I agree Tommy, Giddy up didn't do to bad. It was well liked. So you make a valid point why hasn't there been a third single with a music video? Personally this album has some real good songs on it why she hasn't promoted any of the singles surprised me. She promoted Swinging with my eyes closed and that wasn't a hit at all. AC radio is still a charting radio station and why she is choosing not to send out another single is surprising. Best friend or Queen of me sound like Adult Contemporary kinda radio play. Done and Dusted could suit country radio as well. Wanted man one of my favorite songs since up should have been the first single and why she choose to not include it in the original release did not make any sense at all. I believe wanted man could have been a hit had she of released it instead of waking up dreaming. I love waking up dreaming just I dunno there was always something about wanted man I loved since hearing it on tiktok. Classy Shania!

It’s so sad that she’s not releasing other singles. There are so many great songs on this album…I know it s nearly impossible to increase album sales in US or Canada but QOM sold pretty well in UK and she’s having radio support with her Anne Marie collaboration. A new single might try to revive the album sales in UK.

So much better than Malibu released.

With extra tracks , remixes and Spotify session they could release a really good deluxe edition on Xmas.

I hope we get at least one more single when the tour arrives Europe.

I don't like all these "Giddy Up!" remixes at all, even though these three are a little better than the Malibu one.

I hope she will release a Christmas Album by the end of the year. We know for sure there's a Christmas Song produced by David Baron during the summer of 2020.

I do wish Shania would be more prolific when it comes to recording albums these days. Taylor Swift tours and releases albums at the same time and selfishly I wish Shania did the same to catch up on all those lost years.

Well this time we’ve got 16 tracks plus some duets between now and Queen album and some mixes , not too bad , the problem is taking so many years between albums, she always takes so much time

I bet she will get back to Vegas in 2025. She said the new "You're Still The One" remix got her wanting to get back there to party and it could be a hint.
Here's my guess:
2024 she will set up her new Residency.
December 2024-December 2026 Las Vegas.
2027 New album recording process.
2028 New album release.
5 years since "Queen of Me". I won't be surprised if things will turn up this way. Personally I think she should record more and more albums while her voice still support her at least in the studio environment. We'll see...

Holler's Songs of the Year 2023

It’s been another incredible year for new music. Every week we fill up our Best New Country playlist with only the very finest releases in country and Americana, and it brings us so much joy.

This year we had so many songs to choose from, but we’ve managed to whittle it down to just 25 of our favourites.

So, here are the long ones, the right ones and wrong ones, the silly, the serious and the sad. Here are the songs that got stuck in our heads for days on end - even when we didn’t want them to – and the songs that slowly found their way onto our playlists and into our hearts.

We don’t always get to choose what we fall in love with. Sometimes the songs we love choose us. So along with the obvious, we’ve got the unlikely. Songs that we found ourselves singing merrily along to even when the odds were against them. Songs that we’re not embarrassed to love, because you should never be embarrassed to love something.

We’ll probably end up listening to these 25 songs for many years to come, but they will always take us back to 2023. Because that’s just what songs do.

A world tour and a new album made sure Shania name was on everyone's minds this year! Nothing made a hard day in Holler HQ better than whacking this on the hi-fi and slapping our thighs while riding imaginary horses around our desks. Sometimes a song just needs to make you happy, this one does.

Older Classics Dominate 2023's Top Canadian Albums Year-End Chart

They weren't released this year, but albums by Drake, The Tragically Hip, Shania Twain and more were in heavy rotation this year.

The Billboard Canadian Albums chart measures the most popular albums in Canada each week. The 2023 year-end Top Canadian Albums chart is out.The year-end chart takes into account chart performance throughout the year, with longevity sometimes counting for more than high placement. (Read more about how the year-end charts are calculated here.)

The top five is dominated by the biggest albums of the year: Morgan Wallen's One Thing At A Time at No. 1 and his Dangerous: The Double Album at No. 5. Taylor Swift's Midnights comes in at No. 2 while SZA's SOS is at No. 3. Drake is the only Canadian artist in the top five, coming in at No. 4 with Her Loss, his 2023 collaborative album with 21 Savage. (Scarborough-born artist The Weeknd is also in the top 10, coming in at No. 7 with his 2021 greatest hits album The Highlights.)

Plenty of rising Canadian artists also released big albums this year, from Charlotte Cardin's 99 Nightsto The Beaches' Blame My Ex, to Karan Aujla & Ikky's Making Memories, but many of the highest-charting albums on the year-end Top Canadian Albums chart came out before 2023. That didn't hinder their popularity or longevity. Canadians kept these major artists on the charts this year, long after their records came out.

Shania Twain, Greatest Hits

Shania Twain had a comeback in 2023 with the album Queen of Me, which landed at No. 189 on the year-end chart, but Canadians were still buying and streaming her classics the most. The Queen of Country Pop landed at No. 66 on the 2023 Top Canadian Albums with Greatest Hits, her 2004 compilation which features all her No. 1 Hot Country Hits (and karaoke go-to-songs) like 1995's "Any Man Of Mine" 1997's "You're Still The One."

I still think the Queen Of Me album was much better than NOW. I am not sure why Shania didn't promote it much in the U.S. and Canada. The problem is at her age even if she did, would radio have gotten on board? Who knows.

The UK’s Official Top 40 best-selling CDs of 2023

Take That’s This Life has been confirmed as the biggest CD of 2023.

The group’s ninth studio album shifted 127,000 copies last year following its November release. In its first week it became their ninth Number 1 album, and earned the biggest opening week for a British album in the whole of 2023.

Coming in strong at Number 2 is 1989 (Taylor’s Version) by Taylor Swift, with 98.9k CD sales, closely followed by The Rolling Stones’ Hackney Diamonds at Number 3 with 98.7k CDs.

The full Top 40 is jam-packed with chart-topping new releases from Lewis Capaldi, P!nk, Ed Sheeran, Foo Fighters, Metallica, Kylie Minogue and Lana Del Rey and lots more.

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds also feature at Number 11 with Council Skies, while Andre Rieu & the Johann Strauss Orchestra land at 16 with Jewels of Romance, and Cliff Richard’s Cliff with Strings – My Kinda Life lands at 18.

Seven compilations feature in the Top 40 biggest CDs of 2023, including six NOW music collections, two of which feature in the Top 10; Now That’s What I Call Music 115 (7) and Now That’s What I Call Music 114 (8).

Not bad for the UK ! In France, sales of the album Queen Of Me are ridiculous. The album does not appear in any ranking (Top 200 2023)). Best position: 96 the week of February 10 (new entry, then definitive exit from the ranking) (It was 56 with Now). Shania will probably never do a concert in France...

Well, the promo for the album has been ridiculous in most countries, US and Canada included.

We'll see what happens when a new album is released.

The promotion for Queen Of Me wasn't really any better than NOW. Plus Shania even has a new record label (Republic). So I don't expect anything different promotion-wise for the next album.
