OMG my dears, what a day!
WHAT A DAY!!!

Finally got my NOW cd copy!
Standard edition!
Ok, I love the booklet, amazing the disc with those beautiful clouds, very dreamin'!

About the album, it's better than I thought, what I can say after 3 listens is: as a composer, Shania has a problem with bridge parts. ahahahaha yes!
I mean, the melody is ok, until bridge! That part is always strange, too different from other verses...well, of course not in every song!
I truly dislike Roll me on the river, sorry guys! What I like of that song is...the bridge!!! OMG! ahahaha
For NOW! ahahaha

Here is my list of favourites!
1) Life's about to get good
2) Swingin' with my eyes closed / Who's gonna be your girl
3) Soldier / Home now

For NOW! :D

And about the brand new video!
I LOVE IT! So sexy Shania! Finally a great promo 4 a great song/single! I'm hopin' a debut in country charts and, of course, in Adult Contemporary chart!!! ;)

WHAT A DAY!

I love the Swingin video!!! It's good to get another sexy Shania video, after all this time! 😍

Also I don't know where to put this, and I don't know if anybody will agree with this top 10 list or not, but thought I'd share it anyway.

A YouTube channel known as MsMojo which is known for doing Top 10 List videos of just about any subject (As it's the sister channel of WatchMojo) recently uploaded a Top 10 List video today on #ShaniaDay of what they believe are The Top 10 Shania Twain Music Videos.

"Swingin' With My Eyes Closed"

Can someone please AGAIN help me out with this single and song? I did not except this. I was excepting a storyline, something to connect the material to the artist. I am still lost on the whole "summer's here... " If she kept that whole "summer's here" out it could make sense and I do not get the video. All I see are dancers just dancing. No action no fist in the air. Can someone please help me with this single, song and video. I am lost! Like LATGG if some of the lyrics like "summer's here" was left out maybe something better or connectioning..

I think the music video emphasize the "swing" dance. It is still summer as you notice sunlight flashes in the scene. But this is much sexier compare to LATGG video. Shania is still freakin' hot with a nice butt 😊

Ok so you got me thinking and on the right path to connecting everything. What else do you think and what else do others think? Can anyone put any more input lol

Shania Twain is living her best life on Now: EW review

The icon returns with her first LP in 15 years

By Madison Vain | Entertainment Weekly | September 29, 2017

Rating: We gave it a B+

Over the course of four albums released between 1993 and 2002, Shania Twain dominated radio charts, destroyed sales records, and busted pre-conceived notions about where pop and country overlap on the Venn diagram of genre. She was a leopard print-clad icon — and a great one at that. She finally returns this week with the triumphant new LP Now, still draped in spots and on the upside of a decade that witnessed major changes to her voice (due to a condition called dysphonia, which she attributes to Lyme disease and stress) and a headline-grabbing divorce from now-ex-husband and longtime producer, Mutt Lange.

The singer has been adamant in the walk-up to this release that Now is not a divorce record. She’s mostly right: While “Poor Me” seemingly alludes to the discovery of Lange’s affair with her best friend, Twain doesn’t spend the album mourning the end of a marriage; instead, the album’s 12 tracks (16 on the deluxe edition) celebrate a woman who, at 52, is finally coming back into her own. Case in point: She wrote every song by herself before enlisting producers like Ron Aniello (Bruce Springsteen) and Jake Gosling (Ed Sheeran) for some studio polish — the ultimate middle finger to every naysayer who credited Lange with her success.

Twain’s newfound hear-me-roar attitude is all over the album. On the heartwarming lead single, “Life’s About to Get Good,” she bids goodbye to old scars: “Life’s about joy/ Life’s about pain/ It’s all about the forgiving and the will to walk away.” On the reggae-inflected album opener “Swingin’ With My Eyes Closed,” she sings about chasing her bliss and living for the good times. Elsewhere, the understated “Because Of You” finds Twain — now married to the former husband of the woman Lange was having an affair with — opening up about letting love back into her life. “The most beautiful sound I’ve ever heard,” she sings over just a steady beat and an acoustic pluck, “is you breathing at night.”

Fans will certainly notice how different Twain’s vocals are post-dysphonia. Once an alto with a feathery-high register, she now sings with a deeper, flatter instrument. The album closer, “All in All,” makes the new limitations of her voice apparent, but more often than not, the changes are transfixing. Twain has been through a lot over the years, and the blunt, weathered qualities of her voice only make her anthems about survival more affecting and more potent, especially on tracks like the heartache-filled “Poor Me.” Those who would disparage her for not sounding like the “old Shania” are missing the point of this album — and with songs this good, they’re missing out, too.

