Yes but it's the "Queen of Me" Tour. In less than two months we went from 7 songs to 4. By the end of the Tour only WUD will be included. I agree with ROTR, strange choice, I'd have put We Got Something They Don't.

“We got something they don’t” is probably my favourite uptempo song from Now. it’s a pity she never performed the song live. it was picked as the third country single and never promoted.

CONCERT REVIEW: Shania Twain still reigns

A surprise off-stage start, pink hair and blast off into one of the hits that made her an international sensation.

Country music icon Shania Twain brought the crowd to their feet – and kept them on their toes – with a flashy show before a packed house at Budweiser Gardens Wednesday evening.

Kicking off the show from a mobile platform on the floor with her new single Waking up Dreaming, the 57-year-old Twain commanded attention with powerful vocals and a whirlwind of special effects, props and surprises.

She rose through the floor of the stage for her second number, her chart-topping hit Up.

The London show is one of 49 stops on Twain’s Queen of Me tour, which launched April 28.

The album of the same name is Twain’s sixth full-length studio record and her first since 2017.

Twain, who grew up in Timmins, said she was finally home in Ontario, launching into unplugged, acoustic intros to Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under? and Still the One.

Wednesday’s high-energy show, which drew a diverse crowd from 20-somethings to senior citizens, was a blend of Twain’s latest singles, including the dance-inspired hit Giddy Up from her latest album, and the standards that made her a global superstar.

Twain delivered an action-packed set list with an emphasis on her long roster of chart-topping hits, including Honey I’m Home and Any Man of Mine.

Country singer-songwriter Lindsay Ell, a Calgary native, kicked off the evening with gusto and guitar solos, even breaking into a sample of Lizzo’s hit About Damn Time to get the audience going.

The 34-year-old, who has been living in Nashville, Tenn. for the last 12 years, said it was humbling to open for Twain, an icon whose hits she used to sing to herself in the mirror as a kid.

Twain’s London tour stop was announced in late October. She’s following up Wednesday’s show in London with concerts at Toronto’s Budweiser Stage on Friday and Saturday.

Review: A confident, ageless Shania Twain is still the one for Toronto fans

Twain delivered a performance that was more hit than miss and divided between eye-popping Vegas glitz and intimate, living room hang.

Probably the last thing Shania Twain expected while hosting her “Queen of Me” party for 16,000-plus fans was to participate in a gender reveal.

Yet, midway through her two-hour set of the first of two weekend shows at Budweiser Stage, Twain read a sign being held aloft by a woman from Newfoundland making the daring request in the hopes that her idol would notice.

She noticed, all right, and invited the trembling woman onstage in what could only be a pinch-me moment for the expectant mother.

“So what do I gotta do?” the Windsor-born superstar asked, and was handed the sealed results of an ultrasound. Twain kept up the suspense a few seconds after opening the envelope, serenading the woman with a few a cappella couplets of “From This Moment On” and sneaking in the lyric that it was a baby girl that the future mother of two was carrying.

“That one of the most emotional moments I’ve ever had onstage,” Twain said afterwards — and it was one of many surprises — including an appearance by Toronto Maple Leafs right winger Mitch Marner and his fiancée, Stephanie, who cut a rug to an abridged rendition of “Up” and a presentation of a plaque by Twain’s record company to commemorate her status as the bestselling female country artist — that would make the night a memorable one for the veteran Grammy and Juno winner.

Another surprise: that despite some 2018 vocal surgery and worries expressed by the singer that her voice has considerably changed, there was no discernable difference between the Shania of old and the 2023 model. At 57 seemingly going on 30, the ageless and glamorous beauty — in a red wig and a dress slit up to her right thigh — sang the majority of her 19-song set confidently as she fronted a six-piece band that included a guitarist/fiddler and two male backing singers/dancers.

The only blemishes were when she ventured into a low, quiet register and was drowned out by the band, but those are technical equipment misfires: overall, Twain delivered a performance that was more hit than miss and divided between eye-popping Vegas glitz and intimate, living room hang.

The crowd response for the majority of the show ranged from ecstatic and feverish to, in one particular spot, indifference though, heading into the concert, the odds were clearly in Twain’s favour.

With the inestimable collaborative input of her ex, production mastermind “Mutt” Lange — who wasn’t mentioned — the duo revolutionized country music with a fashionable upgrade that also did wonders for exposing it globally and establishing Twain as a crossover superstar in both pop and rock.

Forging snappy, exceptional melodies into some of the happiest, most upbeat love songs in existence and empowering women in the process, Twain’s intriguing rags-to-riches back story and radiant personal warmth forged a trail-blazing path that has imbued Canadians with a sense of national pride as much as ownership.

So “Team Shania” responded to such hits as “You’re Still the One” and especially “Any Man of Mine” with full-throated celebratory glee, and totally lost it with the encore anthem finales of “That Don’t Impress Me Much” and “Man! I Feel Like a Woman.”

“Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under?” “Rock This Country!” and “(If You’re Not in It for Love) I’m Outta Here!” lived up to their exclamation marks in high energy fun, and the shuffle rhythms of “Forever and For Always” seemed a little more vibrant than the recorded version.

