With Shania’s 1997 single Honey I’m Home opening Side B and featuring on the LP’s artwork, Shania says, “Honey I’m Home seemed fitting for this album cover. I love being in the UK so much and this huge run of festivals feels like a homecoming for me – what an honour and a joy!”
The vinyl release of Greatest Hits Summer Tour Edition 2024 on 28 June comes just days ahead of Shania’s highly anticipated performance on the iconic Glastonbury Pyramid Stage in the ‘Legends’ slot.
Shania Twain delighted fans this week when she announced a new collector’s edition of one of her most popular compilations. The superstar revealed a new cover for her Greatest Hits set is on the way, and while that’s exciting for longtime lovers of the country musician’s work, it comes with a cover that’s raising some eyebrows.
The artwork that accompanies Honey, I’m Home–the new title for Twain’s forthcoming special edition compilation–looks very familiar. From the moment the country artist unveiled the project, people began making comparisons to Lana Del Rey’s 2012 debut album Born to Die.
The two titles don’t share much in common in terms of content, but on the outside, they look very much like one another. The font, the color of the text, the size of the name, the blue sky that backs the photo of the musician, and the pose are only some of the many similarities that are hard to ignore.
It makes sense that someone would want to imitate Del Rey’s visual, as Born to Die is one of the most successful albums of the last decade. The set has become something of an iconic release, and it's recognizable perhaps just as much for its cover and what that has come to mean to so many people as it is for the music featured on it.
This greatest hits stuff needs to stop. It is boring. 2 albums out only in almost 20 years. If I had her fame and money I'd be making a lot of music even if it wasn't a hit. I really miss the Mutt Lange era
Fun fact! The artwork for my Greatest Hits collector’s vinyl is a behind-the-scenes polaroid that @marcbouwer captured on the set of ‘That Don’t Impress Me Much’ out in the Mojave desert. We were out there for 2 days in total and decided to camp out overnight and enjoy the stars... and some campfire popcorn! 😋 This leopard print oufit is an iconic look and in recent months, I’ve really enjoyed bringing it out of the wardrobe and back on the road with me... I’ve no doubt you’ll see it on my upcoming UK & Ireland tour 😉 You can pre-order The Greatest Hits - Summer Tour Edition 2024 - Honey, I’m Home collector’s vinyl now:shaniatwain.lnk.to/HoneyImHomeVinylOut June 28th.
Better than Taylor’s f “stolen” masters 🤣 and reworking her originals for no reason.
Nah, I disagree, there is a reason behind her re-recording her originals and plus each rerecorded album includes new music so there are actually incentives to purchase them. I especially love the rerecording of her album music as I don't enjoy her teenage sounding voices on her earlier stuff. Don't hate on Taylor for no reason. The girl works hard, although I will say she is a bit of a cash cow, although, people are buying in to it so, I guess that's not her fault. Shania speaks praises on Taylor all the time.

Agree to disagree. I used to have a lot of respect for Taylor. that has sadly gone downhill.

But like why? because she's taking control/ownership of HER music? Die hard Shania fan here, but I'm not giving her my money for something I already have just because she slaps on a different cover and removes half the song. I don't understand how you can say it's better than Taylor's f "stolen" masters. And you're the one that brought Taylor in a message board that has zero to do with her.
