RE: Shania Lands Her Own TV Show - Video of Oprah introducing Shania

Shania Twain's New TV Show Asks, "Why Not?"

Posted: April 12th, 2010 at 4:53 pm  |  By: Alison Bonaguro

This new Shania Twain docu-series, Why Not? With Shania Twain, has been all over the news lately. With everything she's been through lately, like her ugly divorce that was a gift straight from tabloid hell, I think she's perfectly poised to inspire other people who are trying to survive similar struggles. And guess who's on board? Oprah Winfrey. So you know it will thrive. The hour-long show will be on the Oprah Winfrey Network and is being promoted as "a powerful new series in which she opens up about her life-altering heartbreak and how she's moving on. We'll follow her as she begins her climb back to the top." Last week, Twain told Winfrey in an interview, "I feel like in a way I'm starting over, with everything." But so far, what I've been really loving are the answers that fans (and a few haters) have posted when asked, "What helps you get over the bad stuff?" People have recommended everything from God and prayer to psychologists and mini-vacations to watching the ocean and a good long cry. I hope Twain takes the time to read the comments any time she feels like she needs a you-go-girl boost.

Shania stars in reality TV show

Fans calling Twain Centre to get the lowdown

By Kate McLaren

276190.dat
The new reality show Why Not with Shania Twain will be broadcast
on the Oprah Winfrey Network beginning Jan. 1, 2011.

Timmins' sweetheart is set to hit the small screen with her own reality show.

The show is entitled Why Not? with Shania Twain. It will feature the 44-year-old singer as she rebuilds her life after her 2008 split with ex-husband Mutt Lange.

"The show will follow (Twain) as she begins her climb back to the top," said a statement from the Oprah Winfrey Network, which will broadcoast the program. "It will be a personal journey filled with risk, revelations, and unexpected adventures."

For Timmins, the country star's new show may mean more publicity, especially for the city's Shania Twain Centre dedicated to Twain.

"We're very excited about the new show," said Tracy Hautanen, manager of the Shania Twain Centre. "When Shania's in the spotlight, Timmins is in the spotlight as well."

Hautanen, who has met Shania on several occasions, says the show will likely reflect the star's personality.

"She's very down to Earth," she said. "You'll probably see her being herself, a typical Northern girl who enjoys life and has fun.

"Fans have already been calling the centre for more info."

Fans are also expressing excitement on Twain's Facebook and web page, leaving messages of well wishing and congratulations.

"Looking forward to seeing you!" writes one fan, while another types "We have missed you!"

Hautanen explained that Twain being in the media can spur an increase of interest at the centre.

"I'm hoping this will help to bump up activity here," she said. "Whenever she releases an album or is on tour, we usually see an increase in activity here.

"We see more people visiting the centre, shopping here, and viewing our website online."

The Shania Twain Centre sees as many as 6,000 visitors during the summer months, and also serves as a community centre during the "off season."

Why Not? with Shania Twain does not yet have a time slot, but the Oprah Winfrey Network is set to launch the program Jan.1, 2011.

The hair of the Mutt, That’ll teach them to follow the law and Twin peaks

The hair of the Mutt

Shania Twain is breaking her stoic and refreshingly dignified silence on her ex-husband’s infidelity. She’s signed on to star in a reality series on the new Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN), which goes to air Jan. 1. The series, Why Not?, will explore the “life-altering heartbreak” of the end of her 14-year marriage to music producer Mutt Lange, and her recovery. Lange took up with Marie-Anne Thiébaud, a long-time secretary and house manager at Twain and Lange’s estate in Switzerland. Twain is recovering by dating Thiébaud’s ex-husband, Frédéric, which has a certain symmetry to it. “This is a very personal experience that I think is important to share,” she told Winfrey. One unlikely to agree is the highly reclusive Lange, which may be the point of the exercise.

Oprah Courts Madison Avenue
April 21, 2010
Lacey RoseBio

Oprah Winfrey has never lacked for fans or buzz, and now she has Madison Avenue on her side for her new venture.

As the Wall Street Journal first reported, Winfrey’s forthcoming cable network, the Oprah Winfrey Network, has signed its first major advertiser, Procter & Gamble. The deal, which will likely include ad time and in-show product integrations, spans multiple years and carries a reported price tag north of $100 million. Put another way, don’t be surprised if Shania Twain, star of OWN’s recently announced Why Not? With Shania Twain, starts lathering up with P&G’s Olay moisturizer.

