Ā That's true, I've noticed that too! But she looks amazing
Didnāt know she had a procedure for implants in her vocal cords!
Yeah, I believe she said it happened in 2018. There was an interview somewhere where she talked about it but I don't remember where it was. All I remember is that she had to wear a scarf around her neck because she had scars from it for a while.

Shania Twain reveals problem in country music on Absolute Radio Country
On The Radio | October 3, 2022
Shania Twain talked about problems facing the country music industry when she appeared on Absolute Radio Country.
The country pop artist was on Baylen Leonardās show to talk about her upcoming album when she also brought up the problems in the genre.
Baylen asked the star to clear up the rumours of an upcoming album to which Shania revealed: āOh no Iāve got a new album coming, Iām just so excited about the music.
āI worked with several producers, I was so inspired through all of this, and I wrote a ton of songs, I was very productive in the song writing during that two-year covid isolation.
āSo, once I got into the studio with producers it was just like wow! Omg! This is finally happening, and all that excitement went into the album. So yeah, new album coming and a tour absolutely, Iām planning a tour, but the album is right around the corner.ā
The country star also talked with Baylen about the slow progress in the country music industry for women. She doesnāt think that things are getting better and acknowledged that sheās been very lucky ending up as a multi genre artist.
āI didnāt end up remaining limitedā¦I had to work triple hard of course, you know, to make that happen too, because now youāve got to start travelling all around the world,ā Shania told Baylen. āYou have to write with more diversity in your music, I had to go off to all of those places in my mind, and physically and sonically so it was a lot of work.
āI mean upward 3 albums, you know three different sounds all togetherā¦itās just a lot of extra work, but I wouldnāt be being myself if I wasnātā¦being hybrid artist that I am.ā
Talking about the lack of opportunities in county music for women, Shania explained: āBut when I look at country music and female artists in country music, they are not getting the opportunities and I think, and Iāve always thought thisā¦even when I first came out in country, I would say to everyone around me including radio.ā
She told Baylen that she would go to the radio stations and tell them that they were underestimating their audience.
āIām appealing to the audience with my person, with my inner self,ā she said. āIām telling stories to people that I think may understand and I think they need the opportunity to hear it and decide for themselves whether they relate or not.
āSo, the industry underestimated the relatability and I think that is happening again now, I think the industry is underestimating the relatability to females, what females have to say, to the female voice and it bugs me, really if Iām just being really frank.
āI donāt know what to do, Iām not in that predicament anymore but I would love to help them fight their battle somehow, I just, I donāt know, maybe they have to learn how to like fishing I donāt knowā¦I donāt know how to get them to fit in,ā she added.

Shania Twain interview: Country icon reflects on 25 years of 'Come on Over' ahead of new album
By Tom Eames | Smooth Country | October 20, 2022Ā
Shania Twain is undoubtedly one of the greatest country music artists of all time.
By the late 1990s, Shania had become one of the world's best-selling artists across all genres, thanks to her behemoth album Come on Over.
25 years later, and she's back with her new single 'Waking Up Dreaming', taken from her upcoming sixth studio album.
Smooth Country's Eamonn Kelly caught up with Shania about the new record, her recent Netflix documentary, future plans and reflecting on her stellar career so far.
Talking about how she handled her career when she was younger and made sure she stuck to her guns, she explained: "I think a lot of that is attributed to the fact that I was already 30 when I had my first hit.
"I was in my late 20s already when I was in that realā¦ you know, first videos; my first recording contract. I had the maturity to have genuine conviction behind how I was seeing things, because I had already been in the industry for so long. I had a lot of experience as far as what I saw for myself.
"There was no guessing around. No time to mess around. I literally didnāt have the time to mess around. Again, I had the maturity to demand a certain respect that is more difficult to demand when youāre 20 or youāre a teenager.
"I think a lot of it was that. And it was also very 'do or die' for me. I didnāt have parents anymore. They died when I was younger. So there was nothing to go back to. I had no money. I had already decided that music was my life, so I didnāt go to college.
"I really didnāt have a backup plan. After my parents died, I spent several years keeping my family together, and trying to make a living, and just feeding my teenage siblings. So I didnāt get back to pursuing a recording career, like I said, until later in my 20s.
"And now Iām like, 'Thereās no more time to waste. I cannot fool around. This is a āno joke, no playā scenario, and itās got to work.' Like you said, it just had to work."
