Wow. Right after Shania wraps up her residency on September 10 she has to fly to the UK. Taping for "Starstruck" takes place September 13 - 20. The 2023 UK tour that is supposed to happen will probably be announced during that time.

Fancy being in the studio audience for when multi-million selling international superstar Shania Twain joins Olly Murs' ITV entertainment show Starstruck?

The Queen of Country Pop is coming to ITV as the chart-topping That Don’t Impress Me Much singer-songwriter takes her place on the panel for the forthcoming second series of Starstruck. 

Hosted by Troublemaker singer Olly Murs, Starstruck returns to ITV and ITVX screens in 2023.

However, filming is due to start in Hertfordshire later this month, with country legend Shania Twain joining the celebrity panel of Adam Lambert, who sings with Queen, soul singer and West End star Beverley Knight, and comedian Jason Manford. 

Shania Twain replaces actress Sheridan Smith on the Stars In Their Eyes-style ITV show.

In an Instagram video, Shania said: "I am here in Las Vegas and I'm about to get on the stage to do a show. But I wanted to take a quick minute to say that I'm so excited about heading to the UK soon to join the Starstruck panel. It's a real honour."

Filming of the new series of Starstruck is set for ITV's studios at Bovingdon Airfield in Hertfordshire this September and you could be in the audience.

When is Starstruck being filmed and how to be in the audience?

Filming of Starstruck is due to take place at Bovingdon Airfield later this month.

You can apply for free tickets to be there from Lost in TV for the following dates.

• Tuesday, September 13 – doors open at 4.30pm.
• Wednesday, September 14 – doors open at 4.30pm.
• Friday, September 16 – doors open at 4.30pm.
• Saturday, September 17 – doors open at 4:30pm.
• Tuesday, September 20 – doors open at 4:30pm.

It is for ages 16 plus, and the recordings are scheduled to finish by 9pm.

Who is on the new Starstruck judging panel?

International superstar Shania Twain, a five-time Grammy winner, joins ITV’s Starstruck for its second series.

One of the top-selling female country-pop artists of all time, the Canadian singer-songwriter will join the Saturday night entertainment programme, which sees members of the public transformed into music icons.

Her hits include Any Man of Mine, That Don’t Impress Me Much, You’re Still the One, and Man! I Feel Like A Woman!.

Shania will sit on the show’s judging panel alongside returning stars Adam Lambert, Beverley Knight and Jason Manford.

Olly Murs will once again host the show. In an Instagram story posted by Starstruck yesterday (Wednesday, August 31), Olly said: "I'm very proud to announce that season two of Starstruck is coming to a screen near you and next month we start filming it. 

"It's going to be absolutely amazing. I can't wait. We have also got Jason Manford, Beverley Knight, and Adam Lambert but also we have the amazing, wait for it, Shania Twain!

"Yes, she is going to be in the chair and we are very excited. We can't wait for you to watch it."

In July Netflix released Shania Twain: Not Just a Girl, a new, career-spanning documentary on Twain’s life and career with an accompanying Highlights albu

On the news of Shania Twain joining Starstruck, Jason Manford said: "That is so exciting! That impresses me much!

"Can't wait to meet her. Just watched a documentary on Netflix and she seems like a right laugh so I can't wait to meet her.

"What an absolute legend, Shania Twain. Along with Bev and Adam as well and, of course, Olly, it is going to be a wicked series."

Beverley posted on Instagram: "It’s BACK my luvs!  I’m so excited to be back with @ollymurs, @adamlambert and @jasonmanford for Starstruck season 2! This time we’re welcoming the legend that is @shaniatwain to our panel!!!

"I can’t wait for see which icons our sound-a-likes will be taking on in the new series! Bring it!" 

Adam Lambert said: "I just can't wait to join season two of Starstruck. I can't wait to see Olly and Beverley and Jason again, and I'm hearing through the grapevine that we have maybe a country superstar. Shania Twain. Hello! That is amazing. That is crazy."

Katie Rawcliffe, head of entertainment commissioning at ITV, said: “Shania is one of the all-time music greats, not to mention a fabulous personality, so it’s an honour to welcome her to the Starstruck panel alongside Adam, Beverley, Jason and of course Olly at the helm.”

Starstruck launched on ITV in February 2022, with a consolidated 4.7 million tuning into its first episode, making the show one of the biggest new entertainment commissions of the year. 