The news is particularly well-timed for the cable network, which is set to launch in January 2011. With media buyers currently huddled to determine how to allocate their advertising budgets ahead of this year’s upfront buying season, one significant, pricey buy by an industry leader like P&G could inspire more--a boon given the increasingly competitive marketplace for networks targeting women (see Oxygen, Bravo, Lifetime, WE), and advertisers looking to lure them.

Will this work? Oprah’s new channel takes shape

By John Doyle
From Wednesday's Globe and Mail

We are at that peculiar time of the year. There’s not much happening now, but the entertainment racket is alive with chatter about what’s coming soon.

The Television Critics Summer Press Tour is under way in Los Angeles (TOM, the Other Man who writes in this space, is there and I’ll be there next week) and the U.S. network and cable channels are unveiling new shows. Press conferences, boasting network bosses, nervous producers and delighted actors. Parties. Closed-circuit screenings of hopeless shows at 6 a.m. Some shows will emerge with a huge critical boost.

Meanwhile, that mystifying Comic-Con event is ending. That TIFF thing is announcing its lineup. Watch some TV channels right now and you’ll see extensive promos for series coming or returning in September. Martin Scorsese’s gangster drama. Dexter awash in blood and guilt.

In the midst of all this hype and anticipation, one news item hasn’t had the attention it deserves: Some details of the coming content on Oprah Winfrey’s new cable channel OWN, have emerged. Winfrey is among the most shrewd of media figures, a woman with an uncanny ability to connect with American viewers. OWN will debut in January, 2011 (it’s too early to know how and when Canadians can access the channel), and Winfrey’s been busy putting the pieces together. The picture the industry is getting is one of an issue-driven channel with a ton of celebrity content in the background. Plus Oprah’s characteristic devotion to writers and artists and some conventional reality-TV. The overall themes, as you’d expect of Winfrey, are triumph over adversity, and generosity of spirit.

The most intriguing element to be announced is a series of documentaries made by some major Hollywood actors on topics and causes that interest them. According to reports, Winfrey has lined up Julia Roberts, Forest Whitaker, Goldie Hawn, Gabriel Byrne and Mariel Hemmingway. Roberts’s doc is about real-life inspirational mothers. Forest Whitaker’s work will be about the hospice program inside the notorious Angola maximum security prison in Louisiana, where most prisoners are serving a 90-year sentence. Goldie Hawn is making a film about “positive psychology and people's search for a happy life.” Gabriel Byrne's work will explore homelessness in Nashville, and a particular community of homeless people living under a downtown bridge.

Winfrey has also persuaded Survivor producer Mark Burnett to create a reality show that will search for a new TV host. And we know Canadian Shania Twain will star in Why Not? With Shania Twain, which apparently follows her “rebound after a messy public divorce.”

Will this work? Oddly enough the schedule looks like what CBC and CBC NN do every week. Without, of course, the Hollywood types producing the documentaries. In fact, the schedule is either a fatally flawed mixture of light and dark, or a brilliant amalgam of entertainment and earnestness. Winfrey’s main value as a media figure in the U.S. culture has, for years, been her deft ability to insert into her programs and offer in her movies and mini-series a distinct alternative to the perspective presented by every mainstream American broadcaster. Little wonder that, a few years ago, Michael Moore wanted Oprah Winfrey to run for president.

Whatever happens with the conventional networks over the next few months – whether the new Hawaii Five-0 is a hit or Charlie Sheen returns to Two and a Half Men – the old model of U.S. television will remain broken. Specialty cable channels are thriving. OWN is well-placed to benefit from that. Think beyond those new hyped new shows coming this fall and take note that U.S. TV will have something truly intriguing in January, 2011. Oprah might own the future.

Shania Lands Her Own TV Show On Oprah Winfrey Network

Oprah Sets Shows for New Network

By Sherrill Fulghum

Since talk show queen Oprah Winfrey announced the end of her weekday talk show, she has been working hard to fill the spaces for her new television network OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network). The network is scheduled to hit the airwaves in January and to be broadcast to some 80 million homes.

So far Oprah has secured several programs for her prospective viewers, which include:

Never one to hider her thoughts, energetic comedian and talk show host Rosie O’Donnell returns to daytime television with her own talk show. On her return to TV, "it's an honor and a privilege to work with Oprah Winfrey on her network," said O’Donnell.

