A ton of business moved down south from there.  Lots of old retired people left behind.  And many lower income types from NYC and NJ have moved in recently.  It's not the same old town anymore.

Heck, the show the Office makes fun of Scranton and SNL has made fun of it through the character played as Biden and his connection there, lol.

 

I was in Newport once, during lunch though, they have the tennis hall of fame there, right, lol?

My friend lives on the upper side of the same island Newport is on.
