"Best Friend" or "Brand New" might be released next. As far as radio airplay, the only chance any of the songs have is on Adult Contemporary where "Waking Up Dreaming" is STILL doing pretty good. "Giddy Up!" fell off the Billboard AC chart after one week at No. 30. Any future singles probably won't do well either.

If Shania and her team decide to not release Got It Good as a single they’d be making another Nah! kind of mistake. GIG is a vibe song and would be perfect for summer.

Cumulus Launches Your Music First Series With Shania Twain’s New Single

At least Giddy Up! is still played on AC Radio.

I would love her to release two new singles simultaneously (both with music videos) as she used to do during the "Up!" era..too bad we're not in the early '00s anymore!

Brand New and Best Friend are too good to be relegated to just album tracks status.

Shania Twain's 'Queen Of Me' Fizzles On Charts

Shania Twain’s Queen of Me has earned the dubious distinction of being her worst-performing album since her 1993 self-titled debut.

The Canadian superstar’s sixth studio album, which was released on Feb. 3 after several weeks of hype, debuted on the Billboard 200 at No. 10 with “equivalent album” sales of only 38,000. It then plummeted to No. 166 in its second week and fell off the chart completely by week three.

The Billboard 200 is compiled using data for U.S. sales and streams.

By comparison, Twain’s Now (2017) peaked at No. 1 and spent seven weeks on the Billboard 200; Up! (2002) was on the chart for 93 weeks, including five at No. 1; Come On Over (1997) made it to No. 2 and spent 151 weeks on the chart; and The Woman In Me (1995) was on the Billboard 200 for 107 weeks, managing to get to No. 5

Queen of Me debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart in the U.S. but disappeared from the chart after two weeks.

On the Billboard Canadian Albums chart – where Twain has spent a combined 17 weeks at No. 1 during her career – Queen of Me bowed at No. 2 but fell out of the Top 100 after three weeks. (Adding insult to injury, Twain’s 2004 Greatest Hits collection is currently No. 84 in Canada.)

The drop-off was more gradual in the UK, where Queen of Me debuted at No. 1 on the Official Chart and then slipped to No. 12 in it sophomore week and to No. 51 in its third week before disappearing from the Top 100

The album’s lead single “Waking Up Dreaming” peaked at No. 72 on the Canadian Hot 100 and “Giddy Up” fared only slightly better by making it to No. 70. Neither made the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart in the U.S. – but “Waking Up Dreaming” and “Giddy Up!” peaked at No. 10 and 13, respectively, on the Country Digital Songs Sales chart.

While there may not be much interest in Twain’s new music, fans are still keen to hear the hits. Ticket sales have been strong for the Spring and Summer dates on the Queen of Me Tour, which comes to 12 cities across Canada.

But, sales have been less promising for Twain’s eight shows in Canada this Fall. According to Ticketmaster, only a handful have been purchased for her October concerts in Montreal and Quebec City and November shows in Saskatoon and Edmonton.

So true! I am pretty sure she will also sell out tour until the autumn. ❤️ Shows in UK and Ireland are already almost sold out. In his article the author also did not mention that “Now” debuted at #1 thanks to the tour bundles. That’s a real piece of professional journalism 😅😅😅

I was hoping she will add more dates in Europe, for example, in Germany, Sweden, Norway, Denmark… I will never forget her show in Copenhagen back in 2018. 😩😭

I also do not understand why she can’t do a show in Switzerland if she is living there.

Sales are not good but who cares ? She’s a 60’s woman which it’s too difficult to still sell albums with new rules streaming plus physical.She’s a 90s artist , how many artist can say they are selling albums after 30 years. She took an hiatus of 15 years … has lost her voice which is quite different and now industry is so different, she’s not an streaming artist or a digital singer , sure her physical sales are so much better than most of the new singers and after 3 decades and with so many hits and millions of sales during those years she’s on the way to do what she likes not thinking in numbers

Does anyone expect Julio iglesias to get number ones or be on the streaming platforms leading the charts ? No , they sell physical music because their fanbase are not 15-30 years old . Shania actually has the same public , people over 30 that prefer having an album at home than have it online . She doesn’t need hits for 2 months . She has a worldwide market and can do what she likes and be touring with her discography year by year releasing music when she wants not thinking in having one song on the charts every 2-3 months.

Anyone thinks that universal/ republic are putting so much money on her ? Recording an album and 2 videos ? With not so much promotion? It’s not so expensive , sure they’ve got money with Shania , and her music does not sell 2 months , she sells during the years ,her albums are so many times during the years on charts , not on top but piece by piece are counting.

