Shania Twain Announces New Album & Tour

"I want to carry a clear message, particularly as a woman, to always remember my power," she said of the upcoming release.

Shania Twain will launch 2023 with a massive tour and a new album! The pop-country queen’s sixth studio album, Queen of Me — the first the singer-songwriter has released in six years — will arrive Feb. 3. The album marks her first recording under her new label deal with Republic Nashville.

Twain has released the lead single from the project with “Waking Up Dreaming,” and the new song “Last Day of Summer.”

“These days, I’m feeling very comfortable in my own skin – and I think this album reflects that musically,” Twain said via Instagram. “Life is short and I want to be uplifted, colorful, unapologetic and empowered. I want to carry a clear message, particularly as a woman, to always remember my power and I hope the songs are a reminder to you, of that same power inside you!” 

Additionally, she’s taking her signature phrase “Let’s Go, Girls!” literally as she prepares to launch her upcoming 2023 tour, which will span approximately 50 concert dates. Her Queen of Me tour will launch April 28 in Spokane, Wash., and will cross the United States and Canada, and include several U.K. dates. Her opening acts on select dates will include “My Truck” hitmaker Breland, as well as several top-tier female singer-songwriters: Lindsay Ell, Hailey Whitters, Kelsea Ballerini, Mickey Guyton, Priscilla Block and Robyn Ottolini.

Tickets for Twain’s Queen of Me tour will go on sale starting Nov. 4 at 10 a.m. at Ticketmaster.

In Canada, we didn’t need a presale code. I just wen on the Ticketmaster app and joined the line…. Although you do need an American Express card for the Front of the Line tickets (in Canada, anyways)

Oh wow, interesting. I was finally able to get mine. I see in the arena setting, there is a second stage towards the back of the floor. Managed to get front row aisle next to that stage. I was sad to see items towards the front cost $700 plus...

Maybe an unpopular opinion but I would like to see her perform "Don't!" from 'Greatest Hits' at least once. Her voice was already changing by the point she recorded it so she's probably more capable to singing that than some of her other songs.

I'm not a huge fan of Don't but I think it would be great for her to perform some of her songs that weren't huge smash hits.

Maybe You've Got A Way, Thank You Baby, She's Not a Pretty Face.

I just really hope that Forever and For Always is on her set list. I was really disappointed when she didn't bring it back in the 2021 and 2022 Vegas shows. It's my favorite song of hers.

For me, I would like her to sing everything live so that she stops forcing herself to put on old songs that no longer correspond to her vocally (or completely revised like Any Man of Mine for GMA in 2020) ; so not From this moment, nor AMOM, nor Whose Bed. Let her stop these old women who are always the same, and above all "You win my love": is it a gift to her ex or what? (he must receive money each time). MIFLAW will have to do it acoustic since she has trouble singing it and it would cause a scandal if she took it off.

I don't think she is really capable of doing a full show live even if the songs are modified and done acoustically.

Her acoustic set in the Let's Go show was still 90% playback even though the keys of the songs was lowered to better suit her voice. The first verse was live but the rest was lipped. You're Still the One's original key is D#, it was dropped to D from the Still the One residency to the Now Tour (2012-2018) and she performed it in C for the Let's Go shows.

She has nothing left to prove and all that matters is that Shania and the fans are having fun. I'd rather have her use a backing track then struggle through a live set that doesn't even include some of her biggest hits.

I will say though that some of her backing tracks are questionable. They sound really robotic and autotuned and in MIFLAW the ending is identical to the original album version. I don't know why she does this it's so obvious.

It seems the sales goes quite well. It’s quite hard for me to get two tickets of her concert in London uk. And I saw quite a lot of seats of her US concerts are unavailable. Or just the Live Nation holds the tickets?

The promo in the UK paid off I guess. Shania is doing another show at Glasgow on September 14th 2023. All other European/UK dates are kind of sold out!
