Extra date announced for Shania Twain at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow
Let's go (again) girls (and guys obviously)
By Gregor Kyle | Glasgow Live | October 23, 2017
Shania Twain will play an extra date at the SSE Hydro next year after the first sold out in a matter of minutes.
The second show will take place on September 19 next year and tickets will go on sale at 9am this Friday October 27 via www.ticketmaster.co.uk.
The comeback star is playing her first UK tour in over a decade and will play all the hits from her career, which spans three decades and includes songs like Man I Feel Like A Woman and That Don't Impress Me Much.
The Canadian is still the top-selling female artist of all time in her genre.
The tour follows the release of "NOW," Twain's first new studio album in 15 years. She played her last concert at Bridgestone Arena in 2015.
Back in August, Twain's manager Scott Rodger told Billboard Magazine that Nashville's details were delayed because of an agreement the arena made with Garth Brooks. He's set to play seven concerts at the venue in December. Rodger and an executive at Live Nation said the contract stipulated that no other country music concert could go on sale until Dec. 1.
Wow, the Canadian dates are very pricy. I live in Seattle and i'm looking to go to a show in vancouver, and even with the exchange rates.... man they are up there!
Seconds before this photo was taken I told Jett he couldn’t come on tour with me… BUT you guys can 😂😘 Get your tickets to my #ShaniaNOW Tour atshaniatwain.com/tour

Shania Twain comes to Brazil to perform at the Barretos Peon Festival in São Paulo
Diva from the USA country is the main attraction of the 63rd edition of the event, which takes place in August
By José Norberto Flesch | Destak | January 29, 2018
After several times invited to come to Brazil, this time it worked and Shania Twain arrives in the country in August. The country diva will be the main attraction of the Barretos Peon Festival, a traditional rodeo event that takes place every year in the interior city of São Paulo. There is a possibility that she may also perform in other venues, but this is still to be confirmed.
The 63rd edition of the Barretos festival takes place August 16-26. The date of Shania's show will be announced in the coming days, as well as the sale of tickets.
Despite being one of the country's divas in the US, Shania Twain is Canadian. At age 52, Eilleen Regina Edwards, the singer's real name, had one more reason to agree to do at least one show in Brazil. The coming show is part of the world tour that promotes "Now", her most recent album, which was released last year.
Success
With a successful career that began 25 years ago, Shania Twain became known in Brazil in the late 1990s, especially with the song "You're Still the One." Other hits she recorded are "Man! I Feel Like a Woman!", "From This Moment On" and "Don't Be Stupid."
She also participated in some duets, like "Endless Love", that she recorded with the singer Lionel Richie; and "White Christmas," opposite Michael Bublé.
Shania was married for 14 years to Robert John "Mutt" Lange, a sought-after rock record producer who worked with bands like AC / DC and Def Leppard. With him, she had a son, Eja D'Angelo, now 16 years old.
In 2011, the singer wanted to bring a bit of her personal life to the public, and released an autobiography (entitled "From This Moment On") and a documentary ("Why Not? With Shania Twain").
In 2012, the artist kicked off a 2-year show residency in Las Vegas.
Here’s your chance to bid on the ultimate Shania Twain meet and greet package, and help a good cause.
The singer is putting a package under the hammer that includes concert tickets to the venue of your choice during her Shania Now Tour, as well as airfares and hotel for two. And, of course, the chance to meet Shania herself.
Proceeds from the auction benefit Point Hope. Point Hope’s mission is to raise awareness and champion the cause for forgotten children so that: Every child has a loving and nurturing environment; every child has the basic essentials to live a healthy life; local communities are equipped to deal with the challenges facing children; government, business, education and religious communities are encouraged to partner for the welfare of children. The staff of Point Hope are dedicated individuals who work diligently to help others that are in need, providing hope and care in the form of programs, individual attention and the creation of self-sustainable programs that benefit families and persons worldwide.
“It’s unacceptable for us to stand by and watch any child in this modern society suffer right before our eyes when there is something we CAN do about it,” said Shania.
Tour stop in Australia has been confirmed by the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney... Shania will probably also be announcing the Brazil concert and maybe a stop in New Zealand.
Performing her first Australian shows in almost two decades, the world’s top-selling female country artist of all time, SHANIA TWAIN, has announced her NOW Tour will hit our shores in 2018.
In celebration of Shania’s third consecutive #1 album – she brings her NOW Tour to Sydney on Friday, 14 December!
Shania is a five-time GRAMMY Award-winner and the reigning Queen of Country Pop, with more than 90 million albums sold worldwide. In Australia the September 2017 release of NOW notched up Shania’s third ARIA #1 chart debut, following 2002’s UP! and 1997’s hugely successful Come On Over. Hitting #1 in 1999, Come On Over spent 19 non-consecutive weeks at the top spot and 127 weeks in the Top 40 amassing sales in excess of 18-times Platinum. The album is home to four hit singles: “You’re Still The One”, “From This Moment”, “That Don’t Impress Me Much” and “Man I Feel Like A Woman”.
6 concert dates in Australia have been announced...
Shania Twain comes on over to Australia
By Australian Associated Press | Daily Mail | January 31, 2018
Country superstar Shania Twain has announced her first Australian shows in almost two decades.
The Now tour will visit Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, the Hunter Valley, Melbourne and Sydney with a mixture of indoor and outdoor venues in November and December.
The tour, which kicks off on May 3 in Tacoma, is in support of the album of the same name that topped the charts in Australia, the United States and the United Kingdom on release in September.
Twain's 1999 set Come On Over is one of the highest-selling albums in history, shifting more than 40 million copies worldwide including more than 1.2m in Australia where it has been certified platinum 18 times.
Australia & New Zealand, I am really excited to share with you that my Shania NOW Tour will be coming to you at the end of this year! It's been too long. Tickets go on sale February 9th, 10am AEDT. See you then! 😘http://shaniatwain.com/tour
Along with the 6 concerts in Australia listed above, Shania will have 2 concerts in New Zealand.
* December 18 - Spark Arena - Auckland
* December 22 - Forsyth Barr Stadium - Dunedin