There were also opulent visuals — there was a lighthearted, although inexplicable theme involving aliens and saloon destruction that played on the backdrop of the two-tiered stage throughout the evening — and Twain had the stage transformed into a nightclub of sorts, with fans gathered around tables as she waltzed with one of her backing singers.

But the powerful impact of the splendid material from the Twain/Lange albums “The Woman in Me,” “Come On Over” and “Up” revealed the Achilles heel of the singer/songwriter’s current set: her newer material.

Following their personal and creative divorce, Lange’s spectre is notably present on the songs he didn’t co-write: “Giddy Up!” and the disco-driven “Number One” are passable, but not memorable.

The most telling moment was ending the main set on “Queen of Me,” the title track from her latest, with a thud: if that song was supposedly the rousing finale to whet appetites for the encore, it failed miserably. It didn’t seem to register with the crowd that the main body of the show was over.

Twain should either switch the order of the set to perform it earlier or replace it with one of the bona fide hits she left out,.

You can’t substitute quality for quantity and expect people not to notice.

This quibble aside, Twain — who next performs in Toronto at Scotiabank Arena on Oct. 22 — declared near the beginning of the show that she was having a lot of fun these days.

“I’m living my best life!”

With the enthusiastic response that the adoring audience pledged to their version of musical royalty, you’d better believe it.

Although the show opener, Calgary’s Lindsay Ell, played a disjointed set that seemed to have a lot of stop-and-start to it, she did pull off a first: she used a vocoder for a couple of lines of a song.

But what sets her apart from other country ingenues is that she comes from the Suzy Bogguss school of guitar heroes, albeit more rock-driven: the highlight of her show occurred when she flopped on her back, head dangling over the edge of the stage so she viewed the crowd from an upside-down vantage point and proceeded to rip an electric guitar solo of which Jimi Hendrix would be proud.

Maybe, instead of hosting “Canada’s Got Talent,” Ell should enter the competition: she’d have a real shot at winning it.

Taylor Swift has just announced she is coming to Australia in February so if Shania comes around the same time you would think she should announce the dates soon. Also, in February on Channel 7s Sunrise she was interviewed, and she was asked if she will be touring Australia. She replied I love Australia and I will be back. Here's hoping.

I'd like to know how much money each show is pulling in, I checked encyclopedia on Google I see sold out shows just not how much is being made per show. I wonder if this will be Shanias highest grossing tour to date? I know she has had bigger tours from I believe come on over and up but money wise I'd say you make more today touring. Twain admitted, “It’s kind of cool. You know, being with other celebrities, there is a commonality or a parallel in our lives, obviously, that we, you know, the similar struggles of balancing work and art and just all the obvious things that we know.

I was there last night and this mostly matches my opinion too. However, I thought she sounded pretty good. No, it wasn’t her pre-Lyme’s Disease voice, but it was solid. I don’t think there was a single point where she sounded bad.

I don’t need to read Reddit because I attended the show. I know my experience, those who went with me and those around me . I’ve also seen the recent professional reviews who’ve said the negative random online reviews (probably many of whom are just haters or didn’t even attend the show) make no sense.
At any rate, I am done debating this. I truly think Shania put on a great show, and I am incredibly proud of her for overcoming so much and still able to do a great job entertaining her fans. I hope she isn’t one to read ”fan” message boards; she isn’t embarrassing but some of the comments posted here are.

Why are you highlighting negative stuff but not positive?

“She was able to do that by the strength of the songs, her somewhat diminished but still powerful vocals and her general presence.”

I was close to front row in Charlotte. It was clear she was not lip synching for a majority of the show.

Canadian country superstar Shania Twain will headline opening night at Ottawa Bluesfest Thursday as the summertime festival kicks off its 'Summer of 23' edition.

Executive Director Mark Monahan previously told CTV News Ottawa that the "Queen of Country Pop" was booked for opening night because her show requires a few days of set-up time.

"It really needed to be at the front end of the festival in order to handle all of her production," Monahan said.

Foo Fighters, Mumford & Sons, Weezer, Death Cab for Cutie, Robert Plant & Alison Krauss along with rapper Pitbull are among the acts playing the main stage over the course of the festival which runs from Thursday, July 6 to Sunday, July 9 and from Wednesday, July 12 to Sunday, July 16.

The festival kicks off with its one mainstage country night this year, with an all Canadian lineup, no less. Local artist and Bluesfest veteran Brea Lawrenson will launch the festivities with a selection from her ever-growing catalogue, which includes last year’s “Only The Whiskey.” Once you get hooked on her emotive voice, catch her performing around the area throughout the summer, including Mississippi Mills, Brockville, and Orleans.

Originally, organizers had scheduled Orville Peck to perform, but as the artist had to cancel his summer tour for health reasons, Bluesfest pulled a rabbit out of a hat in adding award-winner Lindsay Ell, who just happened to be on tour with Shania. If the name rings a bell, Lindsay not only dominates radio airwaves with her own hits and collabs with Brantley Gilbert and Cheat Codes, but in her spare time hosts Canada’s Got Talent.

Closing country night is none other than the Canadian Queen of Country herself, Shania Twain. The record-breaking singer recently launched her “Queen of Me” tour after a successful residency in Las Vegas, and will make her first stop in the capital in five years. Having paved the way for future country-pop stars, the crowd for Shania should be an interesting mix of fans from her early breakout in the ’90s to today.
