According to my DirecTV on-screen program guide, Shania will be a guest on "LIVE With Kelly And Ryan" on Thursday, May 27 to promote the return of her "Let's Go!" Las Vegas residency at Zappos Theater. The official announcement will probably come Monday or Tuesday. She might say the new album is on the way (what else is new?) but don't expect her to give a release date. The lead single hasn't even been announced/released yet.

I wonder if Shania will be in the show's New York City studio (some guests are now) or be virtual again from some place. Most guests are still virtual. We'll see.

No, it's a sarcastic saying... "What else is new?". Used to say that a person is not surprised by something someone says. Like "The team lost again." "So what else is new?" In this case, Shania has been saying a new album is coming for almost a year. We've heard it many times.