Key Tracks:

“I’m Alright”: A banner ode to keeping your chin up

“Roll Me On The River”: Twain wants to rock out about all the things that make her feel good. Don’t overthink it, just join her.

According to Hitsdailydouble Shania is heading to #1 on the charts in the u.s. with a 6 figure sales estimate. Once again Kevy right !!!!

SHANIA HEADED TO #1

Hits Daily Double | September 29, 2017

Based on very early reads, it looks like Shania Twain's Now (Mercury Nashville) is headed for a #1 debut. This is Twain's first studio album in 15 years.

Shania is expected to score a six-figure debut, which at this point looks sufficient to surpass bows by Safehouse/Island/Hollywood's Demi Lovato and RCA's Miley Cyrus. Check back here tomorrow for updates.

Shania Twain is ‘Now’ back with her 1st new album in 15 years, but are critics welcoming her back?

By Daniel Montgomery | Goldderby | September 29, 2017

It took 15 years to get to “Now.” Shania Twain was once country music’s most dominant superstar with a remarkable three straight albums certified diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America: “The Woman in Me” (1995, 12-times platinum), “Come on Over” (1997, 20-times platinum), and “Up!” (2002, 11-times platinum). But personal struggles — including a widely publicized divorce from husband and musical collaborator Robert John “Mutt” Lange and a vocal chord disorder that affected her singing voice — kept her out of the spotlight.

There’s a lot for her to live up to now that she has returned with her fifth studio album, which was released September 29. Her voice is back but not exactly the same as it was before, and she’s reentering the musical landscape in the wake of country-pop crossover stars like Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood, whose trail she blazed a decade before they came on the scene. And while she maintains a lot of goodwill from music fans, critics are somewhat mixed about her new effort, which has a MetaCritic score of 53 as of this writing.

It’s a “strong comeback that plays to Twain’s strengths.” She’s “wiser” and “more mature,” and “it all sounds great.” But she’s “trying to twist herself into new knots” adapting to the current music landscape. The album could use more “feisty” songs like “That Don’t Impress Me Much” and “fewer inspirational metaphors.” And her voice is well suited to her “slower, moodier” songs, but “that’s not the case in the uptempo material.”

Probably in the hundreds, remember this is the digital age and unless you are forced down peoples throats like  that fake Taylor Swift then you won't approach that now adays. In  shanias hey day she kicks Taylor's skinny ass lol But for now it would be nice to debut #1 ahead of two younger pop tarts who were supposeed to beat her in the first week.  And  Hopefully if she debuts number one and gets that much more attention from the younger kids who weren't even born when Shanai released her last album lol Remeber this album was to reintroduce her into the public and looks like she came back with a bang with a #1 debut. Lets hope the prediction holds lol

Shania shoud be applauded for this album and knowing the critics would be all over her and that people are expecting her to sound the same. But Shania evolved and grew as an arist and created a very strong comeback album with excellent songs. I never understood why some socalled fans wanted her to live in the past and recreate the same old music. That was amazing music back then and people change and sounds change and artists grow. For once i see Shania as a true artitst and not one stuck on the same formulated sound. She took a risk and put herself out there and she made an excellent album.

Many fans have expressed negative outlooks on Facebook and other social media platforms regarding the album. As for me, I like half the songs, but could careless for the rest. Home Now, Soldier, Who's Gonna Be Your Girl, Life's About to agent Good, Light of My life and Swingin' are my favs. Makes you wonder since the tour and everything and her getting in movies just when we'll get a true country album again. I think that's why many fans are surprised. Cause even though Shania has gotten less country each album, this is by far way more pop than country. Very few songs even have the country instrumentations that made all her other albums great.

After listening to the whole album quite a few times throughout the day, I've came to a conclusion, I REALLY LIKE this album, but yes, it still is one of her weaker albums, but that's the thing with Shania. She just has something special about her, that anything she touches and sings turns to gold anyway, so even when she is not at her best, she still sounds good, and still makes amazing music, despite the fact, that her new music is definitely nothing compared to Come On Over or UP! And by listening to each track thoroughly, this album is definitely not country, especially not as country as previous albums of her discography, but I STILL DO want more singles/videos from this album, so in my personal opinion if she was to even release 3 or 4 more singles/videos from this album this era, I think the best ones with even the slightest bit of single/video potential would be Who's Gonna Be Your Girl, Home Now, More Fun, and Soldier, and even Let's Kiss and Make Up (cause I freakin' love that song, plus one of my favorite pieces of lyric she ever wrote is in that song).
