lol lol I would love to hear the songs you like of any artist if this is the only song you like of Shania's new album 🤤 hell everyone liked soldier and home and you don't even like those lol i think Shania is 6 for 6 on the songs i have heard. Some are better than others but all better than the crap on radio today. Oh and WE GOT SOMETHING THEY DON'T is another great song😲😲😲 Don't get defensive now I just find it hilarious that of all the songs this is the one you like. i like it too but a few others stand out more in my opinion.
You're so predictable. So easy to provoke you. Seriously, stop!
For me this one stands out and that's it! Put up with it.

"Roll me on the river" doesn't have it for me yet, the autotune is a bit too much for me. Think it has the same producer as "poor me". I love "home now" and "soldier". Can't wait for sept 29
Demi Lavato, Miley Cyrus, Shania Twain, Dolly Parton and now Michael Jackson are all set to release albums on September 29, and it is expected to be one of the most explosive weeks in music this year.
Sunday’s issue of The New York Times is sure to be one of the single heaviest your newspaper carrier will ever deliver. Inside, the Arts & Leisure fall preview issue — all three parts, 42 articles, 80,837 words and 1.9 pounds of it — is independently the largest section produced by Times journalists each year.
In preparing this year’s fall preview, dozens of reporters, editors, critics, copy editors and fact checkers spent January to August compiling hundreds of listings to provide readers with insight into the forthcoming season of television shows, Broadway premieres, art exhibitions, classical music performances, pop and jazz record releases. Fact-checking alone took two people almost an entire month.
.....For the pop music staff, recent years have introduced a new wrinkle into the process of putting together the preview: Artists who opt to release albums by surprise, rather than providing a firm release date. (The practice has been en vogue ever since Beyoncé went that route with her self-titled 2013 album.) “Music, more so than other disciplines, has become difficult because it can get made much more quickly these days,” said Jon Caramanica, the pop music critic. “An album that has just been completed today can be put out in a week from now.”
Still, Mr. Caramanica and his fellow Times music critics managed 66 album listings — excluding Taylor Swift and Sam Smith, both of whom announced album releases after the section’s print deadline.
That's great, her UK fans are really supporting her return on the spotlight. Both on iTunes with the new songs and with the new album pre-orders. I hope she'll announce an UK Tour leg soon.

Isn't "Swingin" suppose to be released on the 15th too to U.S Country Radio? What are the chances that "Swingin" will be played on Country radio?
I have a strong serious question. All I am is just curious. With all these "promo" tracks being released do you think Shania's team is fearful for the fact that the singles are not charting quite well and that her return has been overrated? Do you think also that because Taylor, Katy, Miley, Dolly, Micheal and a few other artist have released better tracks/albums? Do you think that she NOW will not be number one across the board? How is she doing on the digital side of things? Has she made a video for "Swingin" (with the assumption from her announcements and statements she already have or did)
All I am doing is asking some questions like any one in the music industry would ask or think maybe.
All I am doing is the worst case scenario because we want the best, number one and sales to break all records.
****************** Please read and hear me out. Some feed back would be amazing***************************
I live Erie PA and for the past month, I have requested all singles on all the radio stations. I have lived the past month like any ordinary person would with running around Erie and the region. I have listened to the radio in three genre's pop, ac, and country. I have not heard LATGG or any of Shania's songs for the past month. I have even got up to listen to the morning shows and 5 o'clock rush hour traffic. I had to do 5 manual home improvement projects giving me the chance to listen to three different stations for hours while working. I heard nothing. I keep hearing the same ole pop, a/c and country songs that are charting, current and past. There were a few times where I heard Shania'a songs but the chances I heard her was 10% but 90% of the time I did not. What do you think the problem is? Am I wrong to think the way I am thinking or why hasn't Shania team gone full blown with her comeback?

oh for goodness sake relax and go for a run or concentrate on work lol nobody is worried about anything, she will be just fine and sell well. She has been ahead on Amazon for presales ahead of all those other acts releasing on the same day. i think you seriously need to take a step back, this is not good for your health. This will be a very successful comeback. She is 52 year-old so stop expecting her to compete with itunes singles or with kiddies on pop radio. She is an album artist and her album will do very well.
It's just the final promo single, like "Poor Me". "Swingin' With My Eyes Closed" is officially the second single off the album.
Shania's current single, "Swingin' With My Eyes Closed", will be sent to radio on Monday, September 18. Like "LATGG", I don't expect it to have much of an impact on Country radio.

