Let’s go, girls! Shania Twain is headlining the Rogers Festival at the Final Concert Series in Edmonton in honor of the Stanley Cup Final this week alongside Canadian rock band Our Lady Peace.
As announced Monday (June 10), the two free concerts presented by Rogers in partnership with the NHL will begin with Our Lady Peace performing before Game 3 on Thursday (June 13). The “You’re Still the One” singer will take the stage before Game 4 on Saturday (June 15).
Both performances will begin at 4 p.m. MT in Scotiabank Fan Park outside Rogers Place before the 6 p.m. MT games, no tickets required. They’ll serve to hype up hockey fans as the Florida Panthers and Edmonton Oilers go head to head for the best-of-seven in pursuit of the Stanley Cup.
The news comes just hours ahead of Game 2, which will kick off at 8 p.m. ET. The first game — which was attended by Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater — took place Saturday (June 8) in Florida and ended with the Panthers triumphing 3-0 against the Oilers.
Before Game 1, The Kid LAROI performed as part of a similar concert series presented by BODYARMOR. DJ Khaled is set to deliver a musical showcase as part of the same series prior to Game 2.
Twain is fresh off the release of a new single with a surprising new collaborator, Yung Gravy. Titled “White Claw,” the track dropped Friday (June 7). In August, she’ll return to the Bakkt Theater in Las Vegas for a second round of her Come On Over Residency in Sin City.
Our Lady Peace hasn’t released an album since 2022’s Spiritual Machines II. According to a release, however, the “Superman’s Dead” quartet is set to release new music at some point this year.
Shania Twain, Our Lady Peace headline Rogers Festival concerts
The NHL and Rogers have announced Shania Twain and Our Lady Peace will be heading the Rogers Festival concert series in celebration of the 2024 Stanley Cup finals. Laura Krause has more from the Ice District.
Scotiabank Fan Park outside Rogers Place ... Here is a closer view of the stage for the pregame concerts in Edmonton. Today, Our Lady Peace. Saturday, Shania.
Portions of each performance will be featured in coverage of the Stanley Cup Final game broadcasts, which begin at 6 p.m. MT / 8 p.m. ET on Sportsnet, Sportsnet+, TVA Sports and CBC in Canada and ABC, ESPN+ and ESPN Deportes in the U.S.
I just watched the pregame broadcast for tonight's game and they only showed (on tape) 10 seconds of the Our Lady Peace concert from earlier. I expect it will be the same for Shania on Saturday.

Giddy Up! Honey, I'm Home You're Still The One Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under Any Man Of Mine That Don't Impress Me Much Man! I Feel Like A Woman!
What an electric atmosphere inside and outside of @rogers place tonight! I had a blast performing for y’all and then getting to cheer on the boys - Okay, so you’re the @edmontonoilers? that DOES impress me much!! #StanleyCup What a rush! Now I really gotta go and get some sleep 😂
I love Brent and love him as a new music director. I love that the songs for the longer festivals are going to be awesome. He is doing much better than Cory in my opinion. I think Shania needed to change things up and find someone who needed to help her make things new and refreshing. Can't wait to see Shania and her band in Newfoundland

I completely agree. It's a huge turnaround from the QoM tour. I think her old team got lazy and was just going through the motions. Brent's mixing and production sounds closer to the original studio production on a lot of the songs. I also love that she singing almost 100% live. Her voice sounds so much better than it did even a year ago - so much more power and control.
There are some things I would prefer like playback on the chorus of MIFLAW so she's not singing a weird lower harmony but at least now it sounds balanced and doesn't sound like they cut her mic for the chorus like it did during the QoM tour.
Edmonton won again tonight (Game 5 in Florida). Now the Oilers trail the series 3-2 and go back to Edmonton for Game 6 on Friday night to try and tie up the series. I wonder if Shania will be there again. She seems to have brought the Oilers good luck!