Actress Julia Roberts will be the executive producer and host for “Extraordinary Moms”, a documentary for mothers who are trying to make things better for their family.

Mariel Hemingway hosts “Seven Suicides”, a show on suicide as she looks at the suicides in her own family.

Gabriel Byrne host “Tent City”, a show about homelessness in Nashville.

Award winning actress Goldie Hawn hosts “Searching for Happiness”, a show on positive psychology.

Forest Whitaker hosts “One Last Shot”, a show that goes inside the hospice wing fo the Louisiana State Prison.

Award winning country star Shania Twain hosts “Why Not?”, a personal show that follows Twain’s life as she picks up the pieces after her divorce.

Oprah’s own confidant and best friend Gayle King is getting her own show titled “Gayle King Live”. The show is the television version of her current Satellite Radio program.

“Survivor” producer Mark Burnett is producing a talk show version of “American Idol” where contestants vie for the rights to have their own talk show called “Your Own Show: Oprah’s Search for the Next TV Star”.

“Oprah Presents: Master Class” is a program where various celebrities deal with the lessons of life.

“Visionaries: Inside the Creative Mind” looks into the creative minds of modern day stars.

And network owner Oprah herself will make an appearance with “Behind the Scenes: The Oprah Show Final Season” and “Oprah’s Next Chapter”

Cable and satellite networks have not yet revealed what channels the new network will appear.

Got a story for Oprah?

The Cochrane Times-Post received a call that an upcoming television show featuring Shania Twain is looking for stories from residents of Northern Ontario.

The show is to air on OWN, Oprah Winfrey's soon-to-be-launched cable channel (OWN = Oprah Winfrey Network), which hits the airwaves in January. It is possible the stories that are being sought will be featured on "Why Not? With Shania Twain", an hour-long series that will premiere on OWN.

How does Northern Ontario factor in? Shania's humble beginnings in Timmins are well-documented and it seems that the network is seeking similar stories from the star's fellow northerners. In particular, the network is looking for someone whose childhood followed a path similar to Twain's, namely, the loss of both parents at a young age, and the resulting struggles to strive, survive and prosper.

If that sounds like your life or the life of someone you know, call us at 705-335-2283 x 223, fax us at 705-337-1222 or email to news@kapuskasingtimes.com.

OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network going to arrive in Canada next year

TORONTO - The Oprah Winfrey Network is coming to Canada.

Corus Entertainment says it's finalized a deal that will bring the health and relationship channel north of the border following the U.S. premiere on Jan. 1, 2011.

Called OWN, the channel will largely target women age 25 to 54.

The lineup will include the evening talk show "Oprah's Next Chapter," "Behind the Scenes: The Oprah Show Final Season," and the reality show, "Why Not? With Shania Twain," which will chronicle the ups and downs of the Canadian country music star.

Winfrey is set to wrap up her weekday syndicated talk show next year after its 25th season.

Other shows bound for OWN include Rosie O’Donnell’s return to daytime TV with "The Rosie O’Donnell Show," "Oprah Presents: Master Class," "In the Bedroom with Dr. Laura Berman," and "Gayle King Live!"

OWN joins several female-focused TV channels already under the Corus umbrella, including W, CosmoTV, Dusk, and Viva.

"OWN is a perfect addition to our women's portfolio of specialty channels, and Corus is proud to launch this highly anticipated brand in Canada," Doug Murphy, president of Corus Television, said Wednesday in a release.

The Oprah Winfrey Network’s New Logo Is Very Colorful!

The Oprah Winfrey Network’s New Logo Is Very Colorful!

At rightleft, please find the new logo for the Oprah Winfrey Network, launching January 1. Boy, it's bright! Borrowing a color scheme from the glow necklaces people wear at raves and Bar Mitzvahs, it aggressively eschews primary colors (except for the hint of yellow in that onion of an "O") and embraces serifs, to create a stately fluorescent look that would totally be on the currency of a country started by a gaggle of 9-year-old girls at a slumber party. So, possibly, not wrong for OWN? But probably. Someone at OWN wanna get the Gap-logo guy on the phone?

Oprah Bans the Word 'Bitch' From Her Network

She wants her cable network to be "fun and entertaining without tearing people down."

Don't expect Oprah to go down market on her network OWN, launching in January.