Produced by Remarkable Entertainment, a Banijay UK company, contestants undergo the ultimate ‘superstar experience’, shedding their normal personas to become global icons, all courtesy of an elite team of stylists overseeing an extraordinary on screen transformation.

Series one featured performers impersonating stars including Harry Styles, Barbra Streisand, Elton John and Cher.

Shania and the other judges performed an opening number together and Shania performed her song ‘waking up dreaming’ on the show. I think this means the series will air soon.

Comedian Jason Manford is on Shania Twain's Starstruck judging panel with Beverley Knight and Adam Lambert - and says he loves hearing her tales of celebrity encounters while making the talent show

Shania Twain’s Starstruck co-stars say she’ll be brilliant at judging the show’s celebrity imitators – because she has met just about every famous face there is.

The queen of country, 57, will join Beverley Knight, 49, Adam Lambert, 41, Jason Manford, 41, and host Olly Murs, 38, for the second series of the ITV singing show that kicks off on Saturday. And she couldn’t help sharing some of her A-list encounters.

Comic Jason revealed: “Shania seems to know everybody, so it’s, ‘Yes, I’ve had tea with Tom Jones’ or ‘I ate cheese with Taylor Swift ’. But it’s brilliant because it’s all genuine… it’s not crowbarring in a name-drop. It’s just her world.”

He added: “She’s such a laugh. She’s just so generous and fun. We’ve got on really well. It feels like a real privilege to get behind this incredible woman and get to know her.”

Shania is just as delighted to be joining the team.

And despite selling more than 100 million albums worldwide and having hits such as Man! I Feel Like A Woman, the Grammy award-winner reckons the show delivered one of the best moments of her career.

Shania told how she was blown away by three women who imitated her on the programme.

She said: “I was really flattered. It was like a career highlight. They put their heart and soul into doing the best Shania they could. It was entirely flattering. I was really touched."

The Canadian loves being in the UK, but has had to tone down her vocabulary.

She said: “We swear more in Canada so I curb that a little bit when I’m over here. But it’s very much a sister culture for me.

“It doesn’t feel foreign in many ways – I’d drink tea in Canada. And there’s a more relaxed sense of humour. I always feel very at home.”

Jason also feels very at home on the show. He said: “There’s times when I’m on the panel and thinking, ‘People are sitting at home going, ‘What’s he doing judging a singing show?’”

But he has been busy brushing up on his musical know-how.

He said: “In between filming, I’ve had meetings to do a new musical. I’ve sung at the Royal Albert Hall recently with a 50-piece orchestra and I was the Hedgehog on The Masked Singer, so I’ve actually been on a singing show. I’ve started to feel worthy of my seat.”

Starstruck starts on Saturday on ITV1 at 8.30pm

Shania Twain wowed Starstruck fans with her real age as she made her debut on the ITV show.

The songstress joined the panel of the show alongside Jason Manford, Beverley Knight and Adam Lambert as a replacement for Sheridan Smith who departed her role last year. Olly Murs hosts the show, which is back for a second series.

Starstruck challenges members of the public to become their favourite musical icon. At any one time, three people sing with one another pretending to be their favourite star in a bid to make it through to the final of the entertainment programme.

As Shania made her debut tonight, fans of the show rushed to social media to praise the singing superstar and were left stunned by her true age as they took to Twitter to share their excitement at her joining the show.

"How the f*** is Shania Twain 57?? #Starstruck," one wrote, as another added: "Let’s not lie, Shania Twain doesn’t age & her talent is just timeless #Starstruck." A third shared: "So glad it's back. Love it. And great to see Shania Twain joining the panel. Fantastic!" 

A fourth added: "Shania Twain is 57. She looks 40! #Starstruck," as a fifth penned: "Shania Twain is 57! WHAT! Beautiful woman. #starstruck. A sixth shared: "I’m so happy #Starstruck is on for a new series tonight especially with Shania being one of the judges."

Shania bagged the role when Sheridan Smith stepped down from the show.

She just performed! It wasn’t the full song but I’m almost positive it was 100 % live and she smashed it!

The great part is she is still a world class performer who makes you SEE the music when she’s on her A game. We all know she lip-synced every note of that Coachella performance with Harry but that performance was incredible. I love that Shania and I also love People’s Choice Shania… but this Shania with zero energy and voice ain’t it.

I may be wrong, but I think it was live with some pre recorded backup second voice. She has even made a mistake with the lyrics in one part of the song lolol...
