that we know the tracklist so quickly, everything in its time. She'll talk about the new single, the album and maybe the tour.
Shania's team changed her Twitter and Facebook header. The font is similar to Shania's debut album "Shania Twain". Announcement must be coming soon. Probably tomorrow or Tuesday.
She said that the collaboration with Harry Styles will not be on the album. I don't think there will be any (not Lizzo or Post Malone...). It would probably cost her too much money, or it's a question of rights.

I suspect Shania Twain slipped clues for what will happen next in the music video for "Waking Up Dreaming". These choices cannot be insignificant, it is no coincidence.
Already, as someone noticed, the "Giddy Up, coming soon" on the poster at the start of the video. Either a song or the album.
Next, on the fake magazine covers: Showcase magazine is the October issue, and the Glam magazine that comes after is the December issue.Could it be single/album release months?
I know she said winter for the album, so it could be out between December 23 and March 17, 2023.
I rewatched the video a few times to try to see if there were any Easter eggs that I missed that hint at her upcoming plans
There are numerous references to shows in arenas. I think these may be hinting on her upcoming tour plans.
-On her vanity there's a poster referencing That Don't Impress Me Much and a show in an arena
-There's numerous posters behind her while she's sitting down with the background dancers in the curly blonde wig. One mentions a show in Calgary in September. And there's also a poster with the date July 22.
-One of the magazine covers has a line on it that says "Rock Mania in Australia".
-There's also a poster behind her referencing Rock this Country.

Earlier this month the one and only @shaniatwain invited me out to Vegas to see her “Let’s Go” residency. What an incredible show!!
From writing songs with you to this I’m so grateful for the time in Vegas and I want to extend my gratitude to Shania’s team who did everything to make it an unforgettable experience.
@shaniatwain thanks for the shout out and teasing our song! I can’t wait to write more and for the World to hear the tunes we did with the guys soon! ✌🏽

She said not long ago that she had written enough to make 4 albums, so I hope at least 16 tracks! Twenty would be good (Greatest Hits had 21 tracks so it fits on a CD!)
I think the next single will be promoted live, There's a lot of good music on this album. She's testing this single to see the response, Maybe that's the idea the Cma awards in November with a new single and album announcement, She has a lot too say but her new record label is probably working out the final details how to promote the album. Compared to now She's spent a lot of time in the UK promoting this single. Sales wisest the album will do well, At least in Canada. I mean her single is still in the top 5 out of the top 100 songs being sold. Albums do better than singles usually and I think she's taking a break for a few weeks before Flying to the United States to get rolling on an announcement and promotion. Waking up dreaming is a good song, let's give it time. You have YouTube and you can pretty much listen to anything for free these days. Just because it ain't selling great doesn't mean it ain't a good song.
So it looks like we know 10 songs on Shania's upcoming album:
1. Last Day Of Summer 2. Got It Good 3. You Prick 4. Not Just A Girl 5. Waking Up Dreaming 6. Hardest 7. Queen Of Me 8. Best Friend 9. Giddy Up 10. What You Gonna Do With That Air? - from new BBC Covid article (The song Shania was singing at the end of the "Not Just A Girl" documentary. "What you gonna do, What you gonna do...")
