Any love worth having must be mourned when it is lost, and Shania Twain embraces that grief here, but also, flips the words of the title to a synonym, making a good remedy for getting past the pain at the moment, as she requests “Pour me another.”
So, most of us have only heard the entirety of three songs from Now, "LATGG," "PM" and a live version of "Swingin." Aside from those three, I've seen several people say they have heard other songs and have been granted access to download these other songs. "LATGG" was not a success on country radio, is there anyone out there who has heard other songs that has an oppinion on what song besides "Swingin" would have the best shot on country radio. After all, country is what started Shania's success.
I just read on another forum there has been another leak on iTunes... The whole album available for someone to hear. Now it's not working anymore but apparently Shania's team knows about it and they're pissed off. I don't know why iTunes has all these problems lately but I hope the album won't leak on internet: torrents and streaming websites. It would be a HUGE problem for Shania and her team. I don't even know why her label has already given them the whole album. Not a smart move at all.
Okay, I'm just gonna go out on a limb here, and say.... I think it's Shania herself causing this iTunes leak. She did say she was impatient for the release of her new album "NOW". I don't want to put blame on anyone, but for this iTunes leak to just be effecting Shania and no one else. It just makes it quite suspicious. Shania's team would probably be pissed off, but if the album does somehow leak, I'm sure Shania wouldn't be too mad for long, she'll just shake it off. She's a professional, and she knows just as good as we do, that we (her fans) have been waiting an awfully long time for new music, so new Shania music being brought into the world is long overdue. The ONLY HUGE problem this would actually be for Shania and her team is sales. If the album does leak, this far away from the release date, everybody is gonna be downloading and listening to her album illegally (Torrents, Streaming sites, etc.), and by the time the actual release date rolls around, unless the album is gold (Which I'm sure it will be), than there won't be as much people actually buying the album, heck some people might even cancel their pre-order (Now that's a scary thought...)

Ok I do not like Poor Me. I've tried it a few times, and it's bad. It sounds like emo phase 8th grade poetry. The production is fine I guess but it's a different direction than I would probably go.
Re: leaks - anyone who is interested enough to dig for the leaked album will also most likely buy it in September. It's not like casual country radio listeners are working that hard to get the album early. It's probably 99% fans, who have also pre-ordered the album. Shan (and maybe her team - who knows with those guys) has never had to deal with a leak before. Last time she was releasing stuff it was primarily physical sales. I think digital sales, streaming, and leaks will be interesting waters for her to navigate over the next part of her career. I hope she can land some front pages on iTunes/Spotify/whatever.

Well you have bad taste if you don't like poor me 🤤😲😲 but of course that is just my opinion lol i have to say not only is it one of her best and freshest songs but the majority of the people love the song. It is no doubt the song that has already attracted new younger fans. This is not 1997 anymore and she has moved on to newer fresher sound, it is not just about satisfying old die hard fans like you. But i am sure that there are a few songs on the album that are more your taste. I as a long time fan am not stuck in the past or a certain sound. I can appreciate all types of sounds . Poor me is outstanding!!!
Yeah it's just not for me, but there's a lot of current pop music I don't particularly like. It's not necessarily about new sounds or old sounds - I didn't like Waiter, don't particularly care for That Don't Impress Me Much (which I know a lot of people like), etc. We all have different tastes. I agree it is one of her "freshest" sounds. I'm really excited to hear All In All. :)

PM has had moderate success on the country iTunes chart. It peaked at #24 and currently sits at #31. Keep in mind this is only a promo single and doesn't in any shape sound country. Shania is working on her music video for "Swingin" as we speak. Looking forward to see how country radio adapts to the next single!
As I hear new songs from Shania, it's getting better and better. The chorus of PM is catchy and makes you groove. You just like to sing it at the beginning then you will end up slow dancing in the end. 😁
From LATGG, to PM and to SWMEC... the momentum to the album is just wow! just so exciting for us fans.
Not a fan of PM but I'm glad people are liking it. Still addicted to LATGG, though. I think it's true what the radio stations said about Shania's management telling them to not play the record until late July. Most likely to coincided with the music video. Can't wait! I hope it's iconic and I also hope there will be no evil robots chasing her around.
I just was now thinking, I know at 4:30 am lol, but I was thinking of how Shania herself has confirmed a music video for SWMEC and LATGG. I think in a way LATGG could almost well be a promo single itself, given the little success performed, but since that would be silly to retract that, it doesn't make sense to put any video out for LATGG. Sure, if she's already made it then I understand going forth, but it seems off we've yet to see it. SWMEC will be coming within the next month or two, and I'm sure a video will be released a lot sooner to street date of the next single than LATGG. What are yall's thoughts?

I've never bought that whole "not playing LATGG until late July" rumor. I mean it's late July now and the song is nowhere to be heard. It died after one week on the U.S. Billboard Country chart and it won't be resurrecting.

