Shania Twain announces exclusive Irish date at Limerick’s Thomond Park

Limerick is set to welcome country-pop royalty as Shania Twain announces a massive headline show at Thomond Park Stadium for July 7th, 2026.

The performance will be the five-time GRAMMY winner’s only Irish date of the year, marking a major coup for the Treaty City’s summer concert lineup.

With over 100 million albums sold worldwide, Twain remains the top-selling female country-pop artist in history.

The "Man! I Feel Like A Woman!" singer is currently working on her seventh studio album, due for release later in 2026, and fans can expect a mix of new material alongside global hits like "That Don’t Impress Me Much" and "You’re Still the One."

The show, which is subject to license, follows Twain’s recent high-profile performances at Glastonbury and her upcoming guest appearances at Harry Styles' sold-out Wembley residency.

Tickets for the Thomond Park show are priced at €79.25 and €99.25 (including booking fee). General sale begins at 9am on Friday, March 13th, via Ticketmaster.

However, eager fans can access the MCD presale starting Wednesday, March 11th, at 9am.

Mastercard cardholders also have special access to a presale during the same window via priceless.com.

Aside from her musical legacy, Twain continues her philanthropic work through the Shania Twain Foundation, which focuses on food insecurity, youth empowerment, and mental health resources.

Shania Twain has announced that she will be joined by British singer-songwriter Sophie Ellis-Bextor at Thomond Park Stadium on July 7, 2026.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor - an acclaimed pop star - is behind the hits ‘Murder on the Dancefloor’, ‘Take Me Home’, ‘Get Over You’ and ‘Heartbreak (Make Me a Dancer).

Tickets for the concert are available on Ticketmaster, and are going for €79.25 and €99.25 a pop. A booking fee and a service charge is also added to the ticket price.

Shania Twain is a five-time GRAMMY winner, and remains the best-selling female country pop artist of all time.

For avid concert-goers, Pitbull will be playing Thomond Stadium the day after Shania and Sophie on July 8.

Thomond Stadium is the sole Irish date that Shania Twain has announced.

Winner of Late Late Opening Act will support Shania Twain in Limerick

The winner of the upcoming Late Late Show search for Ireland's newest country music star will win the chance to be the support act for Shania Twain at her Thomond Park Stadium gig Limerick this July.

Five acts for the Late Late Show Opening Act competition are set to be announced from Monday and will compete to become the first winner of new contest, which airs on Friday 17 April on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player.

The finalists will perform their favourite country song in front of a studio audience and a judging panel, including Una Healy, and the overall winner will be decided by media and industry juries as well as a public vote.

In a video message aired on tonight's Late Late Show, Shania Twain announced the competition prize, saying, "I’ll be back performing my headline show in Ireland this summer. I’m so excited to announce that the winner of The Late Late Show Opening Act will be my opening act for my only Irish date in Limerick on July 7."

Late Late Show host Patrick Kielty said, "Shania Twain is a true country icon and we’re so excited she’s agreed to give our winner the chance to be her opening act in Thomond Park.

"For any country fan, Shania’s gig this summer will be an absolute highlight and for our winner to walk out on stage and perform will be a proper pinch me moment."

As well as sharing the stage with Twain, the Opening Act winner will also appear on the annual Late Late Show Country Special later this year.

The five finalists will be announced on Today with David McCullagh on RTÉ Radio1 and on RTÉ social accounts from Monday, 13 April.