Man! Shania Twain's coming to New Zealand!
New Zealand Herald | February 1, 2018
Shania Twain will tour New Zealand for the first time in December - but she's no stranger.
The country pop sensation, known for hits like Man! I Feel Like a Woman, will perform at Auckland's Spark Arena on December 18 at Dunedin's Forsyth Barr Stadium on December 22.
The shows will be part of her Now world tour - and they'll be her first time performing in New Zealand.
But Twain is no stranger to our shores, having spent time here on her ex-husband's plot of land in in the mid-2000s.
"I was just so taken with the colours ... it's just stunning. And just the remoteness of some of these high-country stations was attractive to me, I really love being isolated and I love nature," she told NZME about her time here.
Tickets for both shows will go on sale at midday on February 9. A pre-sale begins on February 5.

Apparently Shania has not signed a contract yet so her Brazil show is still not official. However a tourism agency is selling packages to "Shania Twain concert" in Barretos on August 18th. I don't know how they can do that.

The Perfect Shania Twain Now Tour Set-List Revealed
By Laura Klonowski | CelebMix | February 11, 2018
This May country music legend Shania Twain will embark on a huge world tour of the world starting at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington USA. The massive tour will see Twain performing to sell-out crowds across the world including the aforementioned USA, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Germany, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Netherlands, Australia and New Zealand.
The Now tour will kick-off on May 3rd and will end on December 22nd at the Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin, New Zealand. Tickets for the highly anticipated tour are on sale now!
So with the queen of country-pop’s tour nearing we thought it would be a fantastic idea to put together our ideal set-list. Our 19 chosen tracks are taken from Twain’s ‘The Woman In Me’, ‘Come On Over’, ‘Up!’ and ‘Now’ albums;
1: Life’s About To Get Good
Our chosen song to kick-off the show is the catchy pop infused hit ‘Life’s About To Get Good’ which is taken from Shania Twain’s first studio release in 15 years; ‘Now’. We like to think this will get the crowd in a real party mood.
2: Up!
At number 2 we have picked the upbeat, optimistic track ‘Up!’ which will have the crowd on their feet, singing along in no time. It’s a real fan favourite.
3: Honey I’m Home
This track would be great at number 3 as it embodies the opening two songs as well as having a symbolic message that Twain is at home on stage and in the presence of all her loyal fans.
4: From This Moment On
With that high energy start now would be a great time for Shania to take a breather and with the ultimate wedding song she will have the crowd in the palm of her hands.
5: I Ain’t Goin’ Down
Another ballad, this time the stunning ‘I Ain’t Goin’ Down’ which is lifted off the ‘Up!’ record. The Canadian superstar doesn’t perform this song often but it’s a real fan favourite and would go down really well with the audience.
6: You Can’t Buy Love
Let’s kick things back into high gear with the bouncy ‘You Cant Buy Love. This is real highlight on the ‘Now’ record and will really get the crowd going. It also has a great message that resonates with listeners.
7: Any Man Of Mine
At number 7 we take things back to the early days with the classic ‘Any Man Of Mine’. This is always a huge crowd pleaser and it feels like the perfect time to introduce it into the set.
8: You Win My Love
This has always been a gem of a song and we would love to see the superstar performing it during her ‘Now’ tour.
9: Nah!
This is another one that is usually missed off the usual set-list but it’s a massive fan favourite and is a great crowd participant track.
10: Forever And For Always
Time to slow things down again this time with the stunning love song ‘Forever And For Always’. This track about everlasting love will be a real intimate part of the sow.
11: Light Of My Life
Keeping things mellow we continue with the spell-bounding track ‘Light Of My Life’. It’s a gorgeous ballad and we just love the lyrics and Twain’s lower register.
12: She’s Not Just A Pretty Face
Another slower track and a real women empowerment anthem. This will be a real highlight of the tour set-list and the audience would love it if this is included.
13: That Don’t Impress Me Much
Now it’s time for some old-school classics. ‘That Don”t Impress Me Much’ is a huge anthem and no Shania Twain tour would be complete without its inclusion.
14: Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under?
Everybody just loves this power country anthem and the crowd are on their feet right from the start. It’s a true timeless classic.
15: (If You’re Not In It For Love) I’m Outta Here!
Another classic! This song always goes down brilliantly on tour and the fans expect it to be included on every set-list.
16: Let’s Kiss And Make Up
Slowing things down again we return to ‘Now’ with this gorgeous slow jam that emphasis everything we love about Shania Twain.
17: Swingin’ With My Eyes Closed
Staying with ‘Now’ for the penultimate song with the modern day classic ‘Swingin’ With My Eyes Closed’. This song perfectly marries old and new together.
18: Man! I Feel Like A Woman!
No Shania Twain tour show would be complete without this all time classic and we feel it would be the perfect way to end the concert.
19: ENCORE; You’re Still The One
For the encore we feel it would be perfect for Twain to perform the ultimate classic ‘You’re Still The One’. The lyrics mean more than ever these days especially after a 15-year break as they now feel they are being sung to the fans.
***There's no way she'll sing I Ain't Going Down, Nah, She's Not Just A Pretty Face or Forever And For Always. And there are too many songs from NOW on the list. She'll sing LATGG, SWMEC, and probably 2 others. Most people who go to concerts mainly want to hear the hits. I just think singing more than 4 songs from NOW would be pushing it since LATGG is the only "hit" from the album. We'll see I guess.

A great star shines bright! 4... 3... 2 days left! The world is going to stop!
I was looking at the ticket situation for some of her concerts around the U.S. and there are still MANY seats available including on the floor. As is the case here in Atlanta.

