Billboard - Week of October 8

It looks like "Waking Up Dreaming" is selling well in the U.S. and Canada. I have no idea how the song is considered Country. Must be because that is Shania's "default" genre.

Tommy what you think the plan is? New record label. She's hasn't really promoted the song in North America which is a bit odd. She has a lot of support in Canada. Cma awards or America Music awards perhaps?

Billboard Charts update - Week of October 22

"Waking Up Dreaming" climbs 9 spots to No. 16 on this week's Billboard Adult Contemporary chart in its second week on the chart.

She’s added to the A-list of BBC Radio 2. Waking Up Dreaming was also the No. 25 most played song on UK radios last week (all genres). This week it moves up 3 spots to No. 22.

I'm expecting a New single to be released next month, Probably will start promoting it when she gets to the USA. Unless she continues promoting Waking up Dreaming but a second single sounds more likely. As for an awards show? Hopefully a big announcement soon. Cma awards unlikely but AMA awards more likely. I'm thinking she was testing the single to see how it would do. Overall it has done relatively good on the AC charts. The Walking up dreaming isn't being played on County radio in Canada which I'm surprised. Tommy is correct it ain't County radio material. AC for sure and maybe that is the format she will use. Unless the next single has a more country/pop sound. Regardless I just don't think country radio will support her now doesn't matter if she released a country song. Adult Contemporary is still a chart and if they are playing it then they like it. To me the song is technically already a minor hit and we'll shall see how it does on AC Billboard Next week!!!

There must be a second single coming nothing has been released to Canadian radio, New single and album Friday with promotion in North America. I'm still confused why she didn't promote Waking Up dreaming in North America? Any thoughts Tommy? 

Yeah, I expect a new single Friday, too.
She's closing the Waking Up Dreaming single with the Behind the Scene video, so this leads to a new song era, I guess.

I wonder if she's gonna release Giddy Up or Luv Eyes, they both were on the posters seen on the WUD video.

But maybe she's gonna surprise us with another song. After Not Just a Girl and Waking Up Dreaming she might release a ballad.

 Summer is already over, so would not make sense releasing a song at this time of the year. Do we even know if she is releasing a new single On Friday? I haven’t seen any evidence of this per her posts. 

New single could be next Friday or November sometime,  She said lots of news. New album and world tour sounds correct. Come on over edition might be possible but would be strange this late in the game as she was with another record label. It's still early a new single could still come Friday it is only 12.30 P:M where I am currently to in Canada. So still a possibility. I'm currently staying in Eastern Canada Newfoundland. Also can't she release a new single Friday as a surprise? I know you said it would be released in certain countries tomorrow but a day later can be possible no? She has lots of News unless she will announce everything Friday. I still see a brand new single coming soon within a week or two. Maybe closer to the American Music Awards if she shows and I'm unsure at this point of the promotion for the album. The Cma awards seem extremely unlikely but hopefully she does promotion some how, I am curious as to how many songs are on the new album and curious to the sound. Seems to be an upbeat pop record. Regardless this is a new Era of Shania and I think she might be done with country music. At this point she wants a great album out she does not need country radio anyway because she already has all the social media platforms to promote it. 100% this will be a great album just doesn't mean it will be country radio friendly. She's 57 to get another album and tour I'm grateful. Bring it on Shania you will do just fine. Do what makes you happy. We love you and so does this website. Maybe just another song Friday but not technically a single release. Everything will be announced Friday and maybe she will announce a brand new single to be released next week. Still hope she announces something today or teases at least. I think the album will sell decent if the songs are good, The tour will be well regardless. I think Kelsea might be the opening act for all of her tours coming if announcement Friday. The Come On Over edition seems unlikely but those new YouTube videos got me curious that maybe that might be it. Unlikely but potentially. To release a new single I think she might announce one soon or perhaps close to the album release date. Come on Shania., no more teasing please I'm just wanting a new album. Don't care if it only sells 100 000 copies because I just love the new sound. I'll buy it and will see you on tour. Now get another single out soon my queen and music video and promote the hell out of it.

It doesn't look like a new single will be released on Friday. Shania would have announced it by now. "Waking Up Dreaming" was announced on a Monday (9/19). So it must be the album announcement coming on Friday. And possibly the tour announcement afterall. Or I guess there's always the outside chance of announcing the Come On Over: Diamond Edition. But I'm pretty sure it'll be the new album.

There's still time to release a new song. Usually, when you get a new song along with the album pre-order, the announcement is done the day before the release (tomorrow, in her case), even if in some Countries it's already Friday morning (New Zealand, Australia, Europe).

Taylor Swift always waits for Midnight on the East Coast to release her albums (last Friday, here in Italy the album has been available at 6 a.m.).

So anything can still happen.

If she releases a new song only on streaming platforms with the announcement of the album, that would mean it's not really an official single. It would just be a promo song like "Poor Me" from NOW.

The album is already available for pre-order on Apple Music in countries where it is Friday. The second single (or promo) "Last Day Of Summer" is also available. It sounds pretty good! I already like this album ALOT better than NOW.