New Lyric video is out, work for @shaniatwain and the song #Poorme from the new album NOW #ShaniaNOW
I had only two weeks to come up with this new lyric video, I gave my all to create something unique and new for @shaniatwain and i hope you guys enjoy the new video as much as I enjoyed creating it, these drawings in this post are some of the initial studies and after loads of new drawings I eventually got the final results. If you haven't seen the video, the link is in my bio! Let me know what you think!
PM needs a chance to grow with you.. And when you keep on playing it, it gives that feel of jammin' and dancin' in the end. I love LATGG, but I even more love PM.
I was the same way, except I adapted way quicker than you haha. But even now, It's like a completely different song to me and the whole "Chainsmokers" sound... I don't notice it anymore, this to me is just Shania.
"PM" is so good I've played it so many times. I even know the lyrics already, its catchy. I love how she hits higher notes toward the end, which I find myself needing when I'm singing it myself. Do I wish it were longer yes maybe, by a bit. Its at about 3:21 running time maybe 3:45? with some extra painful whaling "poor me" but thats just me.
My partner think I've killed the song already..lol
What's up with poor me being in the itunes top 50 for a few days already in India? It's ok in my opinion, but after hearing a few previews online, I think the best is yet to come (swinging, who's gonna be your girl, soldier). So excited for September and especially the hyde park concert
Shania just had this on her IG story so I'm slightly confused...
Is she filming the LATGG video now? Is this a hint that is coming out soon? There was no context of the story and it followed the "Poor Me" lyric video snipet...
She looks amazing in the background ps and notice there is no date, conveniently.
Shania shot the "LATGG" video in the Dominican Republic in the beginning of June. I guess her Instagram Story means it will be released soon. Although she's been replying "soon" to people asking on Twitter for 3-4 weeks.

I was confused at first too but I think she is just posting the picture on Instagram to indicate that its coming soon. I'm thinking real soon now that she's instagramming about it now but I don't know
From what I believe, for Shania to just post that picture on Instagram like that, the LATGG video is coming real soon indeed. I'm talking like within the week. I say this, cause usually. for the most part, when an artist posts an Instagram story of pictures from a video shoot for a new music video, it's usually to tease the fans, and let them know the video is coming really soon, and "really soon" usually happens within a few days after the Instagram story/teaser of the video.
One prime example, is Selena Gomez has done this a few times before, I think she did that recently with her "Bad Liar" video last month, and then a couple days later the actual video was uploaded on YouTube. I'm not saying it's the same here for Shania, but since she has been telling people on Twitter the video is coming "soon" for the last 3 - 4 weeks, I suspect we should have the video within the next 7 days or less. Heck, we could have it by this Friday, who knows?
I've only heard "Poor Me" a couple of times and I really like it. Yes, it is totally different from any Shania song we've heard before, but it is a very good song. The lyrics are honest and raw and it is the most we've seen Shania reveal about Mutt's affair with Marie-Anne through her songwriting.

Such a strange feelin' for Poor me song...I don't know, I'm happy she's soundin' fresh and new, but I guess it's not my type of songs...
Maybe I have to listen more times, but I really, really, hope the album includes more Shania-style songs...

It's kinda weird, but the more you listen to the song, I find it kinda is a Shania-style song with a new flare... Am I wrong?

Shania Twain Demonstrates the Vulnerability of Infidelity in ‘Poor Me’
By Kelly Brickey | Sounds Like Nashville | July 25, 2017
Heartbreak holds as the anthemic call to action in Shania Twain’s latest track, “Poor Me.”
Opening up about her deepest thoughts and chronicling the unfolding of a cheating scandal, Twain doesn’t hold back the emotions shuffling through her soul. Asking the fearful questions regarding how long she’s been in the dark over the ordeal, the country singer lets woe take over as she drowns within the misery of infidelity.
Twain does admit to the treacherous downfall of the relationship at stake throughout the lyric, and yet still remains her cheeky self by switching the ‘poor me’ to ‘pour me’ in order to drink away her problems. The diary-like track goes through her each and every raw thought in the discovery of adultery and acts as a version of therapeutic closure for Twain.
Guitar riffs act as the musical knives to cut through the listener’s heart as it drives through the honest choruses. It’s Twain’s unrefined vocal that really digs into the song, creating a gritty look on love lost.
The release of “Poor Me” follows that of her first single off the new record, “Life’s About to Get Good.” Both songs show alternative sides to Twain’s upcoming work, leaving her fans in even more anticipation for what other topics will be covered on her long-awaited return to the country music scene.
“Poor Me,” which is available to listen to now, will be featured on her forthcoming record, NOW. The album is slated to hit shelves September 29.
I found a new clip on this website. It's in a different language but when I hit play it gave me a new clip. Cannot wait for the video. http://bit.ly/2uz6P2h
One of her best videos yet!!! Usually I'm not into music videos too much but I think I'll watch this one over and over and over and over again.
Love the reference to MIFLAW!
Welcome back Shania, welcome back.