In a speech at Maria Shriver's Women's Conference, she said her cable network will be "fun and entertaining without tearing people down and calling them bitches. Imagine that. Imagine."

Oprah also said she was destined to launch her own network.

"Growing up, I could never find my name on any of those license plates or lunch boxes," she said. "Now, I know what it was for -- to start my own network. A whole network, a whole channel that we're designing to carry the Oprah Winfrey message." PHOTOS: See who attended the Women's Conference.

But Winfrey, who was sued for plagiarism Tuesday, knows it'll be bumpy at first.

"I know that as I start out on this next chapter, there's going to be some mistakes. I know there's going to be some stumbles. I know I'm a work in process and progress. I know nothing new is perfect, but I'm not scared. I'm not afraid."

Judds Plan TV Series With Oprah Winfrey Network

The Judds have landed a TV series with the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN). The network launches on Jan. 1. The series will follow Naomi and Wynonna Judd's preparations for their final reunion tour as they "continue to explore their complex relationship," according to press materials. The Judds' Last Encore tour begins Nov. 26 in Green Bay, Wis. As previously reported, Shania Twain will also star in a series for OWN, chronicling her life after divorce. In addition, Ryan O'Neal and Tatum O'Neal will appear in a series as the famous father and daughter try to reconcile their differences.

Her OWN worst enemy
Oprah’s new cable channel offers little incentive to tune in
By Mark A. Perigard

Maybe Oprah should think about hanging onto her day job.

The queen of daytime earlier this week announced her schedule for her cable channel, naturally titled OWN - the Oprah Winfrey Network - which will begin airing Jan. 1.

The programs look like the kind of dreck you might expect from Ryan Seacrest’s celebrity-fevered mush of a brain over on E!

“Ryan and Tatum: The O’Neals” will focus on the estranged relationship between the famous father and Oscar-winning daughter.

Because, really, as every series from “The Two Coreys” to “Jon & Kate Plus Eight” has demonstrated, there’s nothing like a reality show to bring together people.

We can only hope they won’t re-create the moment at Farrah Fawcett’s funeral in which Ryan didn’t even recognize his daughter and hit on her.

In “The Judds,” singers Naomi and Wynonna rehearse for a tour. “Carson-Nation” sends “Queer Eye’s” Kressley into small towns with fresh paint.

OWN also will air “The Best of Dr. Phil,” a series culled from his syndicated show.

That’s a good four minutes of the network schedule.

Many of Oprah’s proteges - Dr. Phil, Dr. Oz and Suze Orman - will field questions on “Ask Oprah’s All-Stars.”

There’s more. Oprah will find room for shows starring Sarah Ferguson, Shania Twain and Rosie O’Donnell.

Announcing the creation of the network back in January 2008, Winfrey said, “This is my vision. I’m the voice and the brand of the network.”

That vision is starting to look as if it is suffering from glaucoma.

Meanwhile, Oprah seems to be using the 25th and final season of her syndicated talk show (weekdays at 4 p.m.) to cross off items on her own bucket list.

Last week, she reunited the cast of one of her favorite films, “The Sound of Music,” for the first time in 45 years - minus the teenage Nazi, but you’ll have to go to TMZ for his complaints.

“Oprah & Gayle’s Big Yosemite Camping Adventure” found the two BFFs venturing into the national park and behaving like the old married couple who either end up in divorce court or one behind bars, the other in a shallow grave.

Oprah revealed, perhaps unwittingly, her mastery of passive-aggressiveness. Commenting on Gayle’s driving, she said, “I trust you want to see your children again.” She donned a set of headphones to block out Gayle’s voice.

At 56, Winfrey is beginning her “encore career,” changing direction and questioning her path. Her sitdown with 72-year-old actress Jane Fonda last week was as much gushing admiration as it was about gleaning advice on aging meaningfully.

“I want to be whole,” Oprah said.

Asked about her network, she recently told the Hollywood Reporter, “I know there’s going to be some stumbles. I know I’m a work in process and progress. I know nothing new is perfect, but I’m not scared. I’m not afraid.”

Sometimes a little fear is good. It can keep you focused on what counts, especially when launching a cable network across a crowded dial with a schedule that seems devoid of originality.

Oprah's network to launch in Canada in March

The Canadian Press
Tuesday Nov. 9, 2010 12:01 PM ET

TORONTO — The Oprah Winfrey Network is coming to Canada on March 1, two months after it launches in the U.S.