"LATGG" is climbin' AC chart week by week ;)
So happy!
Well, I know we were hoping a different chart hit, like Hot100 or CountrySongs, but hey, AC chart is one of the most important in US, even 4 Grammy nominees!
And about "SWMEC" please, just wait!
I think it could have more appeal 4 country genres and, after smashin' success of "LATGG", I am expectin' same (more) success in AC chart ;)
From what I have gathered, Shania's label and management team are really trying hard to reinvent her image to the masses. She has been gone so long...Things she never would've done 15 years ago was be the featured artist for a tennis grand slam, do any sort of music festival, have her songs be featured in movies, etc. The crazy part about it, Shania has had so much exposure with all these interviews and television show appearances, but that still seems to not be enough to bring her back to where she left off. I don't think Shania's concern is with country music anymore quite honestly. That is apparent in the musical sound she chose for this album. What I am surprised with is that her label is supporting her. Mercury Nashville is a country based label, but we know she's never been completely country, but it seems as if her country days are long gone with. I'm surprised she didn't do a partnership with Big Machine who has more success in the modern day country pop world (Taylor Swift, Thomas Rhett). I do believe Shania has resigned a contract with Mercury Nashville. How many albums? I am not sure.
To be honest, I don't think Shania herself wants to be what she used to be, back in the day. She kinda went in-between the lines in recent interviews stating that she was over worked and didn't take the time to rest or whatever. And honestly she said it her self. She doesn't care if her record is a success, because it's already a success to her. This record in the end is more for her than anything and she's sharing it with the fans, weather they end up liking it or not. That being said, It will be a success!
I think you are right! Sometimes, as a die hard fan, I want her to be right back on the top of the country realm. And that is very selfish of me to think! Besides, even if she had that desire, it would still be hard to do given how long it's been, age, and the newer sounds that have come along.

news flash!! She is 52 years old lol She is a global music icon who has achieved more than most. She is not here to compete with the kiddies and trash songs on radio. Shania's album will be a success without heavy radio airplay. And please stop this county music stuff lol Shania's album is universal with maybe 2 kind of country sounding songs on it. Country radio was never going to support her, she is bigger than your country realm and the act who get airplay there. Shania belongs to a number of genres worldwide. You all need to relax, i can say right now that she did an amazing job on her comeback album so far. Shania is just reintroducing herself to the public after all this time. Stop worrying about country, she is bigger than that and she owes them nothing. They have rarely supported her.

I have to, again, agree with you. It's actually best that she is not placed in the country genre, because if she would, she'd be limiting her audience. By being in a more universal genre, she's opening up doors, and more people will have a chance on hearing her music. Her focus has never been 100% country but because that's where she started from she still gets recognition in Country music which is, I guess, still great! It's the same as Taylor Swift. She started out in country, and slowly worked her way out, and is still always talked about or represented when it comes to Country. No one is giving her flack for it either and she even further out there in terms for genre, than Shania.
Nobody is giving Taylor swift flack for it because she had it easy. Shania took all the flack because she was a trailblazer.Shania is the one who opened the doors and she is the one who took all the crap and was rarely recognized by the industry.
NEWS FLASH!!! If anyone is following Shania on Instagram, she shared another story of another potential promo single....it's an instrumental short snippet of "We've Got Something They Don't"!!!!!!!!
Don't know if this post belongs in the social media thread but it looks like we may have another promo single SEPT.15!

Relax? Hmmm, the knowledge and insight I have on the music industry and culture will possibly blow your mind. I am speaking to those who know how Madonna's "Ray of Light" was huge. I am using an example. Think about all the other female "diva's" artist from Babs to Katy who has released albums, singles, cultural impact, headlines, and awards. We know she is a global icon and legend but technically she only had three albums and handful of singles that made a huge imprint on the music industry and the world. I dare you to ask 10 perfect strangers from all walks of life and you ask them do they have any of Shania's albums and then you ask do they have any albums from these icons, headliner, and legends? We know her intentions, her story, her viewpoint and what she would like plus what. Another example is Jennifer Lopez. Jennifer Lopez at one time has number one single, album and movie in America. Some of the current music on today's radio is not trash but it seems its recycled material while her new material is fresh, her style and what we know. Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" album had 4 number ones (doesn't that ring true with The Women In Me?) Cher has had a hit and number one singles plus number album in every decade since 1960. I mean everyone is so "Beyonce this, Taylor that" Those female artists from VH1's 1998 has reached the platform of icons etc. Even though she maybe 52. She is still young and all I am asking is what would it take for country radio to wake up and play her material? I mean for the love of God and all good things Shania. She still has not done a CMT Crossroads which every other female artist has done. I mean Shania and Pink. If she would spend a little more time in Nashville. Meaning if her management and team would go to a country bar or stage on Broadway in Nashville putting Shania up there with her guitar, band and new material on CMT then she will gain more country music fans. We love the fact she spends a lot of time in the UK and across the pond but if she focused on the United States more things might be different. I would love nothing but for Shania to walk away with album of the year at the Grammies to show country radio and those bleep who continue not to play her material or new material she is an icon, legend etc.
I know dear, but we must say: NOW will get an "Album of the year" nomination (at least) if sleeps in Billboard200 Top10 for (at least) 4 weeks! We all know that! If the album drops Top10 after 1st or 2nd week, well, they never, nevah, include NOW in nominations bar, trust me: if the can, they don't! Look back @ UP album in 2002/2003, after spending 5 weeks @ #1 they hadn't include it!
She could play the "comeback" card, but the album MUST have a moderate/huge effect in sales/chart; debut in #1 will be a great showcase already ;)
I wanna be optimistic :)

Is everyone ready to stream the album even if you're buying it? I think we should start spreading the word about streaming since it gets factored into the charts.
I know there's a pre-save link for Spotify on the official site.
I've had the chance to listen to "We Got Something They Don't" about 10 minutes ago and even if it wasn't in HQ, I can say it's something incredible.
So sassy. I can't wait to hear it properly in a metter of hours!!!
Brace yourselves to listen to "We Got Something They Don't". I'm totally speechless. The song is unbelievable, especially the second half of it, from the second chorus right to the end.
It's such a triumphant song!!