By Vanessa Williams | The West Australian | March 4, 2018
It may have taken close to two decades but country pop queen Shania Twain is set to mark her first visit to WA in November when she begins the Australian leg of her highly anticipated Now world tour in Perth.
It was in 1999 that Twain was last on Australian soil for her debut Come on Over world tour, albeit skipping Perth.
Admittedly for the 52-year-old singer, her highly anticipated return Down Under — and her first trip to WA — have been a long time coming.
“It’s huge for me, I haven’t been to Australia for a long time,” the Canadian native enthuses.
“There’s so much of Australia that I haven’t seen and I’m going to have family with me who have never been there before so they’re really excited. We’re making an event of it on my end as well because it’s such a special place.”
With a few days to spare on tour to fit in some sightseeing, Twain is eager to check out what is renowned as one of the biggest drawcards for tourists visiting Perth — our beaches.
“I’ve never been to any of the beaches, which I know are amazing, I’ve only visited those places in photographs,” she says.
“So Perth, of course, will be awesome for that. I’ve been horseback riding when I was last in Australia and seen some of the countryside but this time I have a tonne of time in between. Last time I whizzed in and out, so this time I’m going to take a few days to look around.”
Despite still holding the record title as the highest-selling female country artist of all time, a lot has happened since Twain’s last Australian tour, most notably in her personal life.
In 2008, Twain discovered her husband and business partner Robert Lange, also the father of her 16-year-old son Eja, had been unfaithful with her best friend, Marie-Anne Thiebaud.
It took some time for Twain to recover from Lange’s affair and losing her best friend, so much so that she took a step away from the music scene which many described as her “premature retirement”.
But, like the strong woman who emanates through her music, Twain eventually bounced back.
She found love with her now husband Frederic Thiebaud, ironically the ex-husband of her former best friend. The couple have been happily married since 2011.
Another part of Twain’s healing process was immersing herself back into her music. It eventually culminated in her fifth studio album, Now, which was released in September and topped the ARIA charts at No.1.
“It was very necessary for me to go on that journey because writing is very much my therapy,” she says.
“If I don’t record or release songs that I write, the process of writing the music is already a huge form of therapy.
“It’s self help I guess...Then sharing the songs with the public is another layer of that therapy because it’s as if you let it go, you get it all out there and then you let it go, so it’s a cool process.”
Not only did it mark her long-awaited career comeback and first album in 15 years, it also spurred Twain to get back on the touring circuit.
Her Now world tour kicks off in May with shows in the US and her native Canada, before making its way to Europe then Australia and New Zealand.
“It very much so feels like the right time to go on tour, I mean I’m looking forward to performing my new music on stage,” she says. “The timing is excellent in the sense that I’ve been more isolated with the recording of the album and the making of the music in a studio environment, and now it just feels really appropriate to get out there and do it all live.
“It’s very exciting to be touring with new music in the sense that I’m experiencing a new novelty phase that I haven’t had in a long time because I haven’t made a new record in so long.
“I’m going to enjoy that, there’s an excitement to that. There’s a honeymoon period of having new music that is ideal to be able to go out and share that on tour with the people, so it’s good timing for me to be on tour and getting the chance to sing the new music live.”
