I've heard her say it in several interviews over the years. I actually think that was the biggest reason Twitter had issues with her hosting at the ACMs. Because she has to focus so hard on the reading, there's a visible shift in her energy when switching from the teleprompter to an ad-lib, and when switching back there's the same energy shift plus a small hiccup in her rhythm/timing as she finds her spot.

I also wonder why she no longer wears glasses when reading. Is it vanity? One assumes that at her age, she needs them to read.

Lasik or contacts seem just as likely.

In some videos (writing in studio), you can see her wearing glasses, so I don't think she's had surgery.

Here’s some behind-the-scenes from the day we shot the artwork for ‘Little Miss Twain - The Places I’ll Go’. I really wanted Clifford in the photo, partly because I thought the brown of his coat with my outfit would look really beautiful together... but also because just look at him!! 😍 Isn’t he stunning? He’s this gorgeous copper penny colour, such a beauty. When we were shooting, I didn’t realise that my son’s dog Luna was behind us clearly making sure she was part of the family photo 😂 I love that she snuck in into the shot. This album is so personal to me so it felt right that this photo would be the album cover.
