It sounds much better than it did earlier in the tour but I still cannot comprehend why she is miming to the harmony during the chorus when she sang it live ad-lib a few moments before. Like why did she not record a track of her singing the melody of the chorus and have it autotuned and the pitch corrected like she did for the new tracks for DBS and FTMO?

She's doing the same thing during the chorus of MIFLAW also. You can now hear her singing harmony.

Verses are lipped, chorus is live with her singing harmony, and ending is the studio version lipped. Makes no sense. It would make sense to sing the verses live and lip the chorus as she has done in the past.

What’s going on???? She let’s the audience sing when her backing track still runs…. 2 minutes 10 for instance and after the bridge. Same happened with the medley that night (which is now also backing track) and outta here. Is the sound engineer ignoring signals or sleeping? Its getting to obvious now she lipsyncs. I as a hardcore fan don’t care. But the average joe in the arena might :( sad to see how messy it is atm.

The sound engineer definitely messed up. a Family member of mine is a sound engineer and if they miss a que they have to make the best decision im the moment on what would be less of a distraction for the artist and the audience. Maybe they figured better to keep the track going then to suddenly drop it 🤷🏻‍♀️ - but also, it’s known that her voice gives out… so maybe she is ok with it being not as hidden that there is a backing track.

This is completely out of control. Why is she doing it??? She can't possibily expect people not to realize she lipsyncs 99% of the songs. Rumors are already spreading out fast. There's definitely something fishy going on...

Absolutely ridiculous! Never seen anything like it. What a cluster F*ck! biggrin

Yeah it must be an issue with the sound engineer not connecting the right sound to the in ears. In general all sound levels of live and backing vocals are very off and don’t match quite often in volume/echo as can be seen in many videos on youtube. Is it a new sound engineer by any chance? And why not work with pre-set functions then?

Totally hilarious! Wonder if you guys noticed that, the sound engineering in that Walmart Anniversary show is much up to standard. She is lip-synching but much lesser obvious. AND Cory Churko was not on stage as the guitarist. I think he was the sound engineer on that night.

I dont know why she has to keep Cory on stage, esp her performance is always tricky. Mic is on and off frequently in one song.

I also want to point out that the sound engineering of MIFLAW performance still sucks.......

(why Cory can claim himself as Music Director, he doesnt perform well....)

Was def live tonight in Moncton, NB. I think a big part of the show was live because I was looking out for it and didn’t notice a whole lot, except for FAFA and TDIMM. Was still an amazing show!

That YTSO performance is one the worst cases of obvious lip syncing I've seen from any artist. I don't want to pile on but she looks absolutely ridiculous doing that. It honestly looks to me that she didn't know the track was playing and thought she was singing live.

She did the same thing in Im Outta Here at 1:55 & 3:20. She holds out the mic and the track keeps playing:

Additionally, I still don't understand why they haven't fixed MIFLAW. The chorus sounds horrible. She is singing a lower harmony while while Paul Michael is singing the melody. I've said it before but thing that is super strange to me is that the verses are lipped but the chorus is this weird harmony. She is doing this on several songs including IGGG, FAFA and in parts of AMON and TDIMM. She also recently started doing it on Up! In the chorus as well. I have no idea why she's not just using the same tracks that she used for Let's Go and the Now tour.

And last night it was fully live again with even adlibs added to the mix. She sounded great in Moncton from what I’ve seen! She must just have nights where her voice won’t do what she wants due to the surgeries.

It was mostly live. FAFA and TDIMM we’re questionable though… maybe MIFLAW too, ithink it was a mix of both for that last one.

She's sounds much better in these. Her adlibs at the end of YTSO are really good. And she's no longer singing the harmony in IGGG except on the really high notes. One thing I have noticed is her backing tracks are much louder that her microphone when she is singing live. I also think it's strange that she's using new tracks for some of the songs (DBS, FTMO, HIH) while some of the other tracks (Up, AMON, IDIMM) are 10+ years old that she first recorded for the Still the One Vegas residency. It's just not consistent.

IGGG sounded terrible in Montreal. She sounded like she was slurring the words and she wasn't even on pitch. Every night has had serious sound issues on several songs. It's so unprofessional and Shania has been doing this way too long for it to sound this bad.

All I can do at this point is roll my eyes at some of the people on this board. You’re clearly not fans anymore, so stop critiquing and just leave it be.

Don't hear slurring - so if you find it so unbearable to listen or watch, then stop.

What’s the point here? You’ve made it known that you think it is awful. Many of us don’t. Many of the reviewers don’t. I understand that you disagree, but why do you find it necessary to continue to say, over and over again, how terrible you think this tour is? Why not just stop watching the videos?

There have been general sound and vocal mix issues since the start of the tour. It comes across very unprofessional to have these kind of problems occur every night.

Have you seen videos from the Halifax show?? Backing track playing but Shania still singing and pointing the mic to the audience while the backing track was playing...As if no one told her about it...or they thought: let's check out how this backing track sounds and let's try it in front of 20.000 fans instead of during soundcheck...That was the worst night music production wise.

As for her vocal ability: we all know the story and there will be nights where her voice won't be there. That's okay.

But she still seems to think her voice is better than ever when it's more often worse than ever. That was to be expected but Shania still doesn't seem to be able to face the truth...

I'd rather have her lip sync and enjoy the show than to struggle every night and visibily not enjoy the show. She's so focussed on her vocal delivery that she seems totally out of touch of where she's at. She gets that distant look in her eyes then.

It looks like Instagram has a bug again where only the Top 9 posts appear when you search something. For example, #shaniatwain. It's happening on the actual website and the mobile app. This happened once last year. So until the bug is fixed, it's going to be very difficult to find Shania pics from the upcoming concerts.

Disagree. I think she is sounding pretty good recently — much better than at the beginning of the tour.
But the point I was really trying to make is this: so he thinks she sounds awful and the tour is a disaster. Ok, fine. But there is zero need to repeat it over and over. The point has been made. Why not just move on? If one thinks it’s so terrible, why continue to watch all the videos? Just so he can have the opportunity to trash Shania on a Shania fan site? Makes no sense to me.
