Rod Stewart's new show dates have been announced yesterday and he'll be playing at the Colosseum from Sept. 17th to Oct. 5th and will be back from Nov. 5th to Nov. 23rd.
Shania should be playing between those dates I think... I hope she'll be doing shows during the last week of October !! When do you think the next leg will be announced?

Probably the end of June or sometime in July. Usually towards the end of her current leg.

Is July the last for Shania in Vegas? Like is her contract up? How many more shows. I wonder if she will extend her stay and suggestions folks?
She'll have a couple legs in the Fall but then her current 2-year contract is up. After July's shows are over, that will be 36 shows for the year so far. So she will still need to perform 24 more shows to equal 60 (60 shows per year). I wonder when/if we will hear any more about extending her residency.

You do realize that someone recorded it with their phone and phones usually give off the worst quality. I saw her back in June and her voice sounded amazing its was haunting as too how fantastic she sounded like its never changed. I would go see the show first before you make that judgement.

Shania made my dream come true in Vegas on June and will be seeing her again in July
When I saw the show her voice sounded stronger/better than on the Chicago DVD. It's true that her voice has changed. It's deeper now, but I like that.
And those videos do lie. They're uncomparable with reality.
Age deepens your voice. When MIFLAW was first released her voice was much higher in pitch and the suits in Caesers Palace wanted her to sing the song as close to the original recording as possible. They probably didn't want to hear her sing the song in a lower pitch because the customers may have a WTH moment. To them, Shania Twain is a brand. In actuality, the customers may not really care as long as they get to see and hear Shania. But they're the ones calling the shots at the end of the day. IMHO, what really busted her voice was Mutt making her sing in a higher pitch than her normal range and she sang that way live for a number of years. He probably did this to make her sound more girlish and that went well with her image at the time. Shania's voice sounded much deeper and stronger in range in her debut album than in her work with Mutt. But Shania's writing was at the forefront with Mutt. The same thing was done to Britney Spears and that is why she lip syncs so much. If you watch Britney Spears' singing as a child her voice was phenomenal, but very deep. Apparently, most record executives do not like females with deep singing voices because they do not sound so girly and cute. Typical male fantasies, I guess.

An only-in-Vegas moment: Shania Twain, Piff the Magic Dragon and Mr. Piffles onstage at Caesars
By Don Chareunsy | June 4, 2014 | 8:02 p.m.
In definitely one of the most unusual collaborations — ever — in Las Vegas, Caesars Palace headliner Shania Twain was joined onstage Tuesday night by Piff the Magic Dragon and his Chihuahua, Mr. Piffles, during Twain’s show “Shania: Still the One” at the Colosseum.
Piff and Mr. Piffles star in “Vegas Nocturne” at Rose. Rabbit. Lie. in the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. RRL sister show “Absinthe” is performed in the Spiegelworld tent outside Caesars Palace and next to Serendipity 3.
Twain talked up “Vegas Nocturne” and how much she loves the erotic and unique show — and Piff and Mr. Piffles, as they’ve become besties as of late. The Canadian superstar invited Piff to join an onstage singalong with audience members as she held Mr. Piffles.
Don Chareunsy is senior editor for arts and entertainment of the Las Vegas Sun.
Robin Leach has been a journalist for more than 50 years and has spent the past decade giving readers the inside scoop on Las Vegas, the world’s premier platinum playground.
Tonight is Shania's last "Still The One" show of her seventh leg. She will return to Las Vegas July 12 - 26 for the eighth leg of the show. Get your ticketsHERE!
***Don't forget! Shania will be performing two concerts at the Calgary Stampede on July 9 & 10!

Shania's late with announcing her shows. How about the tickets sales for the upcoming leg? I am thinking that the sales might be dropping, and they're not announcing anything yet to try and sell more tickets for the upcoming leg. But that is just speculation.
I sure hope she'll announce something soon, since some of my friends are planning on going, and I hope they will get a chance.

With those numbers, I highly doubt she will renew her Vegas contract.
She should do like Celine did: some years off, a new album, maybe a world tour in between (or just a US and Canada one) and then a new show in Vegas with new songs and a new concept.
I don't comment on her vegas gig because I still consider her a retired artist with nothing new in over a decade. But i will say this , shania's numbers are just fine and she is making lots of money for vegas. I saw Celine's box score a while back and she had a few thousand seats not bought during a leg. By in large shania's gig has been hugely successful. But I agree she needs to get with it and change her shows a bit. I have heard from people who were turned off with all shania's selfies and chit chatting during her shows.tgey came to listen to her sing and paid a lot of money. Not everyone gets to interact with shania down by the stage. And the campfire thing has to go. A very bad idea in my opinion. Most people there are touring Vegas and just decided to catch a show. Many are not big fans and followed her career closely. And of course a new album would bring new material and fans to the show. But who are we kidding lol does shania really take anyone's advice or just advice of her good friend and amateur publicist Jason Owens who says,"yes shania, yes shania, yes you are right shania, yes perfect lets do that shania, yes mam shania" lol I am just having a bit of fun but you get my point.
I am pretty sure she will. I for one love it and cant wait to see it again, and everyone I talk to who have seen it say the same thing. So it's a huge success. People who complain about not getting a selfie with Shania are just jealous that they didn't get to interact with the star herself. Shania is very fan based and friendly so she wants to interact with as many as possible. Ya you're right goodlookingkevy a lot of people just go to entertained and are not big fans. They want to to see a show. Let me tell ya it's for sure a show.
As for the campfire piece it's a very important form many reasons. You have to see it to understand.