I believe her success will be shown during her tour due to record sales in general being a sh*tshow. Nowadays, albums will be bought by the fanbase, not the general public. The general public will listen on platforms. Shania's record company can't do the same promotions like in the 90s (other than talk show appearances, but even that doesn't make the biggest difference). Again, people will recognize her success due to her tour being profitable.

Besides, Shania is a legend. She doesn't need to prove herself as much. She is the best anyways ❤️

I do wonder how many tickets she will sell. I read somewhere that someone went to Carrie Underwood's latest tour and saw a lot of empty space/seats so there must have been many tickets not sold. I hope Shania's shows are sold out.

I did find it strange why Giddy fell off the Adult Contemporary chart so fast and then I was like it will be be back on the chart pretty fast once it got AirPlay. Spotify Giddy up did well, Also moving up 12 spots is impressive makes me wonder if the song will continue rising. Regardless the songs are doing better on the Adult Contemporary charts and honestly that's where they fit. I still believe Giddy up would have been a hit on Country radio had it of been added. In Canada is my problem usually Country radio play Shanias singles this time around nothing in Canada. Also In the USA the album sold over 30 000 copies in the first week and sold I believe 17000 copies in the UK. I wish Billboard didn't use streaming platforms to count sales. I know times are different had this of been the 90s early 2000s we'd be talking about different sales. Also the tour not selling out for the fall? It will my heavens it is only March. I looked at Ticket master and alot of shows are close to sold out or sold out. As for the fall once the tour gets going and word gets out tickets will spike. Come on Over Baby 40 Million pure sales. Artist today are having hits based more on streaming which shouldn't count. Personally this album is doing better than now and better produced. She's already had two hit singles because Adult Contemporary does count as a chart. Plus Spotify Giddy up is a hit and because over 13 million streams isn't that bad. No promotion singing the singles live is where the struggle of having bigger sales doesn't help. I also agree she took way to long to release the album when the first single is announced like with now. I don't think this record label did anything wrong. I was hoping for more songs and she scrapped a song I heard on Tiktok ages ago that sounded like a hit. Some say she scrapped the song but maybe it might be on a future album. I just hope she doesn't return to Vegas after the tour and starts making albums. She's nearing 60 maybe 1 or two more albums potentially. A Big duet with Harry Styles is long overdue. Not just a girl that song shouldn't have been added to the album because it was already released on another CD. Those other bonus tracks should have been added. She needs to add them to streaming. The third single needs a proper music video because Giddy up I enjoyed the video but i felt it was missing something.

I'm new here, I love the Queen Of Me Album. I love all the songs however some more than others. Queen of Me, Giddy Up, Brand New, Pretty Liar and the rest are good just picking my favorite songs. I expected the album to sell better and even have a few radio hits however to my surprise it hasn't happened. Regardless of the sales and having hits she made an incredible album.

Shania Twain Taps Producer Malibu Babie for Club-Ready Remix of ‘Giddy Up!’

Song comes off the singer's recent LP, Queen of Me

Shania Twain has dropped a new remix of her recent single “Giddy Up!” by producer Malibu Babie. The producer, who has worked with Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj, is notably the first and only woman to debut at No. 1 on Billboard‘s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs as a producer this century. Listen here.

“I like to work with talented people and it’s never really been part of my process to consider gender when choosing collaborators but I think it’s important to work on closing this gender gap we all feel is still an obstacle,” Twain explained in a statement. “So in this instance, I sought out a female remixer – I liked Malibu Babie’s style and knew she was a fan from her TikTok mashup of one of my songs. I think her ‘Giddy Up! Remix’ is awesome, she is so talented and I’m so pleased to give a fellow female producer the spotlight. I hope the fans love it as much as me!”

The original version of “Giddy Up!” appears on Twain’s latest LP, Queen of Me. The album also features singles “Waking Up Dreaming” and “Last Day of Summer,” and track “The Hardest Stone,” produced by Twenty One Pilots’ Tyler Joseph.

Earlier this month, Twain released her Spotify Singles session, accompanied by a cover of Harry Styles’ Fine Line song “Falling.” Last year, Styles performed two of Twain’s songs at Coachella, and welcomed the country singer on stage to deliver her Nineties hits “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!” and “You’re Still the One” together.

Twain will be touring in North America this spring and summer in support of Queen of Me. The headlining run kicks off April 28 in Spokane and continues through July. After a string of dates in the U.K. in September she will return to the road in the U.S. until mid-November.

I was thinking the same thing when I read their post. She's been in the music business for a very long time and she's allowed to have fun. She's never going to have success like she did before and if she wants to put out remixes like the "Giddy Up" one then that is what she should do. It's okay to not like the remix but to make a comment about her age is just unnecessary. There is a big problem with ageism in the music industry and fans feeding into those issues does not help.