In the two-month interim, some of the new network's programming will air in Canada on W Network and VIVA, which will then be replaced by OWN when it launches.

OWN has already announced a lineup of shows featuring a variety of familiar faces, including Timmins, Ont., country superstar Shania Twain, who will be the subject of the hour-long reality series "Why Not? With Shania Twain."

A spokesperson for Corus Entertainment, which is launching OWN in Canada, said it's expected Twain's show will launch in the spring, though no firm date has been announced.

The new network also boasts shows featuring Rosie O'Donnell, Sarah Ferguson and Gayle King.

Winfrey, who is wrapping her syndicated talk show in September, also plans to host a new prime-time series.

"Oprah has an extensive, engaged community of Canadian women who really trust and are loyal to her brand," said Susan Schaefer, head of networks and marketing with Corus Entertainment, in a release.

Oprah's FINAL show is sometime in May. "Why Not?" will probably start in the beginning of April so maybe Shania will be a guest on Oprah's show in March.

People Scramble to Get on Final Oprah Shows
Published : Tuesday, 16 Nov 2010, 11:56 AM EST

(CANVAS STAFF REPORTS) - With "The Oprah Winfrey Show" filming the last part of its final season from January through May, self-help gurus, authors, fashion designers, and artists of all kinds are vying to be one of her last guests. The Midas touch that Oprah has had on past clients has turned struggling writers into overnight best-selling authors.

One needs only to look at the careers of Dr. Phil, Dr. Mehmet Oz, fitness guru Bob Greene, cooking show host Rachael Ray, or Suze Orman after appearing on the show to see the positive effect that a thumbs up from Oprah can do to a career. Standing in the spotlight with Oprah can change someone's life.

Since the ending of series was announced near the end of 2009, many people across the country have been scrambling to find a way to get on the show. Aspiring novelist Tina Marie Frawley has even set up a website, Oprahby2011.com , where she posts frequently on this desire and asks for help to be featured on the show with her historical fiction.

Capitalizing on this desperate thirst that many people have to be on "The Oprah Winfrey Show," Susan Harrow, a media coach, has released a book named "The Ultimate Guide to Getting Booked on Oprah."

But Gawker reported that there are two catches. First, Harrow has not actually been able to get on the show herself. Secondly, the book is $99, yes $99. Even so, some readers have turned to her book for any clues on how to capture media's golden ring and secure a spot on the show.

Not all aspiring "Oprah" guests can afford such a hefty price tag. Hope is not completely lost for those who dreamed of a sit-down with the most successful talk show host in history. Oprah will be on her OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network (the network she created with Discovery Communications and her own production company) with a smaller scale show, "Oprah's Next Chapter" between two to three times per week.

Those who do not make the cut may also be surprised to know that it may have not been the ultimate answer they were seeking. The New York Times reported that not all of Oprah's guests have gone to astronomical successes.

Cindy Ratzlaff, president of Brand New Brand You, a marketing and media strategy company, stated, "I've had a frequent number of authors and books on her show, and some of them have gone on to have become enormous best sellers and some have not. She really has to hold your book up and say, 'This book changed my life, I highly recommend this book.'"

Hello everyone.    Merry Christmas to all!

I would think that Shania's show will be much like Sarah Palin's show on TLC. A set number of shows, discussing her life as we all know it, and as stated, "her climb back to the top"
If that is the case, we will see the past, present and future. We know the past and a good part of the present. But the future may show us the development of the new CD, and that could make it very enjoyable. We'll see the inner workings.

We've waited this long, and we don't have a choice anyway. Let's put a positive spin on this. If the filming has already started on this (I'll bet it's almost done), then that means the music may already be done and now the marketing of Shania Twain is under way.

Remember, this will require some smart people to market all this correctly. She's up against a young crowd like Taylor and Carrie and Lady Gaga (geez!). She's behind on the digital age. CD's don't sell like they used to.
Keep your fingers crossed!!
Chris

Hi Cris!
Great comment, I think we all look forward to seeing the TV series of Shania and waiting for the new album was long, although I believe that with the talent of Shania and our help to spread their music, this new album will be a success and if not for the digital business world, it will be for us who love Shania Twain. Her album Up was released in 2002 and yet allowed him to become the first artist in history with three consecutive Diamond albums. We must wait, but we always have to believe in the talent and professionalism to the Queen of Country-Pop.
A kiss to all and happy holidays !!!!!!
Merry Christmas !!!!!!!!
Thanks Tommy! biggrinsmile

I would bet that the video of her walking down the dock on a lake was filmed at the house she has in Canada, on that lake. Same beautiful scenery. She's wearing summer clothes. She probably filmed it back when she was there.

