Shania Twain teases MAJOR celebration to mark 30 years since release of best-selling album Come On Over

FOREVER THE TWAIN

Shania Twain teases MAJOR celebration to mark 30 years since release of best-selling album Come On Over | Exclusive

By Jack Hardwick | The Sun - UK | July 26, 2026

SHE’S the best-selling female artist in country music history, having shifted 100million records worldwide.

Now, fresh from dropping her seventh studio album Little Miss Twain, Shania Twain has teased she is planning a major celebration in 2027 to mark three decades since she released one of the best-selling albums of all time, Come On Over.

In an exclusive chat, she said: “We are just starting to plan now. It is kind of like planning a wedding. I mean, what do you do? It was a very special moment to remember and to celebrate. I’d like to make it big.”

Asked if she may do shows playing the full record, which featured hits like Man! I Feel Like A Woman! and You’re Still The One, she added: “That is a great idea. For sure.

“It was a big, big turning point in my whole career. I’d like to celebrate it in full.”

Despite 33 years since her self-titled debut, Shania, who has just finished supporting Harry Styles during 12 shows at London’s Wembley Stadium, still has stamina and looks good for it.

Asked about how she does it, I’m relieved to know that cutting out booze isn’t something she advocates for.

She insisted: “I drink alcohol. ‘Oh thank God, she drinks alcohol!’

“For many, many years I didn’t drink, primarily as I was too busy. If I added alcohol to the end of my day it would have just shut me down, but I do drink now.

“I do whatever it takes to be a good professional.”

Revealing her secret to keeping in shape, Shania said: “I am just a really active person, so I have never been one to sit around and do nothing. I think it’s just me being active.

“I don’t do anything specific, I’m not on a routine or anything like that.

“I do have show-day routines where I am not on any solids, just because you are using your diaphragm. If I eat any solids during a show day, I always get really burpy during the show, it’s so annoying. So I just drink my nutrition all day.

“But otherwise I don’t have any strict rules. I am a vegetarian and I don’t eat any saturated fats… I don’t know if that’s part of it. Just a lean diet and being active.”

It’s fair to say Shania is on top of the world right now, even if her schedule is at breaking point.

In fact, we sit down to chat on her day off, with the superstar squeezing us in before she jets off to the States to do more promo.

Her new album Little Miss Twain, which came out on Friday, sees Shania sing about everything from touring pubs at a young age to making a name for herself and disappointing romances.

On Scary Thing, Shania sings: “I don’t want to go there, the ashes are still warm from the last time I got burned. I don’t want to feel this scary little thing called love.”

And on Problematic she muses: “I haven’t slept a wink without you. I know they say I’ve lost my way. Here’s my heart, just go ahead and stab it.”

Shania has been happily married for 15 years after tying the knot with Swiss businessman Frédéric Thiébaud in 2011.

But in a tale that sounds straight out of a telly drama, she bonded with Frédéric after discovering their spouses at the time were having an affair with each other.

To make matters worse, the woman Shania’s husband of 14 years, producer and songwriter Mutt Lange, cheated with was her close friend and assistant, Marie-Anne.

Through it all, Shania refused to give up on love — with the singer sighing knowingly when I tell her I’m not sure I believe my fairytale ending is coming.

Speaking frankly, Shania said: “I get it, I do get it. I think love is a scary thing and it’s all about risk, as you just don’t know where it’s going to end up, do you?

“You have to enter it as a risk-taker, so if you’re not in the spirit or the mood of taking chances, then maybe it’s not the right time in your life to fall in love or to get involved.

“But sometimes love is such a strong attraction you just can’t help yourself.

“So I think that is the moment where you have to just let go and throw in the towel to any reluctance or self-protection. You just have to be vulnerable.”

Explaining how she’s managed to “get it right”, she continued: “You know what it is? It’s called time. I’d love to have been able to get it right in my fifties, but that wasn’t enough time.

“I needed to be in my sixties to start getting it right, you know? And that’s fine. I plan to live to be 200 anyway.”

Little Miss Twain sees Shania return to her country roots after her more pop-leaning 2023 record, Queen Of Me.

Opening up about the album, Shania said: “It is like a diary. It’s a reflection of a full period of my life from where I started on stage as Little Miss Twain as a child, all the way up to when I got my record deal in my late twenties.

“It’s a phase of my life that a lot of people don’t know much about, so I am reflecting on where I was at the time, who I was around at the time, and just the basic atmosphere. It is very diary-esque.”

Love this, I just hope it doesn't take away from the 25th anniversary of Up! as it is supposed to get the Diamond Edition treatment.

If she's planning some kind of big COO shows, does that mean there won't be a LMT tour? She can't do both.

It is really strange for me that she's going to do something like that now. She's just launching the new album.
In the end there was already a Come on Over residency in Las Vegas a few years ago.
Anyway, would love a concert full of COO songs. There's no bad song in this album!

One way to celebrate that would be amazing is for her to do a huge concert filming a live concert where she performs each and every song from Come On Over for TV, DVD/streaming. Otherwise, don't interrupt LMT tour and Up! 25th