Fans can also expect Twain to revisit some of her older material — the singer gets a huge kick out of performing her biggest hits from feisty tracks such as Man! I Feel Like a Woman and That Don’t Impress Me Much to softer ballads You’re Still the One and From This Moment On.
“I’m going to do all the classic stuff, I love people to be able to sing along and reminisce with me, I love performing the stuff that everyone already knows,” she says.
“Man! I Feel Like a Woman is always fun, I never get tired of it. And because so much of my music is up-tempo, the show is always in a climax, it doesn’t slow down much, so once we get rolling, it’s rolling ... I never get bored no matter how many times I do a song.
“There’s no bigger compliment than seeing how the audience are so energised and really getting into your music, the pay off is instant.
“At the same time I will be playing the new music for the first time on tour and the show itself will be high energy, most of my music is up-tempo, a lot of dancing and singing and there’s going to be a lot of excitement.”
Twain is in the best shape of her life as she prepares to embark on her colossal world tour.
And while she admits going on tour is a huge feat for any artist, where does she find the energy and motivation to keep going?
“I would say the fans are everything,” she says.
“Sometimes you’re not feeling well or you’re feeling tired because you’ve been travelling so much, so from one day to the next your energy levels can be unpredictable on tour.
“But it’s the fans who are the constant, it’s their energy that is the constant and you just forget about your own personal energy when you get out of bed and you ride with the crowd’s energy to be honest.”
She adds that having family by her side also gives her the extra boost she needs to keep the momentum going.
“I don’t like to be alone on tour, I don’t like to travel without family, it’s really lonely and it’s already very isolating,” she says.
“You have to be very disciplined, at least I do. I have to be disciplined with what I eat, what time I go to sleep ... so it’s just essential for me to have my own level of personal connection outside of the travel and the shows, it’s very important to have a family member or two along.”
Shania Twain plays Perth Arena on November 30. Tickets are available from Ticketek.
"Life's About To Get Good" "Up!" (?) "That Don't Impress Me Much" "I Ain't No Quitter" "Party For Two" (?) "I'm Alright" "Swingin' With My Eyes Closed"
I'm not sure if "Opening" means the opening act or opening song. If it means opening act, "Life's About To Get Good" is the opening song. If it means opening song, it will likely be a classic followed by "Life's About To Get Good". I just can't see Shania performing an "unfamiliar" song from NOW to open the concert.
It looks like there will be 19 songs, the same as in Las Vegas and Shania's "Rock This Country" tour.

Yeah, I just saw his Instagram Stories video. He hangs out at Shania's house in the Bahamas a lot! Personally, I hope she gets someone better than him as her opening act. He opened for her a few times in Canada at the end of her "Rock This Country" tour.

Maybe, Bastian Baker will be the opening act at the concerts in Europe (not in the United States or Canada)
Yeah he is there a lot. He went with her when she did the halftime show in Ottawa, he posted stories of him getting off the plane with Fred. theres an interesting age gap, I think he's only in his mid-20s or something so maybe he's friends with eja? Anyways, I hope he opens for her in the U.S. He has been doing a fair amount of shows worldwide. I think he could do well in the US, he only has done a few shows. I am a big fan of him.

Maybe, Bastian Baker will be the opening act at the concerts in Europe (not in the United States or Canada)
Apparently Bastian is recording music in Shania's basement studio. He posted a live video on Instagram. Eja, Fred and Shania's dog Melody are in the video too.