I still think this is all part of elaborate plan. That's good, though. They are putting all the pieces together for her come back and that takes time.

I don't think we will be let down.

If anybody out there follows Ophra, let us know when her new network starts. "OWN" Ophra Winfrey Network

I have never been in that part of Canada but I have been to a lake near Vancouver and the scenes in the video reminded me of that lake and the mountains in the background.

I don't know if she is in the actual magazine or if it's just a new story from the magazine as posted by UMG Nashville.

O THE OPRAH MAGAZINE – Shania Twain News Story

Shania Twain

She’s sold 75 million albums worldwide over her 17-year career, but when Twain discovered in 2008 that her husband had been unfaithful – with her best friend – no amount of success could ease the pain. This April, in the six-part series Why Not?...with Shania Twain, the singer opens up about her divorce, recovering her creative voice, and her plans for a new beginning.

Here is an article from the current issue of "O".

Launching OWN with Oprah
O, The Oprah Magazine  |  December 16, 2010
At first it was scary, the idea of moving on and undertaking a big new challenge. I wavered not over 'Should I end the show?' (I knew it was time) but over 'What to do next?' Sit back, relax, and rest on my laurels? Cruise the world? Garden and read for 12 months? Have lunch with friends every day? Or take what I've been blessed to build over 25 years and use it to keep building, reaching, and teaching?

I chose the latter because, as I said in O's November issue, it is my calling. (Though I confess that I hesitated briefly, in the midst of an especially exhausting week, and reconsidered becoming one of the ladies who lunch and lounge. All my friends said, "Don't do it. You'd be miserable without a mission." They were right.)

In July I read a Vanity Fair article about the making of Michael Jackson's album Thriller. The piece quoted some of Michael's friends saying that one of his biggest mistakes was never realizing that Thriller's becoming the number-one-selling album in history was a once-in-a-lifetime phenomenon. And because he didn't realize that, he spent the rest of his life chasing that success.

Reading that was a big aha for me. The reason I had wavered was fear: I was afraid I wouldn't be able to duplicate what I've done. But as I thought about Michael Jackson, I began to see that not only can you not duplicate success, you're not supposed to. Every new endeavor is created out of the quality of the energy you bring to it and is meant to be its own thing.

So here I go. I'm in the countdown to the end of the great phenomenon of my life. Headed off to launch a network of shows intended to do what The Oprah Winfrey Show and this magazine have done for years: inspire and entertain.

Everything you've ever done prepares you for all that you can do and be. So I move forward to start a new chapter with the lessons I've learned and the strength I've gained. OWN debuts January 1; in its kickoff year, we've planned more than 600 hours of new programs. To fill the time 24/7/365, you need close to 9,000. We have a lot of work ahead.

You can see why I hesitated for a moment. Do I really want to take this on? But the launch is just the beginning of what will eventually be a channel filled with creative, meaningful, and mindful programming.

What I know for sure: Fear comes from uncertainty. Once you clarify your purpose for doing something, the way to do it becomes clear.

Let this be the year you release your fears about what you can achieve. Know for sure what you want and be willing to  give yourself what you need to get it.

Cheers to new beginnings!

Slowly a little more definitive info is filtering out of the woodwork to us -  I wonder if these six parts follow in a weekly or monthly manner?

True but they would never air a show once a month. People would lose interest. For example, "Sarah Palin's Alaska" on TLC is an eight-week series.

I had a feeling that this would only be a miniseries type of show. I never expected it to be like the other shows similar to this one. I doubt we ever see anything other than these 6 episodes.

We have not lost interest, and it has been years since her last new album came out.  What are a few weeks?  Peanuts.

You cannot compare Shania to Sarah even though Sarah plays her music at her rallies etc.

I lost interest in Sarah one minute after I first listened to her speak.biggrin

I had no idea how long the series would run - no one said anything about a miniseries 6 episode thingie.  I guess it is not a big surprise.  I still want to know if her book is a memoir or an autobiography - huge difference 'tween the two.

I was just trying to make a statement that I don't ever remember a series or mini-series airing once a month.
