My name is Arturs, and I live in a small country in Europe called Latvia. I heard about Shania first in 2002 when I was 15 years old. Back then there was this popular German TV channel called VIVA, and they started to play "I`m Gonna Getcha Good!" in September or October of 2002, before the release of "Up!"
It became my favorite song, and the video looked so out of the future and something I had never seen before. I was wondering who this new and beautiful artist was. A couple months later, "Ka-ching!" came out, and I loved the music video for it so much! It was such a hit in Europe! Then "Forever and for Always" was released, and once again, I loved it so much. When "Thank You Baby!" (For Makin` Someday Come So Soon) was released, Up! hit number 1 on the German charts more than half a year after its release. I bought "Up!" and listened to it day to day, and soon all my friends knew that Shania was my favorite artist.
At that moment, I still did not know about "Come on Over," "The Woman in Me," or "Shania Twain" albums. When "Greatest Hits" came out, I also bought all her previous albums and, I guess, became one of her biggest fans ever!