Numbers are way down, I don't think they will do a renewal. That attendance is extremely low. At least Celine Dion puts a effort to make new music. This making no music in a decade has hurt her career. However the Calgary Stampe both shows sold out. I think Shania is planning a new album and eventually a world tour. What are you thoughts Tommy? Am I way off?
People who complain about not getting a selfie with Shania are just jealous that they didn't get to interact with the star herself.
Come on, that's not an accurate assessment. We're all fans, but it's very unrealistic to expect Shania to high five every single person in the auditorium. That is, if she had a body double. Lol! I'm Team Kevy on this one: drop the pageantry and focus on the show itself!

Wow sorry. I wasn't trying to start an argument or anything. Ya I see your point tho.
The show is 100% awesome. Everyone should see it. I think if Shania did what Celine does changes is it up form time to time then her ticket sales would be better. But who knows right.

There are a lot of really good tickets for the shows in July for 50% or more off... I just bought a ticket on row MM (front??) orch for $100.
I guess the sales are not what they're hoping for, and thats why they haven't released the dates for the shows in the fall and winter yet. They're trying to sell more tickets for the summer leg, and people who were planning on going in the fall/winter might go in the summer because they're scared there won't be any shows in the fall/winter. But that's just my thought.

I've been skeptical about Vegas since the beginning.
A two-years show with NO new music to promote, singing the same old songs, some of them 20 years old, it's not a great idea, in my opinion.
She should have done a one-year show and then see how the things went.
Or maybe she'll announce her new Vegas dates during the canadian concerts in July.
Maybe ticket sales are lower during summer in general.
AEG chief John Meglen on last summer: "We did have a little lull at the beginning of the summer across the board. Audiences were off a little, but the problem with a lull is that you don’t know it’s a lull until it’s over."

That's probably true about ticket sales being lower during the Summer. But Shania's last leg wasn't technically during the Summer. And on a side note, Shania took the entire Summer off last year.

Ya that is true. I personally think Shania should have done all of or some of the summer last year and just do her two Canadian shows this summer, because it's a way for Shania to promote her vegas show and therefore ticket sales would go up. Who knows right?

Twain back at Colosseum this summer, but no word on album
By Mike Weatherford | July 10, 2014 - 11:13pm
Preview Shania Twain "Still the One" 7:30 p.m. Saturday-Sunday, Tuesday-Wednesday Colosseum at Caesars Palace, 3570 Las Vegas Blvd. South $55-$250 (888-929-7849)
Shania Twain is keeping fans waiting again. But at least they have both a present and past tense while waiting on a future album.
A 10-year wait for the ’90s superstar to return to the stage paid off with “Still the One,” the fun, production-packed spectacle that’s back for summer dates at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
But there’s been no news of a new album since the singer started telling reporters she had songs ready to go into a studio last summer. “I don’t want to rush myself, but I am feeling a healthy pressure,” she said in November.
For now, live horses, a Western saloon number, a flying motorcycle and a sing-along around the campfire will just have to tide Shania loyalists over.
“I get this incredible view of the audience when I’m coming in,” Twain said of her grand entry, the 40-foot descent on the cycle. “I always feel really wonderful inside. I always smile inside and out. It just feels really good.
“I sort of feel like I’m standing on the tip of the Titanic. It’s an epic moment for me for some reason.”
Shania's two-year residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace resumes tonight in Las Vegas! This is the eighth leg of her "Still The One" show and consists of 10 concerts July 12-26. Get your tickets HERE!

Okay guys, you're hearing it from us first because we have our people in Vegas right now. The official last dates for Shania Twain's last concert dates for "Still the One" at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace (should Shania not renew her show/contract with Caesars Palace). These are not even online yet but we checked with Caesar's box office directly and for now you have to buy directly from the box office by calling them. Major thank you to our new admin Sumer for getting this valuable info for us!
That would make a total of 110 shows instead of the 120 shows announced (60 par year). I hope some dates are missing because if these ones are the only dates for the fall then I'm really disappointed since I'm arriving in Vegas on Oct. 26... I am crying right now. Great.

That stinks. Maybe you can go a couple days earlier. It looks like Shania's last show in October is the 25th. Then Rod Stewart takes over November 5-23. It's strange Shania only has 6 shows in December beginning on the 6th.

She had more in December last year, right Tommy?
